Chapter 17 The dungeon

I almost forgot last night I met an accident. In the morning, everything happened so fast and magically that the irritation across my head was left unnoticed. But suddenly the pain grew worse. Lee was right, I needed rest.

I went back to the room in the servant quarter. The room was tiny but was so neat. The size didn't bother me since after entering, I jumped onto the bed and tried to relax.

But my mind didn't let me relax at all. I could only rest for a while until the thoughts crammed my head. My mother was taken away from her bedroom today just before I arrived. How come it happened at the right timing? Jacob and Tiffy were away — it could be a reason. But everything felt so weird and messed up.

The people who came to take her were so clever to kill the maids and escape the guards. But still, there was the question. How come they entered the room without any guard chasing them?
