The recent chapters are absolutely unacceptable, please do something Qidian, the grammar is dreadful. Just mistake upon mistake, which really kills this wonderful novel. And thst costs spirit stones!

The story is good as it reminds the main character that there are other geniuses which makes him not the strongest talent in the universe. The bad thing is the translator himself as he sometimes follows Xue Ying into seclusion.

One of the worst fucking novel I have ever read, hero is like ultra super star, he will fight with everyone, let's say if his cultivation is in stage-1 he will fight with stage-10 people. One of the worst thing is no background development or no creativity in story etc etc etc

I'm sorry but this is a terribly inconsistent novel, I understand it's a fictional story but it has no logic or rythm eating a magical beast that weighs more than a ton alone which takes 6 people to carry it (not even goku can touch him) then he needs money for his younger brother to learn magic but when hunting magical beasts apparently they are too low level to collect ( their value is not less than 3000 gold) so he leaves about 8 of those bodies behind. It's an ok novel for those who just started reading light novels but I honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone try, I shall seal the heavens.

Great story. I feel its better than my 3.8 rating by far but thats because character design cannot get more stars. For anyone new to I eat tomatoes works, take a zero off any measurement of weight or distance to stay sane.

Come on people lets not keep this on the shelf for another week, vote vote vote. This is my favourite novel right and i had to wait a whole SIX months for an update. SIX months. This is better than 99 percent of novels being translated right now, and it was also dropped at a very tense and exciting arc. Anyway I've rambled on enough. I'll be sure to wrote a proper review when it's released.

Translation quality is very bad. There is not much logic in the story and the plot is full of holes. Tried to read it without thinking too much, disregarding the translation and plotholes, but the story is just too badly translated. Its as if it was translated by a child or a second english speaker. Cant continue reading, sorry.

I'll be honest. The amount of bull**** is absolutely absurd. Trial this, trial that. Around chapter 320 I had to force myself to read it. At this point, I just cannot handle it because of the repetitiveness of it. If I had to put the pain I felt while reading this into words, it would be like your poor eyes getting gandbanged without lube.

Trash translator that doesn’t value any of their readers. Zero communication from them and on about the 4th break, and again no notice. Suggest you stay away from this unprofessional prick until it’s completely translated, to save yourself from the disappointment he delivers to his readers. And don’t get me started on webnovel who doesn’t hold him to his contract.

Look it’s a great novel, absolutely fantastic actually. Only problem is the trash of a translator that is doing a terrible job. He disappears for about 2 weeks at a time, no notes as to why or any apologies or explanations as to why. For a premium novel this is sub par and shouldn’t be premium. Then you have the so called “professional” Webnovel, who don’t hold these trash translators accountable for their releases. Stay clear for now until after it’s all translated.

Probably the worst IET series. The power system seems far more slapped together than any previous story, especially as the story progresses beyond the initial few arcs. Plot armor, or to be more accurate plot contrivance. A typical bad webnovel will have plot armor protecting the MC again and again. In Lord Xue Ying, however, plot forces the MC into stupid situations and then rescues him from said stupid situation by improving his power level. This happens again and again. E.g: The MC is the most promising individual in the world, yet he has no protective guard, and the enemy can counter his invincibility for PLOT reasons, yet he is only poisoned... Hypocritical and arrogant MC, no more really needs to be said here. Lackluster MC, his only real defining character trait is he likes the spear and cultivates fast - he is essentially an autistic savant who likes the spear. Honestly this doesn't really seem like a proper IET novel, but rather seems more like half decent fanfiction of one about the greatest 2d Mary Sue that ever was.

The author has a thing were he always does something to the mc wife it gets boring he did in DE also CD and ST if you guys read those novels you know what I’m talking about

I would say that if you are looking for that perfect wuxia traditional cultivation Novel by a very famous author which is I Eat Tommatoes. IET have written novels like Coiling Dragon (My OG First completed novel), Desolate Era and Swallowed Stars that is all very popular and the storyline while simplistic at time is stable. Lord Xue Ying is like the epitome of his work and the author himself states that his favourite novel by far is Lord Xue Ying out of his other works. There is enough pressure on MC with clear defined goals, interesting cultivation theories and the world is vast. MC have a personality that started unyielding, straightforward but grow to be slightly cunning with principles. The MC is 4 stars and above if I were to rate him. There is some romance as well and its not overdone. No harem or ecchi. However, cons is that the story still follow the similar direction of any wuxia novels so don't expect too much surprise and the first 200-300 chapters is considered by the author as a prologue which is the longest prologue there is and the author wrote it to be more monotone then usual. After prologue is when you really get into that action. I still enjoyed the "prologue" though. There is about 1400 chapter and the chapter currently sits at 500 so I expect it will take 2 years to finish the entire novel and therefore, you may take it up after 2years. Overall, an above average novel to pick up if you don't mind a slow start and have no completed novels to read. If you want to read completed works, go for his coiling dragon or desolate era which is available at webnovel too.
