Chapter 22

Having returned home from massacring the orcs and getting another fiancé, life returned to peace. Training, paperwork, dates, and watching the Browns for a few weeks was the normal but my birthday was coming up and I'll be 19. The girls was acting a little weird but I figured that they were going to hold a surprise birthday party. As much as I wanted to know everything, I know that it wasn't a good thing to find out early about a surprise birthday party. So I let them do what they wanted. And I was surprised when it was my birthday and they invited a lot of people. William, the royal family from both the Evergreen and Marks Kingdoms was at Barnes Manor as well as some of the knights and soldiers from the orc battle. I was really touched when I saw them. I never had this big of a party in my old life. I had another surprise as William and Beth was hitting it off. Away from the pressures of being royals, they relaxed and I hope for the best for my best friend.

A week later, I was walking to check on the streets of Rommol when I saw a crowd that had formed in front of a restaurant. As soon as I got there, I see 3 thugs had cornered a woman in what appeared to be a kimono. Pretty face with long burgundy hair. She's not tall but she isn't short. What drew my attention was the sword she was wielding. I know that sword from watching a show called Deadliest Warrior back when I was in my late twenties in my old life. That sword is a katana. Still, even though these thugs could use a proper beatdown, I don't want them to be killed and this young woman be jailed for it. I step in.

"You 3, what are you doing."

They turn around about to talk shit but see me. Their faces went pale. Time to flex my muscle. I punch a 3 in the jaw hard enough to knock them out. I called for the guards. Meanwhile, I see the woman walk up to me after sheathed her katana.

"Thank you sir." She said with a bow.

"You're welcome. Seeing that you're not from around here, what's your name?"

"Kagura Kazami, and you?"

"Michael Barnes, Duke of Rommol."

"So you're the man that defeated the 3,200 orcs in the Marks Kingdom."

"Guilty as charged. So what brings you to Rommol?"

"I came for you. You maybe the only one that can help my kingdom."

"Let us go to my home and discuss what is going on there."

"Yes, lets."

We head back to Barnes Manor and sit in my office with Liza and Nina standing on each side of me. Nina was helping Liza with the accounting books since she helped out in the same way back in the Marks castle.

"So, what going on?"

"We're having a problem with orcs, ogres, and demons. People have been captured and you know what orcs do to the women. The ogres have been eating the men while the demons slaughter anyone no matter the age, gender, or race."

"That's a serious situation. how long ago?"

"A week ago. I was able to escape thru the castle's teleportation room before the demons took over the castle. I went to the Marks castle to seek help but no one was there when I arrived."

"Yeah, they were here celebrating my birthday a week ago., Sorry."

"Oh, It is my that should be sorry. I didn't realize that last week was your birthday. Happy belated birthday by the way."

"Don't worry about it. So you waited for them to come back right?"

"Yes, once they returned the king told me to seek you out. but I wondered the streets here in Rommol for a few days."

"Wait, wasn't the king of Hearth at the castle?"

"No. He was with the second princess of Marks at the Marks castle."

"Hmm, I really hope he gets with her. And I must apologize for not being there.. Of course I will let him know how he fucked up for not telling me that he was going to go on a week vacation. Nin. can you get Iris in here?" I said with an evil smile.. Iris walks in after a few minutes and kneels down towards me. I whisper in her ear, "Fill your brother's room with chickens." She looks at me with an evil grin with me. Kagura is confused.

"Sorry about that. Just a joke between friends. Now, I want to help so when you're ready. let me know. I'll be taking all my women and my scouts."

"What about soldiers?"

"Don't need them."

"Ok. Why?"

I summon the minigun.

"This is why."

Her eyes go wide.

"This is the gun I used to kill more than half the orcs alone."

"What a huge weapon!"

That's what she said, haha.

"Ok, tonight you can stay here and get some rest. Tomorrow we'll be teleporting to your Kingdom. By the way, what Kingdom?"

"The Jimmu Kingdom."

"You hungry?"

"Yes."

"Well, I don't know much on your Kingdoms dishes but I'm sure that at this point, you'll eat anything.."

"I'm not picky."

"Liza. Nina. Are you hungry too?"

"Yes." both said.

"Lets go eat. Then we'll have a house meeting to discuss what is going to happen tomorrow."

"Ok darling." Liza said.

"Alright, sweetie." Nina added.

With that, we all head to the dining hall.. With everyone gathered in the dining hall. I made an announcement.

"Everyone, this is Kagura Kazami. She is from the Jimmu Kingdom. I just learned that the Jimmu Kingdom needs my help. I will not be going alone. Yuna, Iris, Liza, Kara. Anita, and Nina. You all will be coming with me. As well as Lydia and all the battle maids. Margaret, you will be staying here with Luke.."

I saw Margaret make a pouty face.

'Iris, did you do what I asked you earlier."

Iris had an evil grin on her face.

"Yes Michael my love."

"Let us go into the courtyard and listen."

Meanwhile...

"That was a great vacation. I miss Beth already. I hope to see her again. Wonder if I missed anything while i was away." William said. He just got back from spending a week at the Marks castle to get to know Beth a little better. He's heading to is room. He opens the door and his face goes pale. hundreds of chickens were in his room and when William went to walk in, he accidently kicked one. All eyes were on William, who is slowly backing away. Before he closed the door, a chicken leg sticks out. At this point, William starts to run while yelling something.

"FUCK YOU MICHAEL!"

Back at Barnes Manor...
