"Morning mom," As she slumped down at the dining table. Even though she slept very late the other night, she used to wake up early in the morning.
"Come on, sit down and have breakfast, what time did you get home last night with your friends?" Her mother asked Aaliyah while arranging breakfast on the table.
"Its twelve o'clock mom, Where’s Kevin?" Aaliyah asked while looking around.
"Maybe He is at the back of the house, your brother’s routine every morning is to exercise using the improvised barbells" Her mother replied
"Let's eat, don’t mind your brother and we cannot bother him" She reached for the glass of milk at the same time and held to her daughter.
"What's your plan?" Her mother asked her while eating
Aaliyah knew what her mother meant.
"Kristel and I will file an application on Monday for our TOR at school, so that we can apply for a job right away" Aaliyah replied to her mother in between eating.
"I'm sorry child, you know that I don't earn much from being a maid to Mr and Mrs Hechanova.
Mr. and Mrs. Hechanova referred By her mother was one of the wealthy families in their area. Her mother works as housemaid. It's time for her to retire and rest their Beloved mother. In addition, her mother is old; it will be a bit difficult for her to move around already.
"Mom, don't worry, Kristel and I can find a job right away" Aaliyah approached her mother and hugged her; she saw that her mother's tears were rolling down the cheeks as she hugged her.
"That's why we're going to file an application for our school credentials on Monday. Beside Kevin is already in college, I know that taking chemical engineering course requires a lot of money." Aaliyah added as she hugged her mother.
"What kind of drama is that?" Kevin suddenly appeared from the backdoor of the kitchen with amused facial expression.
"Stop your nonsense, come, join us to eat" Kristel slipped out of her mother's embrace and returned to the chair to continue eating.
Kevin pulled up a chair in front of Aaliyah to eat with his eldest sister and mother.
"Are you leaving today? Joshua asked while sipping coffee.
"No, why? I'm just here at home. Since Saturday I will help mom with the house chores. Today and tomorrow will be our mother’s rest to Mr and Mrs Hechanova, I'm leaving for school on Monday.” By Look at his brother, more or less she already knew what he will say next.
"Big sister, Joshua invited me for basketball, we're going to the other barangay, we'll be there for a while" Kevin excitedly shared his plan to his sister.

Aaliyah drank some water first and then answered her brother.
"Be sure it’s just a basketball, huh? Kevin, I’m warning you," Aaliyah warned him though she knew her brother wasn't vicious and she knew he was a good boy even Joshua was always with him.
Kevin laughed loudly. I am a good boy my dear sister, and besides brother Joshua was with me, he laughed again.
"Good, I’m just kidding, I know you're a good boy ..
"I know that, hahaha"
"Really?" And Aaliyah threw a banana peeling to Kevin
"Ouch,” Kevin pretended to be hurt. “You’re bad Kevin’s face was hit by the banana peeling.
Aling Julie was just smiling as she looks at her two children who are acting like a child
"Oh that's enough,! Their mother interrupted the siblings.” Kevin's before you leave, wash the dishes before you leave with Joshua. I'll just rest in the bedroom"
Kevin laughed out loud. “I'm still washing badly? I have a master’s degree in washing dishes"
"So" ? Aaliyah sneered while chasing their mother away from the dining table.
"Bleeeeh! Aaliyah quickly followed her mother, because I'm sure if she stays for a few more seconds, her brother will make a way so that he can't wash the dishes, what will happen is that she will be the one to wash instead.
"Sister! Kevin shouted at his sibling.
"It's up to you, ahahaha you wash the dishes first," Aaliyah chased and quickly entered the house.
Kevin was just shaking, he had no choice but to do it, because otherwise he would probably be grounded, and he might not be able to get out of the house for a few more days.
After washing the dishes, Kevin quickly prepared to leave; they agreed that Joshua will wait at the intersection few blocks away from their house.
"Oh Kevin it’s just basketball huh son? No trouble, I know you, Kevin, you're hot -headed," the mother reminded when she saw that her son was leaving to meet Joshua.
"Yes mom don’t worry, I'm leaving now,brother Joshua is already waiting at the intersection, before noon I'll go home " Kevin replied and finally left the house.
Before finally leaving the house, he passed Aaliyah who was watching TV while lying on the sofa. He pulled his sister's hair slightly and he turned around.
Aaliyah didn't expect Kevin would do that
"Quits", Kevin said and ran away while laughing
"Ouch!" get ready when you come back ", she shouted
"Are you staying the whole day at home?" While her mother seated opposite on the sofa.
"Yes mom, Pamela texted me inviting forswimming with the whole family, but I refused, I just want to rest until tomorrow because on Monday I will go to the campus with Racquel.” Aaliyah replied to her mother.
"Where do you plan to apply for work with Kristel?" She asked again.
"Kristel and I plan to submit my resume to Bellarocca Hotel and Resort, I need to get experience here before applying abroad"
"Are you going abroad?" There was a sadness to her mother’s voice
"I still need to get experience first mom, it's easy to be accepted in hotels abroad when you have experience in a Five star Hotel" Aaliyah consoled her mother
"But child, can you be accepted in Bellarocca? I heard it's very difficult to get in there and you need a backer" the mother's voice worried.
"There's nothing wrong of trying, Beshy Kristel and I will try"
"I'm sure both of you will be hired, you are smart and beautiful" Mother Julie confidently responded to her daughter

"You are really beautiful, how many times that you won from a beauty contest in your school and there was a time that you were scouted by a talent agent but you refused” Her mother added.
” I really dreamed of becoming a famous hotelier and managing a hotel someday mom" Aaliyah sighed and looked at her mother.
"I believe in you child, but I hope no matter what you obtained, don't change, remain low profile and live with dignity" Aling Julie preached to her daughter. "And don't leave your brother" she added.
"Oh mom,of course, He is only sibling I have, love my brother dearly” Alliyah became emotional
"Oh I am relieved as your mother, By the way let me prepare our lunch first"
"Let me help you mom" Aaliyah stood up and walked with mother towards the kitchen.
Its twelve o'clock in the afternoon when the two young men arrived from the basketball court from the other barangay. Aaliyah is watching TV in the living room when the two young men arrived.
"Mate I thought you went swimming with Pamela?" Joshua asked Aaliyah while wiping the sweat while Kevin went straight to the kitchen to drink cold water.
"I won’t Josh, I'd rather rest until tomorrow then Monday Kristel and I are going to school, when are you going to fix your school credentials?" she asked while looking at Joshua who was already sitting in the adjacent chair while still wiping his sweat.
"Maybe Monday too, see you both in the school, morning right?
"Yup, After breakfast, you're used to be always being late for agreed time" Aaliyah nagged Joshua
"It’s a deal, on Monday morning, Lets meet in front of the school registrar. Where do you plan to apply for Kristel? Joshua asked his friend.
"We'll try to submit a resume with Kristel at Bellarocca" Kristel replied while watching noontime show on TV.
"Seriously?" Isn't it difficult to be hired there without a backer or connection? Joshua exaggeratedly replied.
"Just try, there's no harm in trying" replied Aaliyah, even though she wasn't sure if she could enter a 5 star hotel like Bellarocca especially since they both unexperience yet and especially without a connection to be used.
"Anyway, I would like to submit a resume too,I just want to try also," Joshua said with a laugh.
“Brother Joshua common let’s eat," Kevin called in the kitchen before Aaliyah could answer.
Not long after lunch, Joshua bid goodbye to go home.
