Chapter 12: Diamonds Heart!

*Present*

After a week of talking about the next move and how to find Ivan, Quinn called them all into the living room because she found something.

- Mr. Yamamoto just got a phone call. Listen up. (QUINN)

*Audio Sound*

- Haruki, it's me!

- Sensei!

- Our friend Mr. Bruno Black needs financial support again. You know what to do.

A long pause.

-Y-Y-Yes, sir!... *COUGH*... Goodbye ... Sensei

*End Of Audio Sound*

No one reacted or commented for 5 long minutes.

- Bruno Black? The jewelry designer? How do even these two know each other? (ALYSSA)

- What the hell was that? (RON)

- I know, right? He sounded like ... he was never going to see him again. (HENRY)

- It's obvious that they have a deep bond. (ISSAC)

- In Japan, they call someone Sensei when that person is a doctor or a teacher, I doubt Ivan knows about medicine, so, he may... was his teacher? (ALYSSA)

- Unfortunately, I haven't found anything about his connection and background, that guy knows how to hide, and since we don't have Ivan's last name is even harder to find him directly. (QUINN)

- Great! That means they got prepared long before. (ANNA)

- He finally gave us a new name to hunt now, Bruno Black. (CARLOS)

- I know! Ron and Kristy help me out, it will be faster with 2 more hackers. (QUINN)

All three of them started to look for information about Bruno Black.

Everyone had realized that Ivan was giving them clues on purpose, but for what reason?

The only way they could know was to play his own game.

First, he chose them to make them the 'Top 5'.

Why?

The 'Viking Gang' was already at the TOP even before Ivan announce it to the whole world. Back then, they weren't working together, but now they do because he made them the target of the whole world to challenge them, but also the scapegoat for other criminal's crimes.

Was this a coincidence? Why did he choose them, or how did he choose them? There are always a lot of questions with that guy, but, no answers.

- OMG! (QUINN - SCREAM)

Quinn's sudden scream brought everyone back to reality since they were lost in their own thoughts.

- For god's sake, you almost gave me a heart attack. Are you trying to kill me, girl? (ALYSSA)

- Guys! I made a big discovery, listen up. Bruno Black is a famous businessman in the gem industry married to Vivian Miller, a famous jewelry designer and they were working together. The company's name is 'Diamonds Heart.' But ... Apparently, the real designer of 'Diamonds Heart' is Brooke Black their daughter who was also interesting in jewelry design and started drawing when she was only 15 years old... Back then the company was almost bankrupt but Brooke's designs saved the company. However, it would be humiliated for her parents to say that their daughter was better than them and she saved their company, so Bruno asked his good friend Ivan to imprison her while they took her designs for their own. Brooke was imprisoned for 5 years but they knew that at some point they would need new designs, so to make her keep working for them, they would marry her off to one of their business partners to keep her under their control without caring about her preference or willingness.

But unexpectedly she managed to escape before her wedding with the help of her girlfriend... that happened ... 5 years ago ... and her parents they're still looking for her... until today. (QUINN)

- Kris, found her location and sent some people to get her here safe. (ANNA)

- What the hell? I thought she was imprisoned since she was 15, so how and when did she meet her girlfriend? (HENRY)

- And how did she just escape? No one escapes from Ivan. Especially without proper training. (KRISTY)

- She also escaped 5 years ago. That was when Ivan announced us as 'TOP 5' to the world. (ANNA)

- So, you mean he did it on purpose? Why? When someone escapes their capture would go chase after them, not announce about 'TOP 5' dangerous ... criminals. Wait! (RON)

- Unless ... he let her escape ... on purpose? In order to make you that... you were behind it? (TOM)

- In your report, you said that Ivan and Bruno are 'friends', so maybe Ivan didn't want to look like he betrayed his friend. (CARLOS)

- No offense, but I doubt that he did all of this just because he wanted to look like he is a good buddy. (KRISTY)

- Unless... Bruno also knows something about Ivan, that Ivan doesn't want to be revealed, since they are friends it will not be surprising that Bruno knows something about Ivan. (ISSAC)

- It's still hard to believe that Ivan actually has friends. (ALYSSA)

- Oh well, we can easily find out about that. (CARLOS)

Everyone turned to look at Carlos

- What? How? ( ALL OF THEM)

- They're organizing a Christmas event with the name 'Diamonds are forever!' In their own house in a couple of days, and of course, I have an invitation. Too bad I don't have a date. (CARLOS)

- OMG! Boss, he was the one who was trying to get an appointment with you to invest in his business. (TOM)

- Ah, yeah! The desperate one ... it looks like the business doesn't go well without Brooke. (HENRY)

- Geez, how the hell did he manage to fool us all? I thought he was just unlucky. But apparently, he just sucks at business. (TOM)

- Ok ladies, save the chit-chat for later. Get ready, we have a scum to expose for his crime. Carlos, I would come with you to the event. (ANNA)

- Oh my! Our first date will be a Christmas date, how romantic! (CARLOS - TEASE WITH A SMILE)

- We have work to do people, so get ready, we have only a few days until the event. (ANNA -ROLLS- HER EYES)

- That doesn't mean we can't enjoy it, my lady. When was the last time you relaxed and had fun? (CARLOS)

*The Day Of The Event*

Anna was wearing a Gala Red Low Cut Dress Cotton Red Rose with Holiday Strapped, and Leather Red heels. For accessories, a Cylindrical Clasp Beaded Gems Red Plum Rose purse, Diamond Cluster Earcuff Earring Ruby, Leaf Collar Chain, and Pendant Metal Red Ruby, and her hair was into a Fishtail Braid.

Carlos was in an expensive black Tuxedo suit that made him look like an elegant nobleman.

- Finally, you are ready Diva! I still can't believe that you need an hour for your hair! And your hair is short, how long it will take you if you have long hair? (ANNA)

- Beauty needs time, my lady. Ha! Now that you mention it, I would look good with long hair, maybe I should- (CARLOS)

- I will chase after you, with scissors (ANNA)

- Oh my! Look at the time, we will be late, my lady! (CARLOS)

When they arrived at the event in their mansion one thing was so obvious that they couldn't hide.

That they were so desperate for investment but to cover it up by exaggerating everything, from the decorations, food, waiters, and even their clothes.

- They can't fool anyone, it was a common secret that Mr. Black's business doesn't do well in the last few years. (CARLOS - WHISPER)

- I wonder why, I really, wonder why? Maybe because an incapable person can't pretend to be a capable one. (ANNA - WHISPER - SARCASTIC)

- Oh! Here they come, the devils! (CARLOS - WHISPER)

- Xmm ... not for long! (ANNA - WHISPER)

The moment the Black couple spots them they immediately came and started to suck up to them. It was really annoying and tiring, but they had no other choice but to play along.

- Ah! Mr. and Mrs. Jones, I'm so glad that you accepted my invitation. (BRUNO)

- Mrs. Jones you're a gorgeous woman. (VIVIAN)

- Oh, thanks a lot, Mrs. Black. (ANNA)

- Oh yeah! I heard about a rare diamond, and I thought It would be an excellent gift for my dear wife. (CARLOS)

- I'm impressed, Mr. Jones. (BRUNO)

- I have a lot of powerful connections Mr. Black. (CARLOS - SMILE)

- Do you mean the 'diamond heart'? I heard about a rare diamond that disappeared years ago? (ANNA)

- That's right! (CARLOS)

- Mr. Jones, we are really honored that you want to buy a diamond from us, why don't we- (BRUNO)

- You can actually have it for free. (VIVIAN)

- *COUGH* VI- *COUGH* VIVIAN! What are you- (BRUNO)

- Oh my ... excuse us for a moment. (VIVIAN)

Mrs. Black dragged her husband to talk to him in private and started whispering to him that Mr. Jones is very rich and powerful with a lot of connections.

So, if they give him free jewelry they will get into his good side since the jewelry is for his wife. Mr. Black didn't like the idea but his wife might be right about this one.

No wonder they are close to bankruptcy.

After two hours of torturing, it was time for their performances.

Anna pretended to be too tipsy from the alcohol and Carlos asked for a room to have a rest, and of course, they accepted immediately.

Without knowing that they just seal their own doom.

The moment they went upstairs to the room the rest was easy.

The idiots actually gave them the room close to his office. Carlos entered his office and bugged the place, his job was done in less than 5 minutes unnoticed, and returned to the guest room.

After half an hour they gave an excuse to leave and Mr. Black gave them a 'special' wine as a gift too.

Anna and Carlos thought that it was just a bribe wine and Mr. Black tried to make it look like it was a Christmas special gift or something.

They've never thought that this wine indeed had something 'special' for couples, so they ended up drinking the whole wine when they got home to celebrate their victory.

But, soon after their victory became a very steamy and passionate one.

Luckily they didn't have an audience since most of the people in the house went out to also celebrate their victory and enjoy Christmas as well.
