Chapter 13: Kristy's Secret
The next day Anna and Carlos woke up exhausted with a sore bodies.
They woke up at the same time as well, it took them a while to realize what happened between them
- Oh... god! What the hell happened last night? (ANNA)
- We slept together, my lady. Don't tell me that you forgot such an intense night? (CARLOS)
- We... slept... together? (ANNA)
Carlos was nodding happily and proudly
- Why? (ANNA)
- HUH? This is the first time a woman asked me a question like that. (CARLOS - STUNNED)
Anna didn't respond to him for a while since it was lost in her thoughts.
- " Was she recalling the events of last night?" (CARLOS)
- Oh well... it was a good stress release. No need to make it a big deal, since it was a one-time thing, right? (ANNA)
- Eh? (CARLOS)
- It looks like the only reason we have slept together was because of Mr. Black's 'special' wine, am I right? (ANNA)
It was a big blow to Carlos's pride, ego, and dignity.
But she had also a good point, would they have slept together if it wasn't for Mr. Black's 'special' wine? No one knows.
But soon he composes himself and replied to Anna.
- Don't worry, my lady. I understand, it must be... a really awkward situation right now, for both of us actually. I swear our partnership won't be affected. This is what must be worrying you, my lady, am I right? (CARLOS)
- I'm really sorry. I didn't mean... but... the most important thing in my life right now is to find Ivan. (ANNA)
- I understand my lady. Let's pretend that never happened. (CARLOS - SMILE)
- Thank you, Carlos. (ANNA)
Anna immediately left the room. Carlos understood why Anna reacted this way, it was very important for her to find Ivan, she didn't need distractions.
Carlos also realized that Anna hadn't been with a man for a long time, that is why she called him 'stress release.'
- "Last night she really enjoyed it. She was so passionate, wild, experienced, and confident... she was free." (CARLOS)
Carlos took a shower, put on his clothes, and went underground to release his frustration.

Carlos was feeling very strange at this moment. This was the first time a woman just brushed it off about them sleeping together like it was not a big deal.
Most of the women were trying a bunch of tricks to get his attention, sleep with him, and later on find a way to marry them.
He met a lot of women, different kinds of women with different personalities, like the sexy, confident, cold, and distant women, even the cute girl next door type.
These women were boring and predictable for Carlos, the reason was that they were 'playing hard to get' they were not 'hard to get.'
Yes, there is a difference, a HUGE difference.
'Playing hard to get': is the person who also is interesting in you but doesn't want to admit it or wants to make you more hooked on them. But they don't fool anyone, except themselves.
'Be hard to get' : are the people who can't 'get' them easily. Also known as the 'intelligent' people who also struggle with love. (Like Anna and Carlos!)
Reasons why Intelligent people struggle with love
1) They overthink everything
2) They are comfortable being independent.
3) They trust their minds more than their hearts.
4) They are more suspicious. (May work in their favor, sometimes)
5) They prioritize their goals in life.
6) Beauty doesn't come first. (Don't care about their partner's appearances.)
7) They have high standards.
8) They can be guarded. ( They don't open up, and trust issues.)
9) They're intimidating.
10) They don't like restrictions.
11) They are bold.
12) They cannot afford o lose.
13) Partners can't keep up.
14) They can get bored of their partner.
15) They are single by choice.
Every person is different, not only by appearances, but by their unique personality, opinion, and preferences. That's the true beauty of the world.

When Carlos finished went to the changing room to take another shower, but this was a very long cold shower. When he got out and went to change, he saw Tom and Henry in the changing rooms too.
- Ah! Carlos, there you are. We were looking for you everywhere. (TOM)
- Why? Did something happen? (CARLOS)
- No, we thought that you will still be sleeping. (HENRY)
- Last night we also took the chance to look for the 'Rat in the gang', we are close to finding his identity. (TOM)
- Good! That's good! Keep up the good work. (CARLOS)
Carlos turned to get his clothes.
- OMG BOSS! What the hell happened to your back? (HENRY)

Tom walked forward to Henry's side to see what he was looking at.

Carlos and Henry were stunned by Tom's way of thinking. Henry knew that wouldn't end up well for them.

- You idiot! We are dead meat. (HENRY - WHISPER)

Anna was in her room, checking the reports of her people who were waiting for her response.
At some point, Kristy knocked on the door and entered the room. After she got closer to Anna, she responded.
- You had sex! (KRISTY)
- How the hell can you tell? (ANNA)
- Your whole face glows, so it was a good one. It was about time, girl. (KRISTY)
- You have to thank Mr. Black's 'special' wine for that. But, indeed, it was good stress released. I really needed it. (ANNA)
All of us have a 'guilty' pleasure that make us feel better, some have food, alcohol, cigarettes, and stuff like that. For Anna, it was sex.
There was nothing wrong with that, she was a young single, beautiful woman with needs and hormones.
- Well, it looks like Carlos has the right criteria to satisfy you. (KRISTY)
- You heard us, didn't you? (ANNA)
- It's not like you two tried to be discreet about it. And since both of you have crazy stamina, you kept going for the whole night. Probably everyone knows about it but they are afraid about their lives to comment about it. (KRISTY)
- Good, they should mind their own business after all. (ANNA)

- Anna, what do you think about Carlos? What are... your feelings for him? (KRISTY)
- I barely know the guy. But so far he gained my respect. He is a good leader who really cares about his men, he is intelligent and confident. Surprisingly we can have a decent conversation even if we don't have much in common or when we don't have the same opinion. (ANNA)
- "That's right! Anna needs more spiritual and mental satisfaction than physical. If she can't have a conversation with her partner, then I'm afraid that it won't matter even if the guy is the most attractive man on the planet." (KRISTY)
- Surprisingly? What do you mean by that? (KRISTY)
- At first, I thought that he was the classic narcissist, possessive, dominant with an inferiority complex and insecurity issues because he was acting like a Diva. He cared a lot about his appearance and his image, it was later that I realized that he was doing it on purpose in order to make his opponent look down on him and make the mistake to try to take him down, but they just fell into his provocation in order to strike back much worse with the excuse in self-defense.
