Maniac : Rise to Power

Private Hueng Min Park is nearing the end of his 17-month conscription in the Republic of Korea Armed Forces. He finds himself constructing Quonset huts in the DMZ, despite their apparent lack of purpose. Hueng Min is frustrated with the wastefulness of the project and the incompetence of the higher-ups in the army. However, he finds solace in his passion for strategy games, city builders, and agricultural simulators. He spends his free time researching and learning about economics, finance, history, philosophy, politics, and old technology. Hueng Min is a highly intelligent and knowledgeable person, but his interests are not advantageous during his military service. One day, while he overhears a group of non-commissioned officers planning to celebrate their return home, a bullet hits him, and his consciousness fades.
