Chapter 31: Junior High Graduation

In Chang Yue School Class 3-3, the students were signing each others' yearbooks and chatting happily. In the past 3 years, Su Ning had made a lot of friends at school so she was a little saddened that she will no longer be seeing the same faces when she starts senior high in a few months. She made sure to also bid goodbye to head teacher Song and thank him for introducing her to a tutoring job. Then as a graduation present, she handed each of her classmates a pen and a small box of chocolates that she purchased with Mother Qin using her allowance money. She was truly thankful to have made so many close friends and acquaintances in this life. Honestly, her past life was too lonely and tiring but now she feels she had a lot to live for.

Li Youqing and Lin Miao who will be attending Kunshan School in A City are still quite tearful despite only being a 25 minute bus ride away from M Academy. Li Youqing decided that she would like to study medicine in university and Kunshan has a good science department for a public institution. On the other hand, Lin Miao will be going to an art school after senior high to pursue her dream of being a mangaka. She is currently working on a comic based on their everyday life which she is planning to publish online. 'I am glad that QingQing and MiaoMiao are doing well and following their dreams.' thought Su Ning.

It was about time for Gu YuChen to pick her up so Su Ning said her farewells to her classmates and began walking down the corridor when she met Qin Rong.

"Oh, Qin Rong Classmate, You haven't left yet. We don't need to say goodbyes. Huh." Su Ning smiled.

"Uhm. Su Ning, Let's get along in the future as well." Qin Rong shyly answers.

"Mm. I'll see you at M Academy. Have a nice break!"

As soon as she exited the school, Su Ning recognized a familiar black Bentley. "Yoh! I feel so special. Having Young Master Gu pick me up from school." grinned Su Ning as she climbed into the passenger seat. Gu YuChen reached over to pat Su Nings head before responding with his signature impassive look, "Don't be silly and fasten your seat belt." "Alright. Alright." Su Ning pouted. The two were on their way back to Grandma Gu's estate to have dinner with Old Madam Gu who has just returned from her trip. It was a 40 minute drive in traffic and Su Ning who had gotten bored of playing with her phone began to bug the quiet Gu YuChen.

Truthfully, Su Ning initially felt awkward calling Gu YuChen and Lin JinYan gege since they are technically both younger than her who had lived up to 29 years old in her past life. However, after spending 3 years as Su Ning, she had grown more accustomed to acting like her 'physical age'. She wasn't able to have these kinds of relationships with friends in her past life. The only older people she was acquainted with were her co-workers and she couldnt be calling them gege. Su Ning also found that she quite liked teasing the usually quiet and blank faced Gu YuChen. 'It's fun to see what expressions he will make.' thought Su Ning. Now she would naturally alternate between calling them by their names and gege. Her two buddies seem to like it as well.

"YuChen-Gege, I heard you are pretty popular in school. You get confessed to everyday. How come you never brought any girls home to meet Grandma Gu? Her words must have startled Gu YuChen who suddenly stepped on the breaks.

"Ahhh! Gu YuChen! Wait! Green light! We are at a green light!" 'Why is he so surprised? Isn't it normal for a 17 year old to date?' wondered Su Ning.

Meanwhile, Gu YuChen had regained his bearings and began to drive normally again. After a few minutes, he finally uttered in a hoarse voice, "You...where did you hear that?"
