These people are so weird, we technically had an argument a few days ago and now they're behaving like nothing happened. Noah is a moron, he ditched me for his girlfriend. And now I'm here dying piece by piece listening to all the boring conversations at The Nightingale.

"Let's play a game of truth and dare" Mike suggested to which Nailea went and sat on his lap. "Let's start with-" she pointed her fingers to everyone sitting there but then landed on me. "You."

"I'm not playing your weird game." I rolled my eyes. "Why? Scared much? With what I'd ask?"

"I. Don't. Want. To. Play." I said, glaring at her. She rolled her eyes and moved to someone else. The next thing I was trying to find was a way to leave. While searching for a reason to leave, I found my only reason to stay.

Josette Marshall.

She was wearing shorts with a top and an oversized t-shirt, cheeks pink like candy floss, wavy brown long hair flawlessly striking through the air just as she walked, front curtain bangs styled in curls, lips in a dark pink shade, just like a clematis. I've seen many girls come here, all wearing miniskirts or dresses. My girl was different, special, and perfect. She looked ethereal, I almost felt like it was a fairy tale. The beast inside of me was trying so hard to come out after he saw his beauty walk in.

A jackass walked over to her, she smiled and the blood in my body boiled. He sat with her, and they chatted the whole time. I was jealous because he got to talk to her, touch her, laugh with her, and do all those things that only I should've been doing with her. It's been two hours since they're here, and the temperature of the boiling blood in my body rose a little. She was now dancing with that indescribable dimwit. And all I could think of was to make it stop.

Before anyone else could notice my change in facial expression, I stood up and started walking towards the men's restroom. I tried to wash my face to get rid of the natural pink tint appearing on my cheeks and did a little breathing exercise because I had been heavily breathing since I saw her enter the bar. I came out and saw that the blockhead was arguing on the phone while sitting in front of her, I would've never let her suffer with my arguments. I would've probably never even picked up the 'argument call' if I was him. The next thing was the best thing he could've ever tried and done in his whole life. He got up and said something in her ear to which she nodded in a 'no' and left. Jackass left.

I was still standing there admiring her when she stood up and went to the dance floor. I wish I could dance with her. The blood in my body was probably all vaporized because of too much boiling at once because there was another fucker dancing with her now. She had too many drinks -8 shots of something- I counted. I could decipher all of his dirty thoughts wondering in his filthy mind about her. She was still dancing without realizing that the guy's hand was sliding down her waist.

Definitely drunk.

That's it, I'm going over to her. This fucker will wish to die soon because now I would give him a prolonged but painful death until Josette punched him. I think I worry too much sometimes. I went over to get a clear look at the masterpiece she just created on his face. It was a nasty little punch, wow. She's a badass. His nose was bleeding too much, so she handed him a tissue, how nice and kind of her. After she went back to the counter, the security took the man outside, and the party- well, it must go on. She already had more than enough drinks, she should not have more. She won't be able to handle herself.

I had to do something, so I gained the courage and went over to her. I sat right where the blockhead was sitting earlier. I gestured to the bartender to not serve her any more alcohol, he understood. I tried talking to her⎼

"That was a good punch." She glared at me for a while but then smiled. Ah, that smile could melt anyone's heart. "I know, right? He deserved it," she said and called the bartender to refill her drink, whereas the bartender as expected, lied.

"I'm so sorry, ma'am but we're out of Vodkas now." So, she had a total of 8 vodka shots. Yes, definitely wasted. "You know, I'm a barista myself, and today I'll give you some very useful advice. Always keep stock. That's what we do." She was pointing her finger towards the bartender in a way to make him understand, which he definitely did. "Yes ma'am. And, sorry for the inconvenience again."

"Oh no worries, If I would've been a lawyer I would've filed a case on you, but unfortunately I'm not so, you guys are good." The bartender got scared after hearing about the case to which I assured him not to worry. "You're pretty drunk." I finally spoke. "Oh really? I didn't know about that." I don't know if she's mad or it's just sarcasm. "I apologize for not introducing myself, I'm Christian Larsen."

"We met a week ago. Did you forget?" I thought she didn't remember. "I think you should not go to the cafeteria." She said, mimicking me. "You're so dramatic, idiot Larsen." I didn't say anything after, so she did. "So, do I have to introduce myself to you too?" Absolutely not, my love. You've been running through my mind, carved on my heart, and written in my destiny since the day you first stepped your feet in Boston, if not I'll do so myself. I just nodded my head as a 'no'.

"I have my friends over here, do you want to join? I was sitting alone, anyways."

"You're asking me to join the trouble group" She widened her eyes and I nodded because yeah, that's what I wanted. I wanted her to sit with us, with me. "Absolutely not. I have no interest. Besides, I don't believe you were the one sitting alone. You must also have your brother- Noah Lancaster. Ever heard the name?" I laughed, not from what she said, but by how she said it. The expression on her face was hilarious.

"Noah ditched me for his girlfriend."

"Awh, I can understand. Audreya was going to be here too, tonight. But some work thing came up last minute." I almost forgot she wasn't aware of Noah being the 'work thing' she had to ditch her for. I wanted to tell her right away, but it wasn't my part to tell.

While we were talking, her phone rang-'Evil stepmom'. "It's my stepmother, I have to take it," she said and went outside. I followed her, and without letting her notice, I stood far behind her where I could have a clear view of her. I couldn't hear the whole conversation but from what I saw, she was arguing. I came back inside, and a minute after me she did too. "Okay, let's go over to your friends. But, let me tell you in advance, if Nailea does something absurd, I won't think twice before dismantling her face." She agreed to what I said? This was actually a fairy tale, and my life couldn't get any better!

"I know. I saw it." I said, smiling and referring to the jackass, whose nose she broke.

Everyone was shocked, looking at me bringing Josette over, especially Nailea. She probably won't like it, but it was the least of my concerns. Looking at the strange and furious expression on my face, Nailea figured that it was better to stay quiet. "Let's continue truth and dare, shall we?" She stated as soon as me and Josette sat down and got comfortable. "Josette, truth or dare?" she said staring into Josette's eyes. "No one calls me Josette. It's Jo" she scoffed. "Whatever, 'Jo'. Truth or Dare?" She didn't even take time to think. "I'll do dare." She replied with more sassiness. "I dare you to drink all these drinks," she called a waiter and pointed towards 3 glasses of whiskey. No. No. No. She can't do it, she already had more than enough. "Nailea, stop it." I glared into her soul, but she was tough, right now. "Or what?" While we were disputing, she was almost done with the last glass.

No. No. No. This is bad. Very bad.

"Done." She said, putting down the last glass. "Impressive." Nailea was looking at me with a crooked smile like she won an award or something. I was trying to figure out what was going on inside Josette's mind, but couldn't. Everyone was going on with the game. "Chris, Truth or dare?" I don't have time for these stupid games of hers. I knew she was trying to find a way to persuade me. "I told you. I'm not playing." I rolled my eyes, and she turned to Josette. Again? She knows something's up and I'm over her stupid games. I'm not dumb.

"Jo. Truth? or dare?" She made a very imposturous -innocent face. "Dare." Oh god, even Josette's not quitting. "I dare you to make out with Lucas."

"What?" Josette and I both said at the same time, appallingly.
