The Pain

After such unexpected incident at the airport earlier, when Zhao Yi arrived at her apartment the weather almost turned darker. Upon entering she went through to her bathroom for freshening herself before she settled to her bed, while she sitting there she instantly remembered something thus she reached her phone and was about to gave a call to her manager.

Yet before she could pressed her manager phone number, her phone suddenly ringing which is showing the familiar name on it. Zhao Yi did not hesitate and quickly answered the call but once again before she could even speak, that anxious voice could be heard from the other side.

Her manager bit her straightforward. "Zhao Yi, tell me honestly and don't you dare lie to me. Today, you left early because you went to the airport to sent him off, am I right?"

Zhao Yi who was about to tell her about this was suddenly tongue-tied, she felt rather guilty because she broke her promise. She couldn't help but then lowered her voice while said apologize, "Sis Yan, I'm sorry I didn't intend to hide this from you. Actually I was about to call you and tell you about this. Yes I admit I went to sent him off because he would be away for quiet a long time. Sis Yan, I—"

Zhao Yi couldn't say further because she heard the unusual sighed from the other side.

Yan Suyi was her Manager but at the same time she could be her mother who was worried about her safety she also could be her sister who always had her back, sometime being strict but protect her and comfort her if she was stressing about her work.

Just like now she heard Yan Suyi strict tone. "Zhao Yi, I've told you this before had that you to be extra careful once you went to the public. I know you are good in disguise but since you're an actress, many eyes were on you like today news as well. Did you see it already? The conversation was all about you. I didn't mind if this articles wrote something nice about you but instead they hitting on you. Those netizen on the comment area accuse you as a woman who stole someone lovers. You know that a news like this in the industry would be spread more fast especially when it comes to such a good-looking face like you. Now, you've admit that you met him secretly, would you tell me what happen of you and that someone fiance?"

Listening to the long sentence from Yan Suyi, Zhao Yi was truly taken aback she didn't expect this nor she could proceed to the whole situations.

Her mind was in mess. She didn't understand this sudden accuse!

What stolen someone lover?

What someone fiancé?

Zhao Yi stare blankly at her window. Not making any sound until she heard Yan Suyi voice again. "Zhao Yi, are you still there?"

"Mhm I'm here." She response with her weak tone despite she felt a little down.

Hearing this, Yan Suyi sighing as she comforting her. "It's okay if you didn't want to say it now. Just rest and don't thinking too much. I know how to handle this. You know that this Manager won't let you feel down for too long. But before that, I want to know you side story before I release the official statement. I felt like there something fishy about today news. I don't want to say bad thing about that person but I still felt his engagement. . . Well whatever is it. Come to my office tomorrow and we will disccus about this."

Yan Suyi state before hung up. Initially she didn't intend to say it but the news suddenly out right after Zhao Yi went back from sending Zhuang Chengran off. She couldn't help but be sure that his sudden left must be connected with today news.

On the other side, Zhao Yi was feeling her spirits was left her soul when she saw the two photo attached above on the news. Instead of reading about her news that being accuse she was more focus reading about this couple whose she was familiar with.

It only few hours Zhuang Chengran left and right now he was still on the plane.

Zhao Yi only thought Zhuang Chengran probably didn't aware about this news because she assumed his family strictly prevented him from involved in such entertainment industry.

Because in the past, Zhuang Chengran didn't really agree when he heard that she wanted to be an actress but since she loved acting, Zhuang Chengran compromise but then he never asking about her work life after being an actress.

Zhao Yi thought she already know him too well so she also didn't bothered about this because she thought every person had their personal opinion and choice.

So as long as Zhuang Chengran stay true towards her and supported her that was enough.

But right now thinking about his past attitude making her realized she was actually disappointed. In addition with today sudden news, Zhao Yi didn't know why must he lied to her.

Even though she already promise not to doubt him but with this sudden news come out, she didn't know whether she should felt sad or regret with her words towards him earlier.

Zhao Yi took a deep breath and then she let her tired body fall behind her soft bed, staring above her ceiling.

Remembering Zhuang Chengran odd expression when he stood silently before her earlier making Zhao Yi chuckled coldly.

No wonder she feel his actions was weird.

No wonder he blurted that words to not doubt him.

No wonder he suddenly decide to left...

Zhao Yi closed her eyes as she recalled their moments together;

When they was still child, Zhao Yi was pure liked him because she consider him as her brother, as they turned adult she started to realized she wanted to not only be her sister but instead she wanted to get closer and be his other half.

She indeed liked him but didn't know if it was love they always claimed.

Even so she still wanted to confess her feelings but to afraid their relationship as friends would be broke.

Two years experience being an actress Zhao Yi never felt nervous once she met her new co-actor or meeting with those good looking men in the industry because she treat them like her friends but when she first facing these feelings she was actually nervous.

Every time she met Zhuang Chengran she always feel that nervousness but couldn't say it out loud such a feelings.

However, once she heard that he would be went abroad and stay there for 2 years. Zhao Yi was both sad and depressed so with the thought in her mind she decided to confess to him before he leave.

Because she was afraid she couldn't do so once she met him in the future. Yet, Zhao Yi underestimated herself when she stood in front of him that moment, she still can't say those words in ease but instead she was the one being attack by his sudden question which she wanted to ask first.

Zhao Yi at that moment was almost losing her mind yet she told herself to stay calm despite felt joy inside.

Although he never said he loves her but Zhao Yi was not clueless either because she could saw how his actions spoke louder than his words.

That last words 'wait for me' was still playing in her mind until she come back to her house.

But she didn't expect her happy moment was only lasted for few hours. It was immediately broke once she saw his engagement news especially when she recognize who his fiancée was.

Even thought it was already been a long time but Zhao Yi never forget that person face.

She slightly tightened her fist and opened her eyes in jerk while mumbled one name that also the reason who made her lost her family.

"Wu Lin? So it the Wu Family?"

Zhao Yi smirked once she remember this family name.

At first she wanted to wait until Zhuang Chengran himself denied such a news and truthfully confessed to her but such a familiar name making Zhao Yi totally lost interest to hear his explanation.

She already thinking deeply, if those news was only fake there no way they could matchmaking them out of nowhere unless it was really true.

Zhao Yi remember the Wu Family was indeed moved abroad a few years ago. Basically after that incident but she never thought that all these year the Zhuang had been in contact with them because it never crossed in her mind even Zhuang Chengran never spoke about this but now as she realized such a fact and with such evidence Zhao Yi could only blame herself for being too stupid.

'Brother Cheng, why must be that family?' Zhao Yi thought as her eyes reddened.

Actually even if Zhuang Chengran was really engaged, Zhao Yi could only accept this and wasn't broken that much because she aware that his family didn't like her but the fact that his fiancée was from the family that made her family in pain. Zhao Yi couldn't ignore this and felt a 'pang' of pain once she realized they had such a connection.

Though later Zhuang Chengran might be saying otherwise but Zhao Yi wouldn't cared about that anymore.

If it was only a small lies she could probably accept this but when comes to her family matter there's no way she could not feel bothered.

From her window, Zhao Yi could see the rains fall heavily outside. She didn't know what does this mean but surely her heart was in pain.

Not because she would be lost Zhuang Chengran or whatever reason he might had instead she was in pain while recalling her family back then.

Eventually with her red eyes Zhao Yi drifted to slept but in her sleep she was dreaming something which made her smiled happily.
