Chapter 56
Josh sit up right and took the water from her with a word then drinks a good quantity of it, after he finished, he returned the bottle to Amanda who suddenly pour the whole content on his face
"Are you awake now!" She snapped and he looked at her shocked.
Amanda also didn't give him and glare at him then she stood up and turned to leave but josh was quick to regain his senses and grab her hand to stop her from leaving.
"Where are you going to?" He asked in a low voice
"To get more water for you" she answered and he released his hand.
"There is no need, am awake" he answered and ret his back on the seat
"Then you should go home and not sleep here again" she told him
"How did you know I have been sleeping here?" He questioned surprised. Amanda ignored his question and pick up his car keys on the floor
"Let's go, I will drive you home" she told him but Josh hugged her instead stills sitting and Amanda doesn't seems to be moved.
"Am sorry, really I must have lost my mind to say that to you" he apologized but she didn't say anything but keep standing excepting him to explain more.
After getting into the car with Mars, she feels that she needs to get an explanation and an apology from him no matter how she looks at it.
She apologized to Mars and told him she wouldn't be able to help him tonight, he told her it's fine then he took her back to the company where she is sure Josh must have returned to.
"Goodluck" she said to him before leaving and he replied the same thing.
"I was just angry to see that you have moved on to Mars so quickly" Josh added and released his hands again.
Amanda looked at him with her eyes softened and sat down beside him, she had her suspect that he must have misunderstood that she is dating Mars for real and his words just confirmed it.
Josh saw her movement and become more bold to speak up his mind
"You told me to forget about what happened between us and moved on to another guy instantly, you even rush to him worried and concerned, what guy wouldn't get jealous?" He said and Amanda find herself laughing at his cuteness
"So you hit Mars because you were jealous?" She asked and he affirmed with his head. Amanda chuckled and almost laughed.
"That's right, aren't you supposed to be with him right now?" Josh asked confused and Amanda couldn't help but laugh
"Why will I be with him when he is going to propose to his fiancée" Amanda answered still smiling
"Fiancée? But didn't he say…" Josh said and trailed off trying to see if he heard wrong earlier
"I was supposed to help him with the surprise but I can't because of you" she said like she regret it but didn't.
"Then why were you on a date with him" josh questioned still confused
"Also to help him, what were you thinking? Why would I go on a date with someone I barely know" she interjected
"I don't know, maybe because you wanted to get married as soon as possible"
"I never said that, I just said I wanted a relationship that will lead to marriage not just to date someone" she corrected and he was silent trying to digest the information and realising that he had just made a fool of himself in front of everyone.
"If you are not comfortable with me working here then i can go to sus.."
"Don't even think of going anywhere, i want you only to myself" he said like a small child trying to claim a delicious Candy for himself
"I'm not a thing or a property" Amanda told him although there is no sign that she is annoyed.
Josh hugged her closely and kissed her neck briefly
"Please just stay with me, I promise to fulfil all your wishes and do whatever you want" he smudged his face on her body
"These few days has been like a torture for me" he confessed still rubbing his face on her body
Amanda has been acting tough to conceal her feelings and emotions and even spend time outside the office to avoid running into him too much but didn't know that he is also suffering as much as she is.
Amanda called his name gently and he raised up his head to look at her, she lean forward without a warning and kissed him, Josh blink his eyes surprised for a few seconds before he also kissed her back.
Amanda took his hands admist their kiss and place them on her waist, she has really missed his touch on her body and the both of them lay down slowly on the seat still kissing…

Sharon was shocked when one of the people she hired to spy on her husband told her he has arrived in the country and he is with Laura.
She knows that for him to return suddenly without a notification or message and go to Laura means something is wrong but she can't place her head around what that is.
"Continue to follow them and get back to me soon" she instructed and took her purse to leave the house so she could go meet them wherever they are but she got a text back that he already lost them and will try to track their location again
"You useless thing! How can you be so careless" she yelled angrily and sat down on one of the chairs, she dropped the phone and removed her earrings.
Sharon heard a knock on the door as she stood up to go back into her room and called out to the maid to get the door.
One of them quickly rush out from the kitchen and opened the door but is shocked to see Laura and her father standing outside with Nicholas behind them
"Who is it? Why are you standing there like a moron?" Sharon snapped and went towards her then push her out of the way
"Dave!" Sharon exclaimed surprised to see him and even more shocked to see Nicholas with Laura
"Son, how come you are together?" She questioned resting her eyes on him but Nicholas didn't give a reply and he looked very moody and unhappy, Sharon move away so they can come inside
"Get me some water" she barked an order at the maid who is still standing and she ran back to the kitchen. Sharon noticed the look on Nicholas's face but didn't mention anything about it, the three of them entered inside and sat down while Sharon remained standing.
She got a call from her man but hang up and served Dave the water which the maid just bought
"How come you are here? You didn't tell me you will be back today" Sharon said expressing her surprise but didn't acknowledge Laura at all
"I have something important to do" he told her and moved an inch away from her
"What's wrong? Are you tired from the journey?" Sharon asked sensing his reluctance to her, not like they have a good relationship for the past years to begin with.
Dave ignored her question and was getting impatient but Laura moved closer to him and held his hand gently then turned to her stepmother
"Why don't you sit first then we can talk" Laura speak up for the first time and Sharon sensed her seriousness, knowing that she might be the center of their discussion, she brace herself for the worse.
"Don't you have anything to say to me after years?" Sharon asked impatiently when they all remained silent after another minute.
