Chapter 13

Walking out of the building I can see quite the fight going on. It seems like Azazel made it here before me, but I can't tell if he is rooting for his son or the Sekiryuutei. He even gave Sekiryuutei that experimental balance breaker arm brace that we worked together on all those years ago. That brings back memories.

Vali "You've arrived Solomon. I take it you've defeated Katerea?"

Rias "Sol! Can you help Issei!"

Solomon "I can't. This fight is destined to happen. Even if I stop it today it will happen, and this will be a good learning experience for him since I doubt Vali will kill his rival while he is still weak and inexperienced."

Rias "No way…"

Vali "You know me well Solomon. Will you be joining us?"

Solomon "You already defeated Sekiryuutei? As for joining in I think this is a fight for the heavenly dragons today. Maybe I will join in next time. How would you rate Sekiryuutei's strength?"

Vali "Hm… I would rate him as a high-class devil normally and on the edge of ultimate class when angered enough. Overall, he isn't bad for being so new to his power."

Solomon "I see. I take it you will be retreating? We have defeated all of your little gang after all."

Vali "That's right. I will come back soon though. Don't get too lonely, Magic King."

Solomon "I am more worried about you being lonely Hakuryuukou since you have so much trouble making friends."

Vali "I'll see you soon Solomon."

Solomon "I look forward to our next battle, Vali."

I guess I won't be seeing him as often anymore since technically he's part of a terrorist group. Well, I'll see him again at some point.

*Next Day*

After the attack all we did at the peace meeting was sign a paper, pass out my notes on who accepted Ophis's power and headed home. It was pretty boring after the first part, but I also wouldn't want anything to happen after that too since that would be too much.

*Ding Dong!"

Hm? Who would ring the door? I guess people noticed my little lab here in the human world. Only took 10 years. I could have made my lab in the underworld, but I chose the human world as it's where most of the materials I need can be found. Anyway, let's go open the door.

Solomon "Hello?"

Ophis "Help me defeat Baka-Red."

Hm? Why is Ophis here? I don't really think I can help here defeat Great Red either just yet unless I use my noble phantasm of course or my Solomon's Seal. Okay maybe I have a few ways of dealing with him, but he seems pretty harmless right now, so I probably won't.

Solomon "Why don't you come in for now. I'll bring over some refreshments."

I heard from a spoiler that she likes candy and silence but I'm not completely sure. I did manage to make those 100% noise canceling headphones for her though so that should be good. They're a little different from my original design but they work fine so it should be fine.

Solomon "I'm back. I've got a selection of items. Feel free to choose one. You can have tea if you want that too."

Ophis "What's that one?"

Solomon "It's a chocolate bar."

Ophis "And that one?"

Solomon "That's a cookie."

Ophis "Can I have both?"

Solomon "Sure go ahead. They were there to be eaten anyway. Make sure not to eat the wrapping on the chocolate bar. Now why do you think I could help you defeat Great Red?"

Ophis "You're strong. Vali said so."

Solomon "It's true that I'm strong but I'm not strong enough to defeat Great Red."

Ophis "You're not strong?"

Solomon "I'm strong enough to beat almost anyone else."

Ophis "So you're decently strong?"

Solomon "You could say that. Most wouldn't agree though. By the way would you like to be my friend?"

Ophis "Arthur said people asking to be my friend in this form are bad people."

Solomon "That's generally true but in this case, I'm doing it because I have a gift for you."

Ophis "A gift?"

Solomon "Do you know what a gift is?"

Ophis "Hm."

Solomon "That's good. You see I heard you like silence, so I decided to make something to block all sound for you unless you turn them off. Now that I think of it, is that why you want to defeat Great Red? To get your home back?"

Ophis "Hm. I want my silence back."

Solomon "I see. I don't think that would be a happy life though. Why don't you try living with someone close to you with Vali and see if you find it fun? Of course, I'll still give you the noise cancelers for when you want to use them."

Ophis "Then I'll live with you."

Solomon "Hm? Wouldn't it be better to live with Vali? From what I've heard he has a team of sorts that you could get along with."

Ophis "You said you wanted to be friends and friends are close."

Solomon "I guess that's correct. Why don't you ask Vali and then see how it goes?"

Ophis "Hm. I'll be back."

Solomon "Haah~. I feel like this will be troublesome."
