A Mother...

Prithvi's P.O.V,

Today's a very special day for Kuruvansha.

The Elders who went to take the heirs of late Emperor Pandu had already entered Hastinapur.

Subsequently, it was an event worth celebrating! That's why, the Current Emperor had ordered a feast for the returning princes, to let them experience the joy and allure of Royalty after living so many years in the simple hut!

However, The Empress and her personal attendant, Devi Sughada, had left the castle as soon as the rays of the Sun fell on my body. Under the absence of Maha-Mata, The Empress or any other elder, the servants were a little confused about the arrangements they had to prepare for the young Princes.

Fortunately for them, The Empress had instructed Devi Radha, the wife of Shri Adiratha, to oversee the arrangements by granting her the same status of chief maid, temporarily.

Despite it being her first time doing something like that, Women are really masters in management, surely evident by the work of Devi Radha.

"Hmm, Add some salt to this!"

"No! Don't put sweets there!"

"Sister, Where should I put this container?"

"Put them on the counter at the side."

"Kaka-ji, Please arrange the seats of Kumars beside Mahamahim Bhishma."

...

She skillfully instructed the fellow servants. Even though they were a little tight on schedule, She didn't disrespect anyone for committing mistakes like misplacing the objects or spilling some sweets. Rather than dwelling on futile bickering, She urged them to clean the mess and neatly arrange everything.

While doing her work, She was constantly looking outside, making her a little restless. It appeared like she was worried about something.

And yet, It didn't affect her job as it was a responsibility bestowed by her friend, not the Empress of Hastinapur.

"Sister, It's done!"

"Putri, The seats have been placed!"

"Very well, All of you can rest for a while!"

...

A few moments later, Just before the start of Madhyanha Pahar (i.e. 9:00 A.M), dozens of servants finally finished their work. Which earned them a brief respite from their work.

Everyone of them went back to someplace to rest until the arrival of Maharathi Bhishma and the young Kumars (Princes), leaving only Devi Radha inside the dining room, situated beside the kitchen of this royal palace.

While, four guards attentively guarded the two entrances.

Fuu...

Finally getting some free time after a pretty hectic morning, Devi Radha heaved a sigh of relief before observing the arrangements for a last time...

The dining hall of this palace was rectangular in shape while four pillars supported it due its huge size.

[Note: As for how large? Do you really want to know?]

The Walls were painted in light green colour along with many artworks of trees that appeared to be alive!

On the path from the entrance to the dining area, there was a carpet woven with brown and golden threads, showing many types of strange patterns.

The Food was placed a little away from the dining area and their containers were covered with copper plates.

The sitting arrangements were also made to allow the servants to serve smoothly.

Unlike western countries, Hindus use Palagai/Pata- A small wooden table with finger length legs to sit.

Or, in some households, they sit on a woolen carpet to dine.

Though there is a proper science behind this act, the naïve ones believed that this helps them to remain connected with me. And yet, I liked their act because they intended to connect with me.

Such innocent acts let me forgive them for the destruction they are causing me to a certain extent.

...

Anyways, after confirming that everything was fine, she wanted nothing more than to find the Empress and leave the castle as soon as possible!

'It is already Madhyanha! Karna will be returning soon!'

This thought filled her exhausted self with a newfound vigor as strode towards the exit in a swift motion!

She didn't want her kids to remain hungry!

Her entire being just wants to feed both of them with her hands and enjoy their merry expressions and innocent praises which were much sweeter than the allure of wealth she will get if she stayed here!

As you know... A Mother is a mother....

For her... The whole world is on one side... while her children are on another...

Sadly, She was unaware of the piece of news circulating the the Royal palace about the arrival of a boy with divine luster and his equally mysterious dove!

Nevertheless, Just when she was about to exit the hundred meter long hall...

"Attention!"

One down...

ANOTHER ONE IS COMING SOON!!!
