The Test
The guys were all in lounge chairs sleeping they relaxed a bit, they soon found out that one of the people that invaded the mansion had spider tattoos on them, when they went further into the woods in back of the house they saw that they climb the walls killed the men that were out there. Jason got in contact with the Su brothers that once worked with the gang to get information on them, they would get everything that they had and send it to him the next day, Donnie also got in touch with his friend as well since the gang main head organization was in Hong Kong. By morning the whole family were waiting by Aria's room, when the nurse asked them to go into the conference room so both doctors can explain to them.
"Good Morning I am Dr. Shou the neurologist that will be doing the test, Dr. Chen here explain the operation to me. What I will be doing is her brain test as you can see behind me on the screen, when a brain is active it shows sparks but when a patient is not responding they would show no sparks, becoming a vegetated state. The test will take an hour and I will have the speaker on so you will be able to see, we have hooked up the machine to the screen behind me so you will be able to see" Dr. Shou said
"Since the patient just got out of surgery we don't want many people in the room, her immune system is low right now she can catch something quick so for not that to happen myself and Dr. Shou will be the only two in the room" Dr. Chen said
"And if we don't see the sparks?" Aria' father asked
"We will be taking the test everyday, today is just a run test usually we would wait until the patient is under observation for 24 hours but when Dr. Chen told how the patient didn't have her heart stop during the operation, it most likely we will find faint sparks if that's the case we need to do an estimated on when she will wake up. We will also have a camera hooked up to us so you will see how we are doing the test and explain everything step by step for you" Dr. Shou said
"Okay, if you have any questions during the test just press the green but on the remote that the nurse will be passing to you" Dr. Chen said
They nurses went around the rooms giving them a remote.
"We will go and get ready" Dr. Shou said
After the doctors went out the room was silence, everybody was in their own world as they were thinking when they looked at the screen they saw the doctors getting the gear on, they went towards Aria's room.
"Aria Han, age 21, blood type AB+, gunshot wound to the thorax" Dr. Chen said
"First test, checking the foot. Good response, patient still has motion to lower body." Dr. Shou said
"Patient vitals are good, heartbeat is steady. She is starting to breath on here own, why don't we take the tube out" Dr. Chen said
They took the breathing tube out of Aria.
"Patent is breathing is steady" Dr. Chen said
"Next test, fingers have little movement the upper body is working" Dr. Shou said
"Lets get the equipment ready" Dr. Chen said
They set up the machine, putting the wires on her head.
"Last test" Dr. Shou said
They watched, as there was no sign of the sparks.
"Is there something wrong?" Jason said as he press the remote
"Give it a minute" Dr. Shou said
They watched the screen a few minutes later there was sparks showing.
"Patient has strong brain activity, we will be back in the room" Dr. Shou said
They cut the video feed off, Jason's mother cried with relief as well as the other family members, when the doctors came back into the room a few minutes later.
"We estimate that she will wake in a few days with her brain activity on high, but we will still be doing the test in those days to make sure it keeps going will, she wont wake up soon because the loss of blood she will need lots of rest. And when she wakes up she will be weak for a while as will so she would need bed rest for a least two months, we can move her to a private room after her immune system is back up for now only let myself and Dr. Chen will be checking on her" Dr. Shou said
The family thanked the doctors and they discuss they would be taking turns watching Aria day and night, Jason was the first to go he stayed with her as the rest of the family went home, Jason told his assistant to help the brothers with the investigation on the gang. Back at Jason and Aria's house the twins kept asking for their mother and father. Donnie called Jason and told him that he will explain to them and he agreed to it they were getting older so they wanted answers and they couldn't keep them in the dark for long. When the twins heard what really happened to their mother they painted get will pictures for her and went to the hospital with their great grandpa since he hasn't seen Aria as well.
"Daddy!" they boys yelled
Jason saw the two boys run to him, he gave them a hug his heart hurt when he heard the boys sniffle.
"Is mommy going to be okay?" Jude asked
"Mommy will be fine, she just needs sleep" Jason said
"Can we see mommy?" Julian asked
Jason looked at Julian he can see Aria in him, making him tear up.
"No, the doctor said mommy might get sick only the doctors can go in. We don't want mommy to get sick right?" Jason said
They both nodded their heads.
"We made this for mommy" Jude said
Jason looked at the pictures made by the twins, it was all four of them next to a house.
"I put dogs on their cause mommy likes animals" Julian said
Jason saw his, he as a nurse for tape, so he can hang them on the window facing towards her to look at, by evening Jason's grandfather took the boys home with Jason as Donnie took over, so the boys can spend time with the boys they needed one of the parents with them.
