Chapter 32: I Do Not Like Men!

Su Ning stared at Gu YuChen innocently and asked, "Ah?! Hear what?"

"Hear about the confessions." Gu YuChen quietly answered.

"Ahhh! Jun-Gege told me. I spoke to him on the phone before when I called your office and he answered. He is a funny person." Su Ning chuckled as she recalled their conversation.

"Jun-Gege?" Gu YuChen asked.

"Yeah." Su Ning nodded.

"He got you to call him Jun-Gege?" Gu YuChen prodded.

'Ah, why is facial paralysis so focused on the title "gege"? It's not as if it's some sort of award to be called gege.' thought Su Ning puzzled.

"Well yeah. Jun-Gege is a lot older than me so it's only polite to call him gege. I think he mentioned he was 27 years old during the call." Su Ning explained.

"..." Gu YuChen remained silent for a few moments causing Su Ning to stare at him curiously.

"Don't believe that old man, he has a bad habit of making up stories. I don't get many confessions." Gu YuChen finally said. 'It seems like my colleague has too much time in his hands, he should handle the game launch by himself this time around.' Gu YuChen coldly decided.

"Ah..but Lin JinYan also said you are very famous in school. Your locker is always filled with letters from both boys and girls." Su Ning countered.

'And to call Ouyang Jun an old man is a bit harsh. He is only 27 years old, I was even older than him in my past life. Sigh this kid needs to be nicer to his colleagues.' she thought internally.

"..." Gu YuChen was silent for a few more minutes.

Su Ning thought that he appeared to be deliberating about a difficult topic in his heart so she tentatively asked,"Uhh, Yu Chen-Gege Could it be that... You are gay?" She caught wind of Gu YuChen's widened eyes which she took as a sign of acknowledgement, so she continued,

"Though I feel this news may be distressing for a lot of girls in A City, I don't care if you like men or women. I accept you, whatever sexual orientation you are!"

Su Ning had done her little speech with much conviction and was feeling rather proud of herself; however, contrary to her expectations there were no 'words of admissions' or 'sighs of relief' but only silence on the driver's side. Starting to feel uneasy, she began to turn around to take a peek at the boy on the driver side only to feel a light tap on her forehead. She had just gotten smacked by Gu YuChen, it was very light but...it had happened. 'Uh oh, facial paralysis might be really mad.'

"I DO NOT LIKE MEN." Gu YuChen said slowly through gritted teeth.

To which Su Ning could only utter out a soft "Ohhh.." in response.

"Uhmm so about the girls' confessions?" Su Ning was genuinely curious why such an outstanding guy like Gu YuChen (despite his facial paralysis) doesn't have a girlfriend. 'Usually boys are very active at dating at his age right?' Su Ning wondered.

"I already have someone I like." Gu YuChen responded staring intently at Su Ning.

"Oh…"

'Somehow Gu YuChen seems unnaturally serious.' she thought.
