195: She Lied!

"Mr Chen, why were we never informed about the witness from Daniella's side?" Asked Davids. 

From the court movies she watched, both didn't we're entitled to know who is going to testify against them but since yesterday, that was not given. They just walked blindly to the court and the witness appeared before their faces.

"Sometimes they are entitled to keep their witness secret because they fear they may be attacked by the defendant's side."

Davids was not buying whatever words that came from Mr Chen's mouth. She knew very well everyone is supposed to know something about the person going to testify against them. 

She watched we her dad was talking to Mr Chen about finding more important witnesses but the way things were looking, everyone from school might come out and testify against her. 

'Did I make many enemies while in school to make them so mad at me?' thought Davids to herself. She has only been there for three months and now everyone seems to have ganged against her. 

She threw her gaze and watched Damien, who was walking faster towards her, she expected him to throw a punch at her face but he slowly walked and hugged her.

"As for me, whatever anyone is going to say from now henceforth is going to be a lie Davids, because I don't believe anyone who is talking right now," told Damien.

"Sorry, I am sorry for dragging you into this. You are allowed to believe anything they say because you haven't known me for your whole life?" Said Davids as Damien broke from the hug.

"Bullshit, and whatever anyone is saying is bullshit and staged," said Damien as he sat next to her.

Davids raised her left brow and looked at him, "Is there something you are not telling me?"

"Davids, when we went on vacation with Clara, she was the one who forced me to have sex with her but I declined. She wanted it to happen so bad that I had to walk out of our room and spend my night at the beach, the following morning is when she apologised and told me that she was sorry about it and I just forgave her. Imagine the shock that caught me when she changed everything and said it was all me who forced her into sex!"

"What?" Shouted Davids and Damien had to place his hands on her mouth to prevent her words from reaching the court.

"That's why I am telling you, I don't believe a single word people are saying, if Clara wants to sue me for doing that, he can as well shout it all over for everyone to hear dude, there is nothing between us now!" Said Damien with finality.

Davids felt his anger. Reputation is something important and once it is destroyed it is hard to get it back. She thought that they were the best couple, her favourite ones she has encountered in her whole school life, how wrong was she to think they had it all perfect?

"Even me, during the final music year, when I went to pick Daniella, she was mad that I don't want to have sex with her. she was forcing herself on me, grinding on my waist wanted us to do it," said Davids as she remembered that day, and how Daniella was mad at her for taking too long.

"And after that?" Asked Damien with curiosity.

"I told her no until I feel like she was not ready to have sex, plus, dude, I am eighteen I cant engage in sex with a minor I will be jailed," said Davids in return.

Damien nodded his head, he was also eighteen and engaging in sex with a minor was punishable. 

"Look dude, if anyone thinks they are going to turn my reputation, then they are wrong, I am going to the university and I will accomplish my dreams," said Damien before wiping the sweat that was I'm his forehead.

Davids had even forgotten about going to the university, she didn't even remember she had graduated yesterday and her university letters were waiting for her. 

"Any course you've thought of?" Asked Davids. She was happy that Damien was not giving in to people's accusations.

"Something related to entertainment and Art technology, but I am also going to immerse myself and make sure I am the guru of the entertainment industry, trust me!" He said.

Though he was talking out of anger, there was determination in what he was talking about, and once he had decided on something, that's what he is going to do.

"Look, please just make sure you take care of yourself, I will be in prison until my final verdict that's when I will know whether I am free or will be in there for twenty years."

Damien noticed the sadness in her words, he thought that her parents will use their wealth and influence to get her out of prison, but he was surprised that they let her face the law.

"You are not going anywhere for twenty years dude,  I am going to make sure we win this and those girls who made us look bad, I don't want to say anything bad but I don't think I will be tolerating anything again.

Davids looked at her, she didn't have the same hope as to him. The tunnel was still dark and she is not sure who will testify against her next. The Clanks are influential and they can but anyone to testify against her, even Damien who feels like everything is normal, she knows it wouldn't be a surprise to see her testify against her but she shook that idea from her head and watched the determined friend beside her. 

"I think it's my time to go, dude, we will meet again tomorrow," told Davids as she saw the two police officers who were walking toward her.

"Sorry, I know it's hard but please take care of yourself, okay?" Davids nodded to his words, she didn't know what it was going to look like in solitary but she is going to try her best there. 

Vicky didn't want to see her daughter taken away, she knew that her daughter was civilised well mannered and they had given her enough discipline to have her rape someone else.

She escaped through the judge's door and went to close herself on the car. She couldn't bear the pain. 

Andrew and Mile were left behind as they say their goodbyes to Davids. 

Mike hugged her, though he was also devastated by what is happening, his company was losing stocks and many investors were withdrawing from the company. The only surviving companies were the ones he used his father-in-law's name to establish, they were the only things still standing.

Davids hugged Andrew, he was shocked that she had jumped to him, "compose yourself, uncle, I just wanted to say, watch out for Mr Chen and ask our lawyers if we are supposed to have the witness list because I don't trust him."

Andrew looked at Davids with a raised brow, though he also felt the same about Mr Chen.

After the little, awkward moment, Davids said her goodbye to Mr Chen before being escorted to the prison Van. The news reporters didn't find an opportunity to ask their silly questions but Davids watched them follow her father's vehicle. 

The ride to the prison we not long, but all the problems she is facing were making it longer. 

She still couldn't imagine Clara betrayed Damien after he confessed his love to her. She wished to see how the school blog will capitalise on the heading on their break up but she didn't want to imagine what they had posted about her. 

She looked out and all she saw were happy people, couples holding hands, teens from school walking around the area and am looking happy. 

She then looked at her hands and wondered whether they will be able to hold someone and the them that she loves them, kiss them. 

She closed her eyes because that was closer to impossible, she didn't want to love again, waste her time pleasing a girl who doesn't want to be pleased. 

She was supposed that she didn't regret the day she met Daniella, all the things they have been through, all she regrets about is escaping from home because of something she didn't bother to ask her parents. 

She still remembers when she caught Rita cheating on her, she regretted the day she remained late in the office and when she asked her out. 

"Get out, it's not sleeping time Rapist!" Shouted the officers. 

She wanted to ask them why they were calling her that but she closed her mouth, she jumped from the van and was escorted to the prison. 

Everyone was looking at her, other females rushed towards her and stood by the fenced field looking at her. She bowed her head feeling ashamed that she was there. She didn't get an opportunity to look at them because they were far from the fence. 

Inside the prison, she was stripped of her suit, checked thoroughly for any illegal possessions but they didn't found at any. Later she was given the orange uniform and escorted to her cell.
