AimeeLynn
Oh shoot: I’m already at chapter 180-something and I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet! This book is full of whitty, colorful characters. The love is as deep and true as it gets, while the villains seem to be as evil as they come… a real page turner as we see how this star-crossed romance turns out differently than Romeo and Juliet! 🥰
As always Aimee delivers another magnificent story creation. Woven in times of kings and queens with small details that speak true for that era (looking up the words that you don’t know truly teaches you a lot!), beautifully written details - big and small that provides such vivid imagery. A true love that makes our hearts yern, challenges that keep us on edge, triumphs that make us jump with joy and overall, well rounded story. Another masterpiece written for us by the Great Ms. AimeeLynn 👏🏼
I loved this book. AimeeLyn is a fantastic author, the best I’ve found on WebNovel. Etan is so good and Ayleth is a firecracker. I couldn’t put it down! Waiting for updates was so hard, but the author was very timely with them. I got worried when it seemed like the end was coming fast and nothing was resolved, but it was amazing how she put it all together. The ending was lovely and so fun. I’m so glad Ayleth was able to keep Etan on his toes, right to the end. She is never dull.
I know this book was/is one of the author’s favorite stories she wanted to tell, and I find myself rather fortunate that I was able to binge read it in over a week (when I know the diehard fans followed for months). I swear this isn’t to gloat, but to bring attention to how amazing Aimee’s writing captivates everyone who reads her works. You will fall in love with Ayleth and Etan (but I do think Falek and Borsche steal the show). I so wish more discovered this book, because it hooks you from start to finish (and is more on the lighter side of Aimee’s storytelling), for those who know her MO. Thanks for another amazing read, Aimee!
Beautiful love scene. They both realize what the other was put through. Hopefully they both learn from it. She needs to understand his situation, and if she finds herself in the same situation, that she will learn from this, and do better. He won't be the only one to make a mistake. His bodyguard told him before he married her that something like this would happen. That his pride in thinking he had all the answers would lead to this type of situation. Etan didn't take it to heart. Now, he knows what the guy was talking about.
Love love love this book. This is the second book by this author Ive read. There is almost no overlap in character development between either book. Both MLs and FLs are written so honestly and uniquely that i cant get enough of them. Absolutely love the leads in this book. No damsel in distress but rather two equally amazing people drawn to each other.
