Episode 6

Lotus and Akaze had gone back to their respective dorms so that they could get ready for their date that night. Akaze was getting ready and the look of excitement on his face for his date tonight with the girl he had a crush on since day one. It would make anyone jump with excitement. As he got ready Karma watched him as he did so. "You seem excited?" Karma questioned.

"Yeah i'm going out with Lotus. I finally asked her out" said Akaze.

"Oh cool" said Karma, not really interested.

Lotus on the other hand was already all dressed up and waiting for Akaze at the courtyard. Lotus was already waiting for Akaze. She wore a white button up, a black skirt, and white tennis shoes

Akaze finished getting ready and sighed happily. He walked out the door. "See ya Karma!"

"Finally... this should buy me some time." Karma smirked and took a deep breath. His body split apart and... something started spreading around. It wasn't shadow, it was... something else. Something very wrong...

Akaze realized something. He had bought Lotus flowers and forgot them. He headed back. He walked through the door and gasped. He saw something he shouldn't have.

Karma glared at him, then slowly smirked. His body completely faded away.

Akaze gasped and started running. He didn't realize he was running farther away from people. The hallway surrounding slowly turned black. A piercing black spike stabbed him in the leg and caused him to fall. He screamed but nothing was heard. Akaze fell to the ground

Karma appeared in front of him. "I've been waiting for this... I've wanted to kill your annoying ass for a long time!" He laughed like crazy.

"Why... what... are you?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm going to corrupt this place to the ground!" Karma laughed. "And I don't need any loose ends..." Karma's arm turned into a black spike and stabbed Akaze through the stomach, lifting him up.

Akaze gasped and felt the corruption spreading through him. He coughed up blood and struggled before falling limp, dead.

"Finally... away from that pest..." Karma chuckled and walked off. There was not a single trace he was there.

Akaze never showed up to meet Lotus..

Lotus had waited until 10:30pm for Akaze, but with each minute that passed her doubts only became worse and worse. It was now 11PM, and Lotus was on her way back to the dorm angry as all hell. Upon entering the dorm Carmen could hear Lotus as she entered, actually everybody in the dorms could due to her slamming the door. "Hey Lotus are you okay?" Carmen asked.

"Akaze asked me on a date then didn't show up!" Lotus yelled but was muffled by the pillow she had her face in.

"That dick! Really thought Akaze was a good person…" said Carmen feeling bad for her friend.

"That jerkface!" Lotus yelled again as she started to cry out of frustration.

"Hey..it's okay! We'll talk to him tomorrow. Maybe something came up?" Carmen asked, trying to make the situation better.

"If something came up he would have come by while I was getting ready if something came up" Lotus said angrily.

"That's true…" said Carmen as she sighed then sat up sitting at the edge of her bed.

"I'll just talk to him tomorrow," said Lotus.

"Good idea. You should get some sleep…" said Carmen

"Yeah…" said Lotus as she walked over to her dresser and grabbed her pajamas then went to wash her face and change clothes in the bathroom. Carmen on the other hand changed into something more comfortable. The two girls then brushed their teeth, and turned in for the night hoping they could get their answer for why Akaze stood up to Lotus.

Lotus and Carmen walked to class but the atmosphere felt...off as if something bad had happened the day before. The sky was visibly cloudy, and rain was falling as if the world was crying from the life of a loss. The two girls bumped into the rest of class 2-C, and Raiden noticed Lotus was off this morning. "Uh hey Lotus is everything okay?" Raiden asked.

"Wouldn't you like to know mongrel?" Carmen intervened.

"I was just asking Carmen…" Raiden said.

"If you must know Raiden...Akaze stood her up last night, I don't suppose you have anything to do about that do you?" asked Carmen.

"Huh? Why the hell would I tell Akaze to ditch Lotus when I told him to just ask her" said Raiden.

"What? Really? Seriously? You told Akaze to ask out Lotus?" asked Carmen.

"Well yeah, him and I were hanging out and chatting one day and the discussion of crushes came up and I told him he should shoot his shot with Lotus...I don't understand why he'd stand her up though. Maybe I can ask when he gets to class...though it's usually not like him to be late" said Raiden.

"Right...let's all just get to class." said Riku.

The group walked into class only to see the principal standing there waiting for them while Mrs. Yuki was standing beside him. The young woman looked sad as if something bad had happened. "Did something happen?" Raiden and Riku asked.

"Sit down class" said the Principle.

The class looked at the door to see as if Akaze would magically come through so he wouldn't miss this important announcement. They all slowly took their respective seats and gave each other looks asking one another to guess what could be so important that the principle was here of all places. The Principle cleared his throat then looked to Mrs. Yuki, and then turned back to all of 2-C. "I'll get straight to the point..your classmate Akaze was found dead, this morning." said the Principle.

"Wh-what? F-found dead?...please tell me this is a prank!" Lotus shouted angrily while looking as if she were trying to hold back her tears.

Raiden clenched his fist and tried to keep himself composed, but the anger inside was too much and his body began to produce electrical sparks that flickered. Carmen had a look of shock on her face, but her main concern laid with Lotus. Riku stared at the ground almost as if he were hoping this was all a bad dream. Karma was emotionless, almost as if he didn't care which pissed off Raiden. "Karma aren't you Akaze's roommate?" Raiden asked.

"Oh. Blame the quiet kid huh? He left to go on his date with Akame and never came back. And you're so quick to blame... how do we know YOU didn't do it?" said Karma.

"If I wanted to kill Akaze I would have done it infront of everyone else so they know not to fuck with me" Raiden crossed his arms "besides I was on the dorm roofs late last night" said Raiden as everyone could feel the anger he was releasing.

"Hey that's enough no jumping to conclusions" said Riku coming between the two that were standing face to face.

"Where was the body found?" asked Lotus.

"The body was found on the north side of the dorms" The Principle answered.

Carmen had walked over to Lotus and began rubbing her back, Lotus was unable to hold back her tears anymore and began crying. Last night she was so upset with him and assumed he had just stood her up, but it turns out he was killed.

"So what the hell are we going to do? Just sit around and wait?" Raiden asked.

"Take a break from classes. Mourn your loss. Take all the time you need." The Principle said then walked out of the classroom. He left all of 2-C there to deal with their grief in the differing ways that they all had.
