Chapter 22 : Is it real ?

Third person point of view

" So, what is that ? " Haruto asked and Junkyu showed it. " It is the script for the drama ". Haruto nodded and extended his hand. " Hm ? " Junkyu didn't know what Haruto wanted. Haruto showed with his eyes. Junkyu looked down at the script and made an 'ah'. He handed it to Haruto. Haruto looked at the cover page.

" How is it ? " Haruto asked turning to Junkyu. " It is a nice story. I liked the story line when I first heard it ". " How about other things ? " Junkyu tilted his head a little to the side. " Well... everything is pretty good. The script, screenplay, character design and all ". Haruto nodded flipping the pages.

" Why ? " Junkyu asked a little hesitantly. " Hm ? " Haruto turned to Junkyu again. " Why are you asking all that ? " " Even though we are involved in it, I never really look into any of it personally. I wanted to know what they were like since I asked to choose the best ones at the moment that time ". Junkyu nodded.

" Well it really feels like the best one ". Junkyu said in a bit of a shy tone. " That's good then ". Haruto smiled. " Do you think it will bring profit ? " Junkyu nodded. " I think it will. But I am not sure about the ones which might air around the same time, but it most likely will have good watch rate. The plot is intriguing ". Haruto nodded.

" It is enough if we get the amount invested at least ". Junkyu nodded. " That, you will get ". Haruto chuckled. " Really ? " Junkyu rubbed his neck. " Not I want to brag or boast, but I have a pretty good record. So it will be fine this time too ". Haruto nodded. " That's good then ". He opened a random page reading the content.

Junkyu noticed Haruto looking at the dialogues. " You... want to try saying the lines ? " He asked looking at Haruto with sparkling eyes. Haruto just stared at Junkyu. " You don't want to ? " Junkyu asked when he got no response from Haruto. Haruto blinked and averted his gaze. " I don't think I am that good ". Haruto finally responded.

" It is okay. Just say however you want it. Not like you are auditioning. And I will definitely not say anything about it ". Junkyu chuckled. " Fine ". Haruto agreed. Junkyu grinned and sat up properly. " Which scene do you want to try ? " Haruto looked through and opened a scene. " This ? " He showed it to Junkyu.

Junkyu nodded. " But- " " Let me take a picture of it. You can use this ". Haruto said and clicked photos of the script and gave it back to Junkyu. " Want to read through once ? Also whose dialogues will you say ? " Junkyu asked looking through them. " Yours ". Haruto answered. Junkyu noticed it was a scene between the female lead and him.

He stopped for a second. " Okay. Then I guess I will be the female lead ". He said and continued looking through the dialogues. He felt like he shouldn't have asked. These dialogues were in an emotional scene. He sneaked a peek and Haruto was sincerely reading the dialogues. He also went back to the script and continued to read them.

After a few minutes, Junkyu turned to Haruto. " Done ? " Junkyu asked and Haruto nodded. " Shall we start then ? " Haruto nodded. He took one last look at all of them and looked up again. He secretly started the voice recorder in his phone. He held his phone in his hand such that both their voices would get recorded. They sat facing each other.

Junkyu was kind of intrigued. He always analyzed his own characters. He used his own understanding on how to portray them, but now he was going to hear someone else saying the lines to him. He wanted to see how Haruto would say them and maybe analyze it. " Ready. Action ". Junkyu said and Haruto looked up to meet Junkyu's eyes.

Junkyu took a sharp breath in. Haruto's eyes were on point. The emotion in his eyes felt too real. " Why are you doing this ? " Haruto asked his voice sounding deeper. Junkyu almost forgot his lines. He gulped. " Don't you think I should be the one asking you that ? " He said his dialogue without stammering.

Haruto moved a little closer, his eyes never leaving Junkyu's. " What else should I do to earn your trust ? " Junkyu just stared at Haruto, lost in his eyes as Haruto said those heart felt dialogues. Haruto continued his dialogue. " Look at my eyes and tell me. Did all of the things that I did for you till now look like a lie ? "

Junkyu gulped feeling emotional. He shook his head. " Then why ? Why is it so hard for you to believe me ? " Haruto said his voice a little raspy. Junkyu looked away not able to hold on. Haruto looked confused. " What happened ? " He asked worried. Junkyu shook his head. " Nothing. I got into it a little too much. Sorry ".

Haruto patted his head. " What are you sorry for ? " He said with a smile. Junkyu chuckled. He has calmed down and let out a deep breath. " What is this ? You were so good ". Junkyu said looking at Haruto again. " Really ? I don't think so ". Haruto said rubbing his neck. " Aye~~ You are just being too nice ". Haruto chuckled.

" I will put this in the room ". Junkyu said showing the script. Haruto nodded. Junkyu went to his room and screamed in silence. His ears turned red. He put the script away. " Ah... " He put a hand to his chest. " What was that ? I almost cried ". He shook his head. " Uff ". He took a few deep breaths and went down again.

Haruto turned the recorded off and went to his room. He changed and went back down. He saw Junkyu was already there, sitting on the couch. He smiled and sat down beside him. They chatted for a while more. Ji Ho then called them for dinner and both of them went together. They finished dinner and went to their own rooms.

Junkyu looked at the script. He opened the scene which they re-enacted. There was a long dialogue he had to say. But he was so immersed and that happened. He put it away and buried his head in the pillow. He shouldn't have gotten that lost. He felt embarrassed. He turned the lights off and decided to fall asleep.
