Chapter 36. Don't be too eager........

When Daniel reached Lee corporation head office, he got out of his car as his driver opened the door for him. All the guards, and Watchmen at the gate, along with some of his secretary staff lined up in a que and bowed to welcome him. Daniel walked in the building with a very domineering aura around. Nobody could dare to do any kind of mistake. The reseption staff was bowing with full respect and greeted him. He walked with his long strides towards his private elevator and got inside it followed by his secretaries.

Jack was stading just behind him. After sometime a 'ding' sound came. The elevator door opened and Daniel got out followed by everyone. He went inside his office and sat on his chair with grim expression.

"Sir, this is the report of the person who was leaking the information of the company" Jack kept the file in front of him. Daniel coldly looked at the file and said, "send the man to our base. I will handle him after sometime."

"Yes sir." said Jack and proceeded to tell him his schedule for the day. He also showed him files of the upcoming projects and some monthly targets and plans. After that he left the office excusing himself.

Daniel was sitting in his chair and reviewing some files shown by jack earlier while sipping on his coffee.

After about three hours his phone buzzed. "Brother, father said that you have to be present in the gathering this time. He will announce your marriage to everyone." It was Jasper's call.

"Okk. I will be there in two hours." He said before cutting the call.

Daniel got up to leave. On his way, Jack also accompanied him along with his guards.

It was a gathering of the men of 'The Great Five Families' of the country which was conducted every six months. These meetings were held to insure the safety and harmony amoung the families. These were, The Lee's, the Wright's, the Rodriguez, the Edwards ,and the Gonzalez.

Usually, in these meetings Jasper would go in place of Daniel. But this time William specially asked for his presence and Daniel had to go.

Inside a house, in a middle of a large farm owned by the Lee's , inside a luxurious room,

There were around 15 men sitting in the couch which was kept in the middle of a dimly lit, large room. The men present there had a very extraordinary appreance. They were very well built and had a very complex and domineering aura around them. It was, as if each one of them was personally sculptured by the god himself. Flawless and irresistible. Grandfather Lee, along with four other old men were sitting with some ten other middle aged and young men . The room was having some serious conversation when Daniel entered.

Daniel had his own strong and scary personality. He looked as if he was an immortal who belonged to some other world. The other young men present in the room also had similar personality that made them distinct from the crowed.

Daniel came forward and sat on his place. He slightly nodded and acknowledged some people present in the room. He also greeted his elders.

"Today I called you all to tell that, Daniel recently got married. And I would like you all to wish him and his wife with your good wishes." said William with a proud smile on his face.

Every body was happy to hear the news. All of them congratulated Daniel, his grandfather and William for the good news.

" Daniel, why didn't you invite us? I assumed that we were good friends" said Eric Gonzalez with a very complex smirk. He was the most complicated one among the group of the five friends.

"It was done so as not to attract too much attention towards my wife." said Daniel plainly.

It was true. Daniel didn't want to hide his marriage, but he had to. He never wanted Isla to be in danger. A very big and grand marriage at the time when he had constant threat to his life would put even Isla's life in danger. And he never wanted that.

"Then when are you planning to introduce 'sister in law' to us?" asked Eric again.

"Very soon" said Daniel to him with a smile.

"On the day of your wedding banquet, i was abroad for a business. I heard that you disciplined someone for treating her badly. I think, she has already melted the 'stone heart' of our brother Daniel. I am now very eager to meet her." said Oliver Wright with a playful smile. He was the cousin of Daniel. His maternal uncle's only son.

"Don't be too eager if you want to live long." said Daniel with a plain voice.

Oliver raised his brows with amusement but still quieted down.

All the men had some business conversation for a while. They talked about many things to strengthen their connections and security around them. These five families were friends from many generations. They even had marriages amoung them. This would make them nearly impossible to loose against anything.

"I heard that Daniel had a suspicious accident awhile ago. What was it about?" asked Elder Rodriguez.

"It was planned. We are still on it." Said William.

After around four hours the meeting along with lunch , served by the servants in the farmhouse, ended.

Daniel, along with his four other friends left for their work first. The rest of the members left after some lively chats amoung them.

After two hours of journey, Daniel came back to his office. It was nearly evening but he still had two conferences to attend. He had to be present in the gathering due to which he plan to take Isla out on horse ride failed. He called back home to tell her that he would be home only by dinner.

"It's okk. Do your work. I will help mother in the kitchen to prepare the dinner." is all she said before cutting the call.

Daniel was really unhappy that he could not keep his promise to take her out but he also had to look after the big empire. He couldn't leave it. He already took enough holiday due to his injury. Now he couldn't afford to have any more, so he just decided to get himself busy in his work and leave for home as soon as possible to spend more time with his newly wedded wife.
