Chapter 6 Punishment

Getting themselves comfortable, their captain let them rest only to expect the worst the following day.

'At least they won't be killed!' all three escapees thought.

Mike dashed to the kitchen to prepare a meal for the captain without delay. 'Maybe this will help him pacify his anger a little?'

Back at Jenny who was leaving the college premises with a smile and she had let her hair fall all over her cute face making flatter as it danced with the winds. It was already evening and the good news was that she had finally been accepted. She'd go sit the college entrance exams in two weeks from now then pursue her dream in art, she was sure to knock it off as her IQ was 150, she was smart,intelligent and what not!

She was a die hard of painting but unluckily, she had not gotten the chance to do that in her past life. Her smile was so bright and dazzling that the people she walked passed were bewitched at her innocent jolly smile. She was the kind of person that had infectious emotions, she was refreshing like an arriving spring that others found themselves smiling as well. Putting her earphones in, she turned on her favourite artist Gfriend and danced to their song Mago and slowly danced to the tune as she made her way to the grocery store.

She reminded herself not to go back to that dinner unless otherwise or she'd run into that dangerous man from earlier. He literally had electric current emanating from his stare that stirred wierd things in her stomach.

'Danger!!!!!!' was all he screamed.

Jason was in his room thinking of wherr all this was going to lead him to. He was sure that more are going to come to him but this was not yet the time for that and he had to do something about it to prevent it escalating.The day drifted off like, the young men left to go grocery shopping since captain had nothing in his refrigerator and soon it was late at night and the three men with a dog sat down and eyed the meal prepared by Mike. It was spaghetti,spicy rice and deep fried chicken breast with freshly squeezed orange juice.

'Was this edible!!' They gave his meal a pensive look. Even Markus was looking at his food with contempt.

"Hey, you can't do that to the meal I painstakingly prepared!!" His feelings were being hurt here you know!!!

"Make sure not to set my house on fire." Jason's voice was cold.

"Will do, Captain." Mike replied enthusiastically with a boyish grin.

"He meant don't ever cook again!" corrected Travis.

"Ehhhhhh...", Mike was tongue-tied. Didn't do great back there then?! His fingers were even scalded!!

Digging in, the meal was not actually that terrible but the captain said nothing to them after that. Their Captain from before would engage in small talk during the meal making it lively.

'He will have calmed down after the meal. After all I prepared his best meal!' Thought Mike as he shoved food in his mouth with a sour expression.

Finalising his meal, Jason stood up and proceeded to his room.

"Captain good night!" the twins said simultaneously and turned to look at each other narrowing their eyes in the process.

'Why speak with me both thought?!' They couldn't afford to banter in the captain's presence but only have mind battles.

He ignored them and proceeded to his room quietly. This side of him was quite eerie and for people who had been with him knew that he was always scheming - ehem!!! - planning something! Is it their punishment?! Both brothers paled at this thought and so did Markus.

In the early morning hours

The three escapees sleeping lifelessly on the king sized bed that fit around five people woke up with a startle when freezing cold water was splashed on them.

"Fuck you!!!" Travis cursed. Which fool was fooling with him this late at night, actually his mouth acted before his brain registered anything as he thought he was still at base and his comrades were pranking him but when he saw his captain's face, he jumped out of bed.

Markus also jumped out of bed and shook the water off his body clearly unhappy with captain's conduct. 'He should wake them up nicely!'

Whereas Mike refused to budge, mere cold water wouldn't make him leave his bed. Well he was accustomed to such torments from way back as he was lazy hence this was the way to get him out of bed but not anymore. 'Maybe the Captain should try using fire this time but he won't budge.'

"I apologize captain, I didn't meant to...." Travis tried to defend himself.

"Out now!!" Jason ordered. Nothing was as scary as when he was in combat mode.

"Right away!" replied Travis but looking at his brother who refused to budge, he had no other choice than grab his leg from under the covers and drag him out of bed only to fall with a loud bang making him groan in pain.

Then begun the torture....

Mike and Travis had just finished five hundered pushups, one thousand sit-ups and had a forty mile run.They were drenched in their own sweat, huffing and puffing in a bid to fill their lungs with some oxygen as they experienced what it meant to die and their bodies were very sore that they had troubled moving. If this 'punishment' didn't have a time limit, that'd have been fair but they had till midday and here they were in the park, three blocks away from captain's penthouse. Too tired to speak!!! Cruel!!!

Markus was no different from the twins, he was panting crazy. Having run miles to get to his boss but instead of getting a warm welcom he was subjected to torture, indeed as expected of the dark Shadow Elite Force. They had just returned from their 'punishment' and he was super thirsty. Mike and Travis didn't give a damn about him because they had vaguely passed out from exhaustion.

"Where are these two fools. They should be here soon, I hope they didn't slack off." murmured Jason to himself. " I better go check up on them." he had gone back to bed and left the two fools to handle their punishment with out being monitored. He knew they'd never dare to slack off so, he left his apartment and walked out.

In the park

Having nugged the twins to wake up to buy him ice cream but none even had the energy to stand up, Markus trotted to the ice-cream stall near by. It wa time to activated his dog charm. 'Whimper, try to looks as pitiful as you can!' he recalled the guys' advice back at base whe he tried to sympathise with Jason whenever he committed a crime and now wearing his one in a million face, this man was bound to give in because even his cold Captain never escaped him hence, Markus went close to the stall th where the middle aged man who operated it was, sitting on his hind legs, helooked up to him and panted to show his desire for something to cool his thirst!

Looking at the dog that had approached him, the man let out a tired sigh!

"Boy, where is your master hmmmm....you look super healthy so there's no way your a stray dog. Go call your master to buy you one!" he tried to explain.

Markus tilted his head to the side as if he didn't understand but then looked back at Mike and Travis who lay dead in the grass then turned back to look at the ice cream stall owner, his expression said it all 'they won't get up!!' He had nugged them for God knows how long but they didn't budge.'

Soon a beautiful young lady walked towards the stall to get some ice cream too.

'This one could be an easier target!!' thought Markus. 'I heard females find us cute and adorable. My charm might work perfect.'

Markus turned to look at the lady and tried his charm again.

Startled lightly, the young lady stepped back slightly but regained her posture and made her pay.

Whimper!!!

She looked down to meet the dogs cute eyes. Laughing dryly, she tried to keep her fear for dogs at bay. "Is he yours?!" she asked the stall owner.

"No, he has been her asking for ice cream. He tried to wake his master up but they won't budge, they seem dead tired." he looked the two young men who hadn't woken up since they fell on the ground around fifty minutes ago.

"Ohh, okay, then make another one for him. I'll pay it for him." she offered.

"Your so kind!" the stall owner praised.

"Haha, not really!" She denied, then walked away leaving Markus aside with his ice cream that he devulged greedily but that wasn't enough!! He looked back at the man after finishing his ice cream.

"Arrggghh don't look at me!! I won't give things for free, try your charm on the little lady maybe it will work again." this dog was a smart one but he wasn't dense.

'Learn to share!!!' Markus barked his retort and sprinted off to the young lady.
