Row row row your boat

Glancing at the retreating Endo and group, Lucy smiled.

"Great, let's go get our boat" Lucy said with his eyes shining. That's why he sent Endo and the others home using his supposed identity as a champion of Ishkura.

He didnt really plan on riding a boat but when he heard that there were successful expeditions before, it grabbed his interest.

"It's getting boring just walking along the beach anyway..."

Unohana rolled her eyes, while Garona was excited.

"It's been a while since I have road a ship" Garona said with a deep feminine voice.

While Gob didn't understand what they were talking about, but he still screeched and jumped in excitement as he saw his companions being happy.

"It's probably nowhere near a good ship, but it should be a good experience" Lucy said, knowing that the boat might even be nothing but a raft.

As they walked for a few more minutes they finally saw their destination. As they walked by, corpses were strewn all around with most of them missing a majority of body parts.

Lucy would have vomited had he not been desensitized by the gore videos from his previous life.

Further down the horizon was a long boat with oars lined up on each side. Beside it were even more corpses and around ten lizard deviants feasting on the bodies.

Lucy sent a glance to Unohana and she immediately started blasti- ehem I mean casting.

Lucy looked at the ten barbecued deviants in front of him with a smile. "Fighting is exciting and all but having my summons do everything is also nice"

Lucy focused his attention to the boat. It was as he had thought, it was just a simple rowing boat.

A simple rowing boat made from wood that featured a narrow, elongated hull with pointed ends. It had benches or seats for rowers, who used wooden oars to propel the boat. On the boat were a few things like animal hides, berries, and other supplies.

After having Garona and Gob burn the corpses of the dead people, all four of them boarded the boat.

"Rowing boat or not its still a boat" Lucy thought as he smiled. He really wanted to sail, it was a new experience for him.

"Let's set sail, you guys row" Lucy said as he turned to his three summons with a smile.

"Yes chieftain" Garona answered, she was the one with the most experience when it came to boats.

Unohana kept a blank look on her face but still grabbed one of the oars. She was only thinking that wouldn't it be faster if she just carried them over the water.

Lucy refuted with a simple explanation "although that seems like a fun thing, rowing a boat to sail is more interesting right now"

While Gob screeched in excitement and grabbed an oar.

...

A few hours later, Lucy was peacefully lying down on the boat... Not! Lucy was currently leaning on the boat and vomiting.

"Ueghh" he wasn't used to traveling at sea, and it didn't help that he had just come from such a gory place.

"Are you alright chieftain?" Garona asked with worry in her voice.

"I'm fine..." Lucy said as he panted. To help cope with sea sickness, Lucy started to sing.

"Row row row your boat gently down the stream~"

"Merrily merrily meril- ueghh" Gently goes the vomit

Lucy was looking down at the water where his vomit went and was surprised to see a pair of red eyes looking at him.

No more concerning was... The thing had its mouth open as he vomited right at it.

This prompted Lucy to vomit even more causing the creature to roar and lunge at him him mouth wide open.

Lucy couldn't react but didn't worry as from the corner of his eye he saw a flash of lightning on Unohana's finger.

"My... That was my fault I didn't check properly since I thought the sea would be safe" Unohana said as she spread her reiatsu to check further downwards.

Earlier she only kept the reiatsu within a hundred meters, which is why although she felt the deviant coming up she couldn't warn Lucy properly.

"It's alright, is should have expected and told you there would be deviants from the sea as well" Lucy said while years came out of his eyes. He couldn't help it he was still laughing at the deviant that ate his vomit.

Gob mistook this as Lucy being scared so much he cried so he went near Lucy and patted Lucy's back.

Lucy was confused but didn't mind it.

...

After a few more hours, Lucy finally started getting used to the sea sickness and stopped vomiting.

And with Garona's guidance and his summons diligently rowing, they finally saw land beyond the horizon.

"Finally, after six hours we see land" Lucy said with a smile, he got so sick of vomiting he almost wanted Unohana to just get them over the water.

It didn't help that Unohana had to constantly create barbecue as they kept getting attacked.

"I didn't there would be this much deviants... I guess sits only natural, the eternals did take a few thousand years to wipe them out..."

Waves hit the shore as the boat landed on the sandy beaches. Lucy quickly got up and jumped down from the boat.

Stretch his arms, Lucy enjoyed the feeling of not being on sea and feeling like he might get swallowed up by the big dark deep.

"Ahh this feels nice, although that was an interesting experience I don't think I'll do it again anytime soon"

"That's probably for the best" Unohana said as she remembered the scene of Lucy vomiting his guts out.

"Looks like we made it just in time too, the sun's starting to set" Lucy said as he looked at the setting sun illuminating the mountains and the sky in an orange hue.

Lucy enjoyed the scene with the three for a few moments before the sun fully set bringing the world to darkness.

A while later, Garona finished setting up a simple campsite using logs from nearby trees and stones from the shore.

Lucy laid on the logs thinking of where to go next. Boat riding was just an impulsive thought that came out of him, but it was still in line with his goal of traveling.

Exploring like this was not just fun, it gave him experience and it allowed him to gather knowledge.

In just a few months he had already learned a number of things. The city of Eridu was already up and running, starting the conversion of nomadic tribes to more stationary and self-sustaining societies.

Boats were also being implemented starting the trend of sailing the unknown waters for treasure and resources.

Not only that, he was also doing this to see if he could encounter quests. But so far no luck, it seems like the system quests are completely at random.

"I also fought a proper monster" Lucy smiled thinking that exoloring was the thing he wanted to do right now.

"But... I do wish I had my bed" Lucy said as he felt the hard log underneath him, if only...

Wait a minute... Lucy suddenly shifted his gaze from the crackling fire to Unohana.

"Hey Unohana~ I don't think my sick self can sleep on something like a log today~"

Lucy had a shit eating grin as he felt the soft sensation on the back of his head, Lucy closed his eyes and slept like a baby.

...

As the sun rose, Lucy and the gang already set off and started to walk further inland. They were still on the coastal area though.

Lucy glanced around, looking at the coastal plains with sparse vegetation, he thought that this place might lose all vegetation if this continued.

Although Lucy had that thought, he didn't think it would happen since even though the vegetation was space, it wasn't rare or anything. It was like 50/50.

The real problem is...

"It's too fucking hot" Lucy said raising his head and wiping the sweat on his forehead. Gob was also sweating profusely and slumped on the ground but was quickly picked up by Garona and carried.

He glanced at the other two and immediately fealt jealous.

Garona wasn't just an orc, she was an orc who lived in Durotar, heat wasn't a problem for her.

While Unohana wasn't even affected thanks to her reiatsu.

Looking at Gob being carried by Garona, Lucy looked at Unohana... Again.

The heat was just too much as much as Lucy wanted to walk with pride like a proper transmigrator, his health came first

"That's right this is so I don't get sick... If I were to get sick that would be dangerous..." Lucy convinced himself, it was for his health, and not because he liked being carried and being lazy.

"I'm not lazy, this is just being efficient, even if Unohana expends energy to carry me zero multiplied by two is still zero"

As such began the traveling of the two carriers, one holding a goblin like a sack of potatoes. And the other carrying a man much taller than her in a princess carry.
