Chapter 28 : LET'S BREAK UP

" Ai Lin! Darling! I'm back!"

Ai Lin who was having a nice conversation with a few handsome maids was startled at the loud shout. Not only her, even all the maids presented were shocked at the joyful voice of their master. They exchanged perplex glance at each other. They had never seen their master retuned home cheerfully like this.

" Honey, where are you?" Mu Zihan entered the house with his face full of happiness. He had to leave the house and stuck with some business for a whole day and he missed his dear little kitten. He had the urge to rush home after she said she missed him as well but he had to settle the issue of that bastard, Ni Tao. He couldn't wait to see her any longer.

However, his steps were halted when he saw what was laid before his eyes. Ai Lin was sitting on a sofa with a group of handsome men surrounded her. They were chatting and laughing happily.

Mu Zihan clenched his jaw and gritted his teeth, holding back his fury. She said she missed him and yet she was there sitting and laughing happily with other men. And what with all that men? How big was their guts to dare to steal his woman in his house?

" Zihan, you're home. Come, sit here." Oblivious to Mu Zihan's jealousy, she smiled stunningly at him and patted the space next to her. Well, actually she just pretended to be oblivious to the sudden sour smell of vinegar.

Mu Zihan shot a warning glare towards the male maids. Seeing the furious glare of their master, all the maids disappeared in seconds without a word.

Ai Lin was flabbergasted. Her jaw dropped at the sight of the maids. Why they ran away after seeing Mu Zihan? Was he a scary man?

" What happened? Why they run away?"

With a stoic face, Mu Zihan sat next to her and ignoring her question. " Do you miss me?"

" Huh?" Ai Lin was flustered. What was with the sudden ' do you miss me' question?

" Do you not miss me?" Mu Zihan asked again but with different question.

Ai Lin was confused but still answered him truthfully. " Of course I miss you. Why did you ask such a question?"

" Do you like me?"

Ai Lin nodded. " I like you."

" Then… Do you love me?"

Ai Lin was stunned. She never expected he would ask that kind of question. Moreover she didn't have any answer for that. When he asked, did she miss him, she confidently agreed with that because she really missed him. And when he asked, did she like him, she immediately said 'yes' without hesitating. Honestly, she liked him a lot. But... love? She was unsure about that. Did she loved him?

Mu Zihan was waiting. His heart beat wildly and thumped his chest hardly. He was hoping for a positive answer from her. However, after a while she still didn't give him any answer and contemplated look was obvious on her face. Like someone was tugging his heart, he felt pain on his chest.

" Do you not love me?"

" …"

" Why aren't you answering?"

" …"

" Why you keep quiet?"

" …"

" You really don't love me, aren't you?"

" …"

Mu Zihan kept bombarded her with questions and stared at her with an accusation in his eyes.

Ai Lin rubbed her temple, not knowing how to respond to that. " Zihan, that's... I…"

" What? You're engaged with me, yet you don't love me? Are you playing with my fragile heart and intend to dump me after this?"

Ai Lin who was initially flustered suddenly could feel her heart burned. His questions this time ignited the burning fire in her.

" Are you accusing me right now? It's not me who wanted to get engaged, but you did it without getting my consent first. Don't you dare to say you had proposed to me and I accepted your proposal. That was all bullshit! I was in coma and suddenly when I woke up I already became you fiancée. And now you said I'm playing with you and gonna dump you later? Fine! I'll fulfil your wish. Let's break up!" Not wanting to be in the same space with him any longer, Ai Lin stood up and left Mu Zihan alone.

She was really irritated right now. At first, she thought maybe she should give a try and accept everything that had happened. Be a good fiancée to him, had an amiable relationship with him, and let the fate decided everything for them later on. But now, she changed her mind.
