Chapter 18 : I care for her

Sitting behind my desk, drowning in so much paperwork I had to go through, I felt weary. I didn’t attend to my work in two days and I had so much to cover as if I had been gone for a year. Since I got to the office, I had been sitting at my desk for hours. I needed to finish up at least half of my work before stepping out to have lunch.
A knock came at my door, diverting my attention from my laptop. “Who is it?” I asked, looking at my PC again.
“It’s me,” Evelyn, my secretary, answered. She opened the door and walked in with a cup in her hand.
As always, she was looking smart in her office wear. Every time I saw her around the company, she was always looking so neat and preserved. Even outside the company, she still had that neat signature. She was a beautiful young lady with special features. She had freckles on her face which made her even more pretty. She also had big eyes that weren't so bad on her.
