Ch 12: Make you own path

When yang feng sprinted towards the wolf, the wolf with it's remaining conscious mind was barely able to react. It raised it's paw covered with a layer of Qi and slashed at him, yang feng at the last moment used his 'Eight Trigram Body Shifting Technique' and deflected the slash towards the ground.

He was also able to redirect about 30% damage of the attack back to the wolf, which caused it to experience a backlash and sprewed blood from it's mouth which worsened it's condition.

With the attack dealt with, yang feng again used his fist technique once he was under the wolf and striked near the wolf's heart while shouting," Dieee!!!".

With the wolf's current condition from both the first punch and it's attacks backlash from just now, it was not able to withstand this strike and the shockwave simply made it's heart burst.

The moment seemed to have frozen and went silent, not even the sound of wind breeze could be heard. That was until the body of the wolf slowly fell sideways, leaving the other figure standing with his left hand in the air.

Yang feng slowly lowered his hand from the air. He was drained and was barely standing, but he knew that it was not time for staying here, as the commotion from the battle and the absorbtion of Qi by the flower was quite big and other monster beasts will probably come here. He walked towards the wolf and brought out a knife from his inventory. He then made a cut on the wolf's body, where he had punched. After a few minute, in his hands were two monster cores taken out from both dead monsters.

During the time he was harvesting the cores, the flower had stopped absorbing Qi from it's surroundings. After putting the two beast cores and knife into his inventory, he walked towards the said flower while taking out another knife made out of jade from his inventory.

After analyzing it, yang feng learned that the flower was a herb belonging to yang attribute and was a completely mature Peak-Earth grade herb. After learning about that yang feng's breathing grew heavy and he knew why the two monsters were fighting over it in the first place. Carefully but also urgently, he cut down the useful part of the flower and left it's roots as is.

After harvesting the herb he swiftly putted it in his inventory and left the area with haste. He had made a great choice, as a few minutes after he had left the area it was visited by many tier 2 monsters who could not do anything but growl at being late and a few even started fighting.

After leaving the area, yang feng started looking for somewhere safe so that he could recover from his injuries. After looking for an hour he found an empty cave hidden from view of anyone not actively looking for it.

As soon as he entered the cave he took out a healing pill he got from his father and swallowed it while sitting cross legged and started circulation of his Qi cultivation technique. It took him only two hours with the pill to heal.

After he was healed, he replayed the memory of his battle with the wolf in his mind. This battle was a reality check for him, he thought he was invincible below the true element realm. But reality slapped him in the face, he knew that he won because of two reasons only. 1) the wolf had already used much of his strength against the rat. And 2) the wolf had underestimated him when taking his first attack head-on.

If the wolf was in his peak or his first attack was dodged, the one to die would have been him. Just thinking of that his scalp turned numb and cold sweat started falling from his face.' looks like I was still taking it easy. It doesn't matter if I am a reincarnated person or what cheats I have if I die.'

'My body has always been stronger but this is because of my physique. How do I increase my strength quickly', he thought. After a few minutes of thinking his expressions turned stranger and stranger and all of sudden he started laughing uncontrollably," HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...HAHAHAHA....hah hah*heavily breathing* I am such an idiot. I have been so focused on the cultivation system of this world that I overlooked the fact that people follow this system because it was practiced by people before them. But there are few protagonist those modify the system or even make their own cultivation systems in there own realities because they have the knowledge to back it up."

' I may not have enough knowledge of cultivation systems to modify it but I can use the knowledge of the other protagonists and use it as a base to improve this reality's cultivation system.' he mused to himself.

After going through all the knowledge he had about all types of cultivation systems. He made up the improvments he wanted to the cultivation system. After he was finished compiling all the knowledge in his mind palace he heard a familiar 'ding' sound.

Confused at first he saw that there was something new in the mission section and opened it.
