It was lunchtime for employees working for Kim's companies, buzz and gossip were constant since the morning of that same day.

The unimaginable happened and those concrete walls could barely stand with anticipation for news.

News travels fast, especially when it involves your boss.

Kim Dong-hae has officially handed in his resignation as Vice President and many gossip and rumors have cropped up in the brief attempt to explain the powerful man's sudden departure.

Kim Enterprises was a major real estate company in Seoul, and its influence spread throughout Korea and parts of Asia.

Dong-hae is the third child of five, being the second oldest male child.

The Kim family was led by Kim Do-yun, he was the father and chairman, as the majority shareholder he still ruled the company.

Even though he now knew his idiot son hadn't done much more than get in the way.

Dong-hae's departure was the result of Do-yun's own internal investigation into the company's financial books.

With some effort he was able to trace a strange movement of money to numerous foreign accounts and they all led to a single person: Kim Dong-hae.

His idiot son was robbing him.

The only one who had been interested in the family business was really only interested in robbing him.

The old gentleman was already in his 70s and his retirement was about to be announced, it was a great stroke of luck to discover so many problems when he was still active in his own company.

The chaos would be even worse, if that were possible, if Dong-hae took over the business for good.

Obviously, the news of the resignation was already circulating among the employees, but it was just a matter of time for it to be announced by the media and worse things to emerge.

The cafeteria was usually busy and full of excited voices, this afternoon was not much different.

The big difference was why all the gossip involved the boss... Ex-boss?

Two employees were talking to each other about the rumors they had heard all day while eating. "I heard that the vice president is going to be investigated for embezzlement... Can you believe it?"

The woman listened intently and widened her eyes in astonishment. "The tattooed hottie?"

She made a strong effort not to spit all the noodles out of her mouth.

She clearly had Donghae's masculine and athletic appearance in her mind! A yummy!

Well, a hot guy who looks more like a mobster, but still a hot man.

Donghae always wore body-hugging dress clothes that strongly marked his muscles, there was no way to say that he wasn't a strong man. Tall and strong.

"Exactly! I've always found him terrifying, but he's..." The person looked around to make sure no one would overhear what he was about to say.

Although gossip strengthens an individual, it could also be his downfall... I still want a paycheck at the end of the month!

His voice dropped to a thin, frightened whisper. "... A criminal."

The woman approached the man on the other side of the table and whispered, also cautiously. "Who do you think will take over the companies? Mr Kim appears to be close to retirement already."

They definitely couldn't be less suspicious.

No one really cared who they were talking about, but they went on living in their respective little worlds.

Everything is fine.

The man became thoughtful, he wouldn't know how to answer. No one would know the answer other than Kim Do-yun. "He seems to have one more child, but she's barely graduated from college..."

It was no secret that Do-yun was a man with many children and they all seemed to be very successful in their respective fields. The man adopted four children before he could have his first biological daughter: Kim Eun-ji.

The woman sighed tiredly, she still had a lot to do after lunch, who cares about rich people's problems?! She shouldn't. "Rich people have complicated problems."

"Yes."

Meanwhile, on the top floor of the huge building a warm gathering was taking place.

Kim Do-yun ordered an urgent meeting to be held along with the other shareholders, everyone felt uneasy about what was happening and everything would only get worse.

One of the shareholders had received notice that the story had already leaked and would soon be televised in the main newspapers, said and done.

They could feel their bodies losing life as they watched the newspaper anchor's words.

"Kim Dong-hae has just resigned as Vice President of the great company Kim's, many are wondering who is fit for the job and will accept the daring mission of trying to save the company from bankruptcy. After almost 20 years dominating the market, this it is the first time that it faces such a big crisis. Its shares have already shown devaluation and the forecast is that it will end the day in a fall…"

The television abruptly turned off.

The silence was desperate and frightening… They were on the verge of bankruptcy overnight. A loud sigh was heard.

Kim Do-yun rubbed his hand over his face as a way of calming down. In vain.

He was getting more and more angry, whoever looked at him would easily notice his reddened eyes, he was completely angry. "What Dong-hae did was destroy my entire legacy..."

The old man at the end of the huge table wanted to kick and scream and kick. His nerves were frying.

A loud and strong sound was present, scaring everyone, the old Kim simply punched the glass table.

One of the shareholders close to him tried to reassure him. "Mr Kim, we understand your anger, but Miss Eun-ji is too young to assume the presidency."

The reality was very harsh and everyone there thought that the old man had gone crazy, he wanted to nominate his youngest daughter as vice president, the girl had barely finished her degree in economics and she had never really worked in an administrative position in the company.

Do-yun just closed his eyes and loosened his tie, he felt like he was going to die without air. "I don't care, I've already transferred the shares of this company to her."

"But sir..."

Men and women whispered to each other completely shocked to learn that the little girl was now basically the owner of the company.

The old man didn't care about that anymore, only who was blood of her blood could destroy him. "I'm not asking you to choose her, I'm letting you know that she will be your new boss..."

It didn't take long for the meeting to be interrupted by a knocking sound, someone knocked on the door. "In between..."

A woman appeared and everyone knew that it was Kim Do-yun's secretary, she briefly opened the door and bowed in respect. "Miss Eun-ji has just arrived from her trip and is already outside waiting to go in."

The man sighed in relief, she was finally back. "Ask him to come in."

"Right."

The door never even closed, and footsteps could be heard along with the dragging of a suitcase.

Eun-ji didn't have time to change her clothes and that's what she went on her trip with. She dressed casually and only had a blazer on giving her some air of authority.

The young girl walked towards her father and he got up to hug her.

"Father."

The man drastically changed his behavior when he saw his daughter, as docile as a small dog seeing its owner after a long time. He really looked like a loving father at that moment. "Good morning dear, how was the trip?"

She smiled feeling funny, do you settle down like a good parent now?!. "I had reporters waiting for me, do they already know the news?"

The old man particularly hated newspapers and reporters, to him they sounded like parasites desperate for food. "Will know about these worms..."

Everyone watched father and daughter interact and the old man took advantage of the attention on them. "Please introduce yourself…"

"OK."

The young girl finally dropped her suitcase and sat down in the chair where her father had been.

She was so bold that she made everyone want to shout the command out of respect. But she didn't care.

"My name is Kim Eun-ji and I am the new president of Kim's, I hope we can work together in a friendly way... Or will I really have to fix things more definitively and I don't think they want that... For those who are bothered, I'll be waiting for the resignation letter tomorrow, if you want to sell your shares, do that... But it won't be worth more than a piece of bread."

Her voice was husky and firm, she didn't raise her voice and everyone seemed to feel their bodies go numb in her presence. That girl looked like the devil.

A few men dared to face her and only one had some kind of courage to greet her. "You're welcome, Miss Kim."

The young woman just smiled satisfied, for her that was a great start.
