Chapter 9: Saving is worth it!

"Only now do I realize, that man's wisdom was incredible..."

...

"It's thirty contribuition points, Zhou Ding Jun" a tall handsome guy with spiky golden hair said, passing a sword to a brown haired kid.

"What! Thirty contribuition points!! That's too much for a sword like this!" the brown haired kid yelled, the price of the sword seeming almost unreal to him due to its ordinary looks. He was now regretting not looking at the price tags just because he earned a little bit of contribuition points by beating a trial disciple named Yang Kai that day.

"Hey, man, it's already a low price for an ordinary middle grade Sword, so pay up" the blonde handsome kid said, tending his hand towards Zhou Ding Jun as if waiting for it to be filled with the latter's contribuition points.

"Damn you, Mo Fan! I'll pay you just because I am in a good mood today since I beat that ant, Yang Kai, otherwise you wouldn't even see those contribuition points!" the brown haired kid yelled, angry, as he filled the gold haired kid's hand with contribuition points, his pockets depleting almost entirely.

"Thank you and have a good day, Zhou Ding Jun" Mo Fan said, a wide smile forming on his face as if he was mocking him.

"You have a good day!!!" Zhou Ding Jun yelled, quickly leaving the golden haired's shop, shutting the door with violence on his way out.

As soon as he was alone in his house-shop, Mo Fan started jumping out of joy, his eyes shining like they never did before "I love novices, they always pay!"

...

They always pay? Isn't everyone supposed to pay when buying something? Well, not when you are in a world where the strong rules. In fact, it had been four years since Mo Fan joined the sect as a Special Disciple and everytime someone stronger than him came to buy a weapon, they didn't have a reason to give him the contribuition points needed for it since Mo Fan couldn't do anything to them nor could he go cry and seek the help of an elder or stronger disciples since they despised people with no talent like him. And, because of his talent, almost everyone was stronger than him, meaning that the contribuition points he earned in this four years were relatively little.

He only got them when newbies, that just entered the sect and because of it were much weaker than Mo Fan since they hadn't had the time to surpass him yet, bought something from him, paying everytime or atleast until they became stronger than him, process that took a relatively small amount of time. And also when the sect distribuited contribuition points to every disciple, so every month.

...

Mo Fan then quickly annoted the contribuition points and, by doing some basic calculations, he found out how many of them he had: enough to buy a martial skill from the sect's library!

"Yes, after four years of saving, i finally reached the amount that old fart of a treasure asked me to take a ordinary middle martial skill from the sect's library!" Mo Fan said out loud, already immagining himself stronger than ever "Now, I won't have only the Long Fist and the Whip Kick in my arsenal anymore! I wonder what Yang Kai's reaction will be!"

So, the gold haired kid immediately left his house to head towards the treasury, not wanting to waste any more time.

...

He arrived at the treasury and violently opened the door due to the emotion, causing a loud bang to be produced, the old treasurer abruptly waking up because of it.

"Who dares to disturb this king's sleep?!" The treasurer shouted with power, not being able to recognized his waker's figure due to his eyes being still half closen.

"It's me, treasurer Meng!" Mo Fan said as he slowly came closer to the old man.

"Mo Fan, you rascal!" The old man yelled, angry because the gold haired kid interrupted one of the best dreams that he ever had: a fantasy about returning to his home "How did you dare to wake me up?!"

"Sorry, Treasurer Meng, but I came here for a super important thing!" Mo Fan said, looking straight in the old man's eyes with an extremely serious face.

But, his seriousness didn't last that long as his eyes immediately started shining once again "I have finally saved enough contribuition points for a ordinary middle martial skill!"

"Really? Good for you then" the old treasurer said as he tossed him a wooden token with words Ordinary Middle Grade inscribed on it, but this only after he received the thousand contribuition points required for it "With this, you just need to go to the sect's library and you'll be able to take a martial skill of the grade written on the token"

"Thanks, treasurer Meng" Mo Fan thanked the old man with a traditional bow, a genuine smile printed on the handsome lad's face, leaving immediately after, now in direction of the sect's library.

"Ah, this guy..." the treasurer Meng muttered now alone in the treasury "He and that guy, Yang Kai, are really troublesome..."

...

A giant pagoda was now in front of Mo Fan's eyes as he arrived at the sect's library: its wooden walls painted with a blazing red colour, its height nearly reaching that of a mountain and its position being the heart of the sect. It wasn't obviously the first time that Mo Fan had seen it, but every time, he couldn't help himself, but be mesmerized by the library's extraordinary beauty.

Snapping out of his amazement state, Mo Fan proceded on its way to obtain a martial skill: he put his right foot on the first of the many stair steps leading to the library's entrance.

Step after step, the gold haired kid finally passed those stair that seemed to never and arrived in front of the sect's entrance, huge wooden doors with dragon carved on them presenting to his sapphire like eyes.
