25-Ego.
I did all this for her, one night, I just sold my soul to hell to a demon, I agreed with him to hand over my soul. It was my smart plan, to save myself and Nova, I couldn't take another night, I couldn't take another humiliation, my ego couldn't take it, I might not be the strongest buffiest person around, but I wanted to get out of here. I loved Nova, I always did, we're going to get out of there, we were going to get a house and get married, I had big plans for us, if those plans included me dying, then be it, I know Nova is strong, she'd wait for me. And I'll be back for her, this wouldn't be the end of us, ever since I died, I had to die first, she won't be hurt if I die, she knew I'm doing this for her now.
After death I was reborn, a demon, I belong to a bigger family, to a demon lord now, but that's okay, he didn't give two damn about me, he let me fight, he said I could just get Nova back, when I earned it, I had no idea when I would earn her coming back, but I'm trying my best to do just that. That until I stumbled with her, Nova, my Nova, I fell asleep from how tired I am, but in my mind, even while asleep, I knew I had a big plan. She could stay here with me, I'll try to skip the fights or maybe talk my sponsor into letting me fight less, find another job for him, we'll stay here together.
But I woke up without her, she ran away from me, she kept talking about hell! About Lucifer owning her, that got on my bad side, I was furious she's mine and not his! He doesn't have any right to claim her as his, I had to come back to hell and find her. I had to buy a favor, which cost, demons deals with favors, blood, and sex. I wasn't about to have sex with anyone, blood, and favors were my best bet, and I did, I did get to hell, I went straight toward the castle, I was told that's where Lucifer stays, and so I did, and I had my butt handed to me. Now look at me back to the old me, being used and hurt, having to do the dirty job, but I'm not the old Andy anymore, I fought back, and so that's how I ended up with being Nova's babysitter?
Why is she being treated like a dog! She has a collar on, she has the ears, he even made her sit on a dog bed next to his throne, she's looking at me with a smile, what is she happy about. Maybe now I could take her and run away with her, but would she betray me again, I let him give me this new stupid job, I have to take care of her, to babysit her! That if I don't go to his neck first, he's calling her pet! For god's sake! "Can we go?" Nova asks standing up, I could see a tail! Are those a real thing? "Sure, stay on this floor pet" Lucifer orders her, she nods and runs toward me, giving me a hug, but I don't hug her back, why she's okay with all of this.
She dragged me out of the throne room, I was grateful to get away from Lucifer and his helper, the one who almost handed me my butt for daring to raise my voice in his presence, they all are evil people, not ones I want next to Nova's. We got out finally, I could talk, but she beat me to it, talking in a high pitched voice, the one she uses late at night when the pain gets too much, the one where she acts like she's a child again, one that isn't hurt, but I don't her to be there right now, we have to make a plan and leave.
"Nova we need to leave" I say, trying to find a way out of this stupid castle. "Nu-uh, me want to stay" she answers me, what's the hell is wrong with her. "Don't go all baby on me! We have to leave now!" I say shaking her trying to get some sense into her. "Owiii" she says with tears starting to fall down her face, what's wrong with her. "Nova! Stop it! We need to go!" I say again, trying to pull the ears off her head, those can't be true, but the second I touched them, she screamed "Owi" again and took off running back toward the throne room.
