Chapter 25
He walks angrily out of the building and put a call through to his secretary giving him the instruction to track Laura down immediately and tell him her location.
He wanted to leave but remember that he left his pen in the meeting when he left angrily earlier so he turned back to get it
Chris got to the room again and it was empty, he saw the pen on the floor and pick it up then pocket it and came out of the room.
As he walked, he heard some heated argument coming out of a room nearby and walk towards it. The door was closed but he can still hear the discussion faintly
"Is that why you slept with her?" he heard Clara's voice yelling at someone and the other whispered in reply but he didn't hear the answer
"Avan, are you really telling me the truth? You've been acting really weird and you even sleep over at her place now" Clara yelled yet again and Avan said something but he still cant hear him
"What is going on?" Chris thought and decide to listen more
"Do you still love me? Are you giving up on what we've shared?" he heard Clara's voice again and Avan yelled in reply this time
"Yes I love you or I won't be here explaining to you if I don't, look we have something much more…." Chris didn't wait to hear the remaining words as he step back in shock
"Did I hear correctly just now?" he wondered
The conversation is between Avan and Clara so that definitely means that the both of them are in a relationship….

After Avan left, Laura felt bored and tried playing games but that wasn't the kind of thing she lovew doing and she's not the type that likes hanging out with friends so she decide to go shopping.
She drove down to a nearby place and start to buy random things she doesn't really need, after doing that and buying things for more than an hour Laura still wasn't feeling good within herself so she decided to go back home
"Chris will definitely be at the office and won't be home by this time" she thought before asking the staff to help her bring her things to the car and drove off.
She had this silly thought that will he will call to ask after her or get worried but none of that happened, he must feel relieved to be able to have the house all to himself and Mira.
He always act like he doesn't like her but still allows her in his life, no man will ever allow another woman to love in the same house with his wife but he shamelessly bought in a girl claiming that his mom is behind it, more like he wanted it.
The attention and company they shared together and the little things they shared in that short period makes Laura want to start regretting the fact that she rejects him back in high school. Except for the fact that he want rich, he has every other qualities and went out of his way to make her happy even when she insults him.
"It's better now to let things go before i gets more involved with him"…
Laura soon pull up at the house and with her head full of thoughts, she imagined seeing Chris at the entrance waiting for her, she hissed when she realized it's just an imagination and opened the door to enter but she was startled to see Chris also at the entrance about to grab the door knob
"Christ!" She shouted taken aback.
"How are you here?" She questioned and wanted to walk pass him inside but Chris pull her back angrily
"Where have you been?" He asked
"That is none of your business" she retorted and tried to push pass him but he didn't let her
"Why didn't you pick up your phone this morning?" He asked again
"Because I was still sleeping" she answered and pull away from him forcefully.
Chris looked at her furiously and feeling extremely sad, he wanted to believe that Avan is just lying and trying to make him angry but it appears he told him the truth
"Did you sleep with him?" He asked a question he doesn't want to hear the answer to and he remembered the scent on her body is the same with the one he smelled on Avan earlier
"What!" What nonsense are you saying?" Laura said and walk inside
"He was taking care of me all night okay, also I don't know why I have to explain to you when you kept a girl in here day and night" she explained also getting angry but Chris wasn't listening to her words, he hold her hand suddenly and start to drag her upstairs to his room against her wish.
Laura protest and screamed at him wondering what on earth is wrong with him but he just keep dragging her and when he got to his room, he head straight to the bathroom and opened the shower then he threw her into it and start to remove her clothes
Laura yelled at him calling and him all sort of names and struggling but he was too powerful.
Blinded by jealousy, Chris ignored her screams and start to use his hand to scrub her body As if trying to get the scent off her
"You are hurting me Chris" Laura yelled again and her words seems to bring him back to his senses as he stopped, Laura break free and slapped him hard across the face.
She tried to cover her body but all her clothes were wet now, Chris tried to reach his hand out to her but stopped. He got carried away by his jealousy and did something he didn't mean to
Laura looked at him excepting an explanation as she stopped trying to cover herself up but not was forthcoming, she stood up angrily and kick him in the leg
"You psycho!" She yelped but as she turned to leave Chris grab her hand and pull her back into his arms and before she could say a word to him and kissed smashed his mouth against hers.
Laura was shocked and opened her eyes wide in shock, she didn't know what to react and just stand as he continue to kiss her hard
Chris slow down and held her waist then he start to kiss her more gently and put his other hand around her neck, Laura also reciprocate the kiss and opened her mouth to give him full access.
Chris pull in for more exploring her mouth and more.
As he held her waist and roam his hand on her bosy, Laura could feel her body on fire and the lust was irresistible which made her shiver in his arms.
This is something she never except from herself after how she promised her not to get involved with him again but the kiss feels so good and his lips taste like strawberry and soft, she slowly opened her eyes and closed them again enjoying evey bit and it and wish the time never stops.
Chris continued to place his hand inside her clothes as if he can't get enough, her wet clothes made him feel her skin right under his arm and he wants more than that
They continue to kiss till Laura sneezed and they stopped while Chris looked at her with worry and apologetically. He almost forgot that her clothes are wet.
Laura bits her lips nervously feeling awkward as she tried not to look at him directly in the eyes, she cleared her throat twice wanting to say something to clear the silence air but before she could find a word, Chris beat her to it
"Are you okay?" He asked and she nodded yes gently then he carried her in a bridal style and came out of the bathroom and carried her into his bed. He lay her down and quickly use his clothes to cover her body
"I will bring you some clothes to change" he said and made to leave, Laura held his arm back gently
"I have some clothes in the car, bring that instead" she told him and he left but soon return with her shopping bags and place them on the floor next to the bed
"Which one will you like to wear?" He asked and held up one of the dress
"Take off your clothes" he said and place his hands on her body trying to help her take them off.
"What do you think you are doing?" Laura slapped his hands away
"Taking off your clothes, aren't you cold?"
"I will take it off myself just leave first" she said
"Why? This is my room" He asked acting clueless
"I will leave then" she said and wanted to stand up but he stopped her
"I won't look" he said not giving room for any negotiation and turned around.
Although Laura still feels it's weird but she start to pull off her clothes and throw them to the ground then she start to put on the cloth he took out of the bag and soon finished
"Am done you can turn around now" she said and Chris gently pick the clothes on the floor
"Don't touch my bra" she mouthed feeling embarrassed
"I already saw it at the bathroom" he said and went to drop it in the laundry room.
Laura was more embarrassed and blushed, she use the bedcover to cover her face and lay down on the bed properly.
