Lovely Sinners

Her hands wandered up from my waist to my face, holding it tightly, but gently at the same time. Our eyes locked, staring into each other's souls in the dimly lit motel room. My breath hitched, breaking from the spell, as the feel of her lips brushed against my own. "God, how the hell did we end up here?" She asked me, as a smirk began to form on my lips. I brushed my nose against her's, biting my bottom lip a bit. "I'm not exactly sure, but I'm definitely not complaining." I mumbled to her, as she scoffed and rolled her eyes with a playful smirk. "Yeah well, let's be glad we were able to find a motel away from everyone, or my parents may kill me." She giggled, as her fingers ran through my dark, curly hair. "Well yeah, a lot of Christian families don't exactly agree to homosexuality." I joked, but she quickly shut me up with her lips melting against my own. *** Fayola Abbas, a simple African-American girl starting her senior year of high school. The oil, the buzzing of drills, the cursing; ah yes, this is where I'm meant to be on Saturdays.

I was stationed underneath a 2012 Honda Civic, checking the oil, as I wiped away the sweat, dust, and dirt from my face. As I drained the oil, I heard someone call my name, as I scooted myself out from underneath the car, and looked up.

"Ya got visitors," my boss, Allen, said to me as I groaned. Why do they always have to come and bother me at my happy place?! I nodded and sat up, grabbing my rag and wiping my face and hands a bit, so they weren't as grubby. I stood up and walked over to the waiting room, and saw Amoy waving through the small door window. I waved back and walked in, as I wiped my hands on my jeans a bit.

"Hey! We were calling and texting you all morning to see if you wanted to hang tonight. But obviously you're too busy to answer us." Amoy grumbled, as I saw Jiro and Dasom stood beside her.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Yes, let me just stop everything I'm doing to answer your calls and text while I'm AT WORK." I growled, as Dasom walked over and looked through the small window into the garage.

"Wow, you work here? I didn't know you could fix cars! I'll have to come to you next time so I could possibly get a discount." She joked, as Jiro rolled his eyes and stuffed his hands into his pockets.

"Yeah, sadly she can't give out discounts cause she's still an apprentice here." He mumbled, as I walked over and wiped my hands on his face, as car grease was coated on his cheeks now. He yelped and groaned in annoyance, as he took my cloth from my back pocket and tried to wipe his face.

"Very funny." He mumbled, as I chuckled at his attempts to get the grease off.

"I'll be around later tonight, what did you have planned?" I asked as I turned away from Jiro to look at Amoy. The girl began to grow a large cheshire-like grin on her face, then stuffed her hands into her jean pockets. I could feel the color drain from my face a bit, and quickly shook her head.

"Hell no, Amoy! I'm not doing that shit again! Last time I almost threw up!" I argued, as her and Jiro chuckled a bit. I could see Dasom's confused face from the corner of my eye, as she raised a brow.

"What are you guys secretly talking about?" She asked and I quickly turned to her. I quickly got down on my knees and folded my hands in front of Dasom.

"Please! Just disagree with this and we can do what you wanna do tonight!" I pleaded with the best puppy dog face I could give, as she raised a perfectly plucked brow.

"I dunno, I'm also kinda curious on what this is...So, I'm going to agree." Dasom hummed with a smile, as I face planted onto the concrete floor and groaned. I could hear my two best friends cheering a bit in the background as I sulked on the floor.

This is gonna be a shit show....

I groaned as we stood in front of the roller rink; the eternal hell I'm dragged too. Jiro dragged me in, as Amoy and Dasom chatted on the way up to the counter Dasom was excited to go and roller skate with the three of us, I could tell by the wide grin and excitement that sparkles in her eyes. The two girls got their skates, as Jiro got mine for me, as I sulked on one of the benched by the rink.

"Stop looking so miserable, you'll have fun." Jiro mumbled to me, as he sat down beside me and gave me my skates. I groaned and took them, as I put them on as colorful words rolled off my tongue silently. I watched as everyone headed onto the rink, as they skated around perfectly. I hesitated and watched them for a bit, before Amoy and Dasom came off the rink to grab me.

"C'mon, you sour puss! We'll do twirls again!" She chuckled, as I tried to fight them as they pulled me to stand up. But, once I was up on my feet I began to feel myself loss my balance, as my feet began to move in the opposite directions, as they two grabbed me quickly.

"Fayola, do you not know how to skate?" Dasom asked, as I heard Amoy laugh at her question.

"This girl is like a new born fawn when it tries to walk! This is why I love to take her here! Torturing her for torturing me and also for the cute boys." Amoy squealed, as she pulled me out onto the rink. Jiro stood there waiting with a smirk as he began to snicker a bit.

"Fuck off! You guys are horrible!" I shouted and grabbed the wall quickly beside me. Everyone began to burst out into laughter when they saw me begin to go down into a split, because I couldn't keep myself upright.

"H-here let me help you." Dasom said through her laugher, as she helped me stand up straight. She quickly grabbed my hand and began to skate slowly beside me, as I continued to hold onto the wall with my other hand.

"Look, it's goes; 1-2, 1-2," she began to show me, as I followed and watched her movements carefully. After about another 15 minutes of this I kinda got the hang of it, as I stuck my tongue out at Amoy.

"Ha! I got it now, bitch!" I yelled over to her, as Amoy smirked and skated over to me. She quickly grabbed both of my hands and smiled.

"Great! Now let's spinnnn!~" She laughed, as she began to spin us around. I began to yell at her to stop, as my stomach began to churn and bubble up my throat. I quickly let go of one of her hands to cover my mouth, as this was my biggest mistake, and caused me to let go of both of her hands. I spun around a bit, lost my balance, and fell straight onto my stomach.

I groaned lowly from the pain, as my stomach began to feel a bit better from the world going back to normal. I lied there for a bit, until I felt two hands grab underneath my armpits.

"I swear, Amoy, one day you're gonna cause this girl to throw up all over you, and I can't wait to see it." Jiro said from above me, as he helped me stand back up. He led me to a wall, as this allowed me to hold myself up and make sure I didn't feel like throwing up again.

"Are you alright? You really took a tumble." Dasom asked beside me with concern, as I gave her a thumbs up, unable to use my voice at the moment. The three of them left me alone for a bit, as I felt myself going back to normal. Jiro commented on my face looking less green, as he came around the rink for a third time. I turned around to see what everyone else was up to, as Amoy talked to some boys, and Dasom still skated around happily.

We continued to skate for another hour or two, as Amoy picked up a few phone numbers, Dasom helped me skate again, and Jiro teased me like a dickhead he was. Once we were off the rink and handed over our skates, my stomach began to rumble.

"Man, I'm kinda hungry. Wanna grab some Chinese from down the street?" I asked, as the others nodded and followed me out of the building.

We got to the small Chinese shop, as we sat down and began to chat a bit, Dasom sitting on the same side as me in the booth. We continued to talk as our food came, stole a bite of each other's meals, as the laughter from the night continued on.

But, my favorite part of the night had to be when Dasom leaned her head against my shoulder after she finished eating. I could feel my face warm up, but I pretended the affection wasn't getting to me, as I continued to chat and laugh with Jiro and Amoy.

Do I like roller skating? No. But, would I do it again just so at the end of it all Dasom can cuddle up against me?

Absolutely.
