Chapter 1

"Chisa, Do I have an appointment with the CEO of Hayato Heights?"

Since I was little, my father was the CEO of Raishin Markets. He owns almost all the markets in Tokyo. "Yes. At four pm."

I happen to be his secretary. When he retires, he plans go give his place to my 17-year-old brother. After my mother's death, my father remarried to a woman with a son.

"Chisa, this is your new brother, Kinosuke."

At the time, he was 10 and I was 14. I knew that it wouldn't be worth causing trouble. I would only cause more harm to myself.

"Nice to meet you, Kinosuke." I invited him.

No, he is just a bratty kid who never takes his eyes off his phone. So, here am, as a secretary for my father, knowing I won't become CEO of this company anytime in the future.

"Thanks for your hard work today, Chisa." My dad complimented me. "Are you off to see your boyfriend now?"

"Yep. Today is his birthday, so I want to celebrate it together with him." I informed him.

"Well, have fun. I'm going on a dinner date with your stepmother tonight, so it will just be you and Kinosuke at home."

"Alright. See you."

"Bye."

I actually don't mind my job at all. Dad pays me well enough where I can buy different things. I live with my dad still at home, so it isn't too bad.

I have a boyfriend who is nice. He loves me and I love him. My life is actually nice.

I made my way to my boyfriend's apartment and opened the door. That moment was what turned my whole life around...

"Atsushi?" I called out to my boyfriend. I saw his clothes on the floor with another woman's clothes. I knew it wasn't mine because I never bought anything slutty.

I walked over to his bedroom and opened the door. There I saw him and another girl butt naked on the bed. "Ah."

Atsushi looked over at me and flinched. "Chisa? You are already here?"

He jumped out of the bed and looked around for his clothes. I glanced over at the girl. Thankfully I have never met her before.

Her face was flushed, and she covered herself with the sheets.

"I need to head home." I informed Atsushi.

"Wait! Chisa!" Atsushi called out to me.

"You shouldn't leave that girl alone. She must feel very embarrassed." I said before leaving the room.

My chest began to hurt. I have been with Atsushi since high school. Now he decides to cheat on me? It would have felt better if he told me he didn't like me. But I guess that's not how life works.

"I'm home, Kinosuke." I said as I walked into the house.

"What? You're already home?" Kinosuke looked over his shoulder. He finally took his eyes off of his phone.

"Heh...You finally look at me?" Suddenly tears began to fall down my cheeks. "Ah."

I fall to my knees and cover my face. I didn't want Kinosuke to see me crying.

"What happened, sis?" Kinosuke came running to me.

"Atsushi cheated on me." I answered wiping off the tears.

"That guy. When I get my hands on him..."

I then grabbed Kinosuke's shoulder, "It's fine. Can you just eat ice cream with me? I need company."

Kinosuke then sighed. "Sure. I'll lend you my shoulder to cry on just for today."

"Thanks."

"I don't understand why people cheat. Just be frank that you don't like the person you are with." I said before taking a bite out of my ice cream.

"If it were that easy, then we wouldn't have cheaters in the world." Kinosuke brought out a point.

"That's true, but I hate feeling this way."

"Yeah."

I glance over at Kinosuke and notice that he wasn't playing his video games. "You aren't playing your game?"

"I'm putting my attention on you for now. I don't want you crying again. Dad would think I did something to you." Kinosuke scratched his head.

"Thanks, Kinosuke. I feel much better because of you."

"Whatever." Kinosuke averted his eyes.

"Welp, I'm off to bed now. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day. Goodnight, Kinosuke."

"Yeah, whatever."

I have to stay strong. I will try my best to get over my break up!
