Chapter 6. "Save yourself"

When Isla reached home she was very happy. She worked really hard in her college days for this day to come. Now she would start working in the Lee group head office from next Monday. She was looking forward to it.

When she reached home it was already 6 pm. Now she had no energy to do anything thing. She decided to sleep for two hours and then go to grocery for buying some ingredients for her dinner. So she went to the bed, set her alarm to 8 pm and slept like a log for next two hours.

After two hours her alarm started ringing. She got up , washed her face , drank some water and went to nearest vegetable market. Isla liked vegetables a lot. She would always prefer vegetables over meat. Not because she hated meat but because she truly loved animals. She once saw cutting of hen when she was young and since then she left eating meat even when she truly liked it. And now she rarely haves fish and eggs sometimes.

On her way back she started having really bad feeling about something. She didn't knew what it was, but she could feel restlessness within herself. The highway was unusually silent. Even if it was nearly 9:30 pm , usually capital city streets were never so quite. When she reached crossing, she saw green light for crossing the road. When she was in the middle of the crossing, she saw a car coming with a very high speed in her direction. She was trying to see the driver but couldn't see from the distance. She froze at the place. As the car approached she wanted to move, but couldn't. It was as if the ground was holding her legs to the place.

Just before the car could hit her the person from back seat directed the steering to another direction. The car hit hard to the pole at the side of the road. It was heavily damaged.

Isla couldn't make out what just happened. She was in daze. She was scared.

She didn't knew how she went towards the car. But when she reached the car , she saw a very bloody scene. Tears started to fall and she started mumbling to herself. ' it's ok ..... it's ok.....you can do it .You have to save them . Just do it ' she was crying heavily. She reached the back door of the car and saw the man heavily bleeding from God knows where. the scene was very messy. She bent down and started to helping him out. The man mumbled something she could not make out. He repeated himself. " Just .....run ..from.. here ..save yourself..."
