Chapter 13

I enjoy waking up with beautiful girls around me. Why you ask? It's the view. But all good things come to an end. Time to prepare for the trip to the Evergreen Kingdom.

I head to the dining hall like usual with my group of 4 girls and get ready to eat breakfast, Scrambled eggs and bacon with toast. Lydia soon joined us in the dining hall. She looks well rested.

"Lydia, right before we teleport to the Evergreen Kingdom, I want you to try to hide your presence so the duke and Kain can't sense you. I got a few things for you to do while we're there."

"Yes Michael."

Ann and Margaret show up. Margaret runs to me.

(Big Brother Michael! Good morning."

"Good morning Margaret. How is my little ball of sunshine?"

"I'm feeling really good. Big brother, are you leaving today?"

"Yes."

"Can I come with you?"

"Sorry Margaret, It's too dangerous. Stay here with Liza and Ann."

"Ok."

"Tell you what. If you be good while I'm away. I'll give you something, OK."

"Yay. You mean it big brother?"

"I'll guarantee it."

Thank you big brother!" Margaret yelled as she runs and hugs me.

Liza looks at me and says, "Someone has you wrapped around her little finger." with a smirk.

"Yeah but I can't help it. I have a soft spot for kids."

"That's not a bad thing darling." Liza replies then kisses me.

"I'm going to miss you while I'm gone."

"Be safe darling. And keep my sisters safe., I'll be here waiting for you."

"after saying our good byes, Lydia, Yuna, Iris and myself headed of to the castle to meet with the 2 knights and to use the teleportation circle. William greeted us when we got inside the castle after a 30 minute walk.

"Ah Michael, I see you're ready for your trip."

"Almost, just need to meet with the 2 knights."

"I see, let me call them here. KEVIN, TROY!"

Two knights came running towards us and stopped in front of William.

(Kevin)"Yes your Majesty?"

(William) "You and Troy will be accompanying Lord Barnes and his party as added security during his trip in the Evergreen Kingdom. Understand?"

(Both knights) "Yes your Majesty."

They both turn to me and was about to kneel when I stopped them.

"Stay standing and shake my hand. I welcome you to the party.."

(Troy) "We know you and the 2 princesses but who is this young lady?"

"Her name is Lydia and she is my personal bodyguard." I told them a half truth. She was coming along to be my spy and to gather evidence to the Duke's crimes and his son's crimes as well.

Now that we have a full party, time to teleport. We head to the teleportation room and I see a magic circle was drawn on the floor. All 6 of us stand in the middle of the magic circle and Iris yelled, "ACTIVATE!" A blinding light flashed and before I knew it we was in another building. I can smell the fresh pine smell. We were in the castle of the Evergreen Kingdom.

An elf with long grey hair and green and white clothes was standing in the doorway. I has a small crown on his head. He must be the King of the Evergreen Kingdom. Before I can introduce myself, Yuna yells out , "FATHER!" and runs to hug him. They embrace as I smile at them.

"Yuna, welcome back. I heard that Kain was going to try to bring you back but someone stopped him. Do you know who?"

"Yes father, it was my boyfriend and future husband."

When he heard the words "boyfriend" and "future husband", I saw his eyes open wide before looking at me, Kevin, and Troy. I coughed.

"I am the new Duke of Rommol, Michael Barnes. Can we sit down somewhere so I can explain the situation?"

"Ah yes, forgive me. Where are my manners. This way." King Evergreen said. We followed the king to a room with a large table and sit down. I explain how I met Yuna and the whole story of the events from me showing to this world up until now. He was smiling from ear to ear.

"Normally, I would refuse you and my daughter's future husband but seeing as you're the hero that is here to take down the Dark Lord and you saved my daughter, I will accept your engagement to my daughter." said the king.

Yuna, upon hearing this, started crying tears of joy as she wanted to hear this. I did a fist pump in my mind. Iris smiled as it seems her plan came together. Lydia, Kevin, and Troy congratulated us.

"Thank you, Your Majesty. This means the world to me and to Yuna."

"You're welcome. This marriage will straighten the bonds between the Hearth and Evergreen Kingdoms for years to come."

As soon as the king was done saying that, I felt the presence of 2 elves that has bad intentions. Here come the trash.
