Leave me alone

Three weeks later

Today I can finally take off my mask.

With this on my mind, I woke up. I could finally not wear it. A few times in the past weeks, I had problems during breaks.

Thanks to Jonny and Marko, somehow, I went out of it with no difficulties.

A few times Paula talked with me. Much more than I thought.

She did not follow what I said to her.

This for me, becomes annoying a few times.

As she does not want to follow my words. Knowing it, good that today I will not go there.

I will not miss any exams.

Having this on my mind, I did my morning routine, and walked to make breakfast.

Seeing Joanna there, she said, "We will go soon."

"OK," I said while grabbing milk. When Joanna smiled, I added cornflakes into a bowl and filled it with milk.

After doing it, I started eating while Joanna worked on her laptop.

Seeing my look, she smiled and said, "How are you, my little brother?"

"I am still thinking," I said.

"Oh, about," she asked. Hearing her voice, I said, "Will sister help me?"

"Oh, I always will. Megan too," Joanna said.

"I mean Sophia," I said.

"Oh, she will. Today you will meet with her, so do not worry," Joanna said.

"OK. Still, like you told me," I asked.

"Yes. I talked to her. She does not know who you are. So don't worry," Joanna said.

Hearing her words, I nodded, and then I continued eating. After ending everything, I changed, and our trip to the clinic began.

During the ride there, I keep an eye out. No idea what Joanna has on her mind? Where are we going?

Slowly I could recognize where.

As I come here with Megan.

Knowing it, I smiled, and after Joanna parked, I walked out, and then checking began.

I walked from one room to another. No idea why, so many things they need to do for me.

Finally, I looked at the doctor, and he said, "All should be OK. Don't worry."

"Thank you," I said, looking into the mirror. I could see a small scar there. Seeing it, I smiled and said, "Thank you so much. I will go now."

"OK. Bye," the doctor said.

"Bye," I said, and after grabbing a bag with me, I strolled out.

First, I texted Joanna and Megan that all is done, and all is good.

After doing it, it was time to go to meet Sophia for the first time.

No idea how she will react to me.

Therefore, I put a mask on.

Just to have protection, and not let her see my face fully.

During my walk to the bus stop, my phone started ringing.

Seeing it, without looking at who I answered, I said, "Yes."

"Jack. Where are you" Paula's voice came.

"Oh, I visited the doctor. Now I'm going to meet a lawyer. As soon I will meet Kean in court," I said.

"Good that you are there. He is in a rage. Looking for you all around," she said.

"Thank you for the information," I said, and Paula hung out.

Seeing it, I shook my head. Probably tomorrow, my school life will be worse than previously.

Knowing that, I came to the bus stop.

After checking when the bus would come, I started waiting for it, and not long after, my trip to meet Sophia came.

Driving there took me some time, but after coming to my destination,

I came out from the bus and walked around, looking for Sophia's office.

The walk took me some time, but finally, I found where she was.

Seeing it, I came inside, and then I could hear, "to whom."

"Sophia Williams," I said.

"For what," a woman there asked.

"I have a meeting with her," I said while coming closer to the reception. Seeing me, she asked, "name."

"Jack Smith," I said.

"Oh, no name here," she said. Seeing it, I looked at her, and said, "OK."

"Please come out," she said.

"OK," I said, and then I walked out of the building.

"So we have problems," I said, quietly.

Before I could call Joanna, a woman's voice came. "Problems with what?"

"I should have a meeting here," I said while turning to her.

I could see that she might be my sister.

Her face is so similar to Joanna's. Eyes and mouths like Megan's.

"Oh, with whom?" the woman asked me.

"Sophia Williams," I said.

"Oh, I have a meeting with some teen? First time I heard about this," she said.

Therefore, she is my sister. Hearing her voice, I said, "I am here, as Joanna Williams told me."

"No chance," she said. Hearing it, I said, "I might call her."

"Just do it. Some teen telling that knows my younger sister," she said. Seeing some person who came closer, she said, "wait."

"OK. Miss," he said. Seeing it, I grabbed the phone, and then I called Joanna.

When she answered, she said, "yes. My little brother."

"Do I have a meeting with Sophia Williams today?"

"Yes. Some problems?" Joanna asked.

"I will pass the phone to her," I said.

As I looked at Sophia, I did this. When she looked at me, she said, "Yes", and not long after Sophia added, "Got it. Come after me."

"OK," I said, and then I took the phone from her hand.

I hope she has not seen how Joanna is there written.

When I smiled, I walked after her, and then not long after, we came to her office. As I looked at Sophia, she said, "How you were close to Joanna?"

"Wait. What do you mean?" I asked.

"I asked. What you had done," she said.

Before I could say something, my phone started ringing.

Hearing it, I looked at Sophia, and then she said, "answer. Later we will talk."

"Thank you," I said. No idea why Sophia reacted like that. Seeing who was calling, I answered, and said, "Yes."

"Oh, Jack. Where are you," Megan's voice came.

"I should have a meeting soon," I said.

"Good to know. I have not told you. Sophia is overprotective of Joanna," Megan said.

"Good. Thank you," I said.

"OK. I will hang out. I will talk with you later," Megan said, and then she called.

Hearing it, I looked at Sophia, and then she said, "So, as Joanna said. You want me to represent you?"

"Yes," I said shortly. Hearing me, Sophia looked at me, and then I said, her short in what case?

Her expression changed a little. Seeing it, I continued, and when I did all this, she said, "OK. When?"

"From what I know. All will be on Friday," I said, shortly.

"Oh. So soon," she said.

"Yes."

"OK. I will deal with this. Evidence you have all?" she asked.

"They will be there," I said.

"Witness," she asked.

"Will be," I answered. I hope Paula will show up there.

Hearing me, Sophia looked at me for a short time and then said, "Go. I will handle it all. Now I hope Joanna will leave me alone."

"OK," I said, and then I strolled out. After coming outside, I looked at the building and started walking to the bus stop.

Now it's time to come back home.

As I need to learn for my next exam, and make a few things at home.

As I kept walking for some time, I could see an older woman with a lot of bags. I could see that she was struggling with them.

Without thinking, I came closer to her and asked, "Ma'am. Might I help you?"

"Oh, thank you," she said, and then I grabbed the bags from her hands. Seeing it, she nodded, and I said, "Oh, please go. I will follow."

"Thank you, young man. Good people still live in this world," she said.

"Yes," I said shortly.

Hearing me, she nodded, and then I followed her.

After we came to the destination, she said, "Oh, can you stay for tea and something sweet?"

"I can," I said shortly.

Hearing me, the woman nodded, and then I walked inside her place.

While there, I helped her with unpacking when she made tea and took out cookies. Seeing it, I smiled, and I followed her to the living room.

After sitting, we started talking.

Time passed nicely. Seeing her smiling at me finally, "I can meet you with my granddaughter. She might be your age."

"Oh, thank you. I will pass," I said.

"Oh, why? You are such a good-looking young man," she said.

"If I find someone, I will try on my own. I know granny has good intentions, but I will pass," I said while getting up.

Hearing me, she said, "oh, good excuse. I hope you will find your true love."

"Yes. I hope so. Thank you for the tea and cookies. I will go back now. Time to learn more," I said.

"Oh, you are perfect," she started saying, but stopped. Seeing it, I looked at her, and said, "Goodbye."

"By," she said, and then I walked out. Still, I had on my mind her words. Maybe she knows me.
