When You Play With The Ouija Board (He Sees You)

You got the pizza, the popcorn, the sodas, and the beautiful variety of horror movies DVDs to choose from. You set everything up and feel damn proud of it too since your best friend Stephanie is coming over and you haven't seen her in a while, so tonight should be fun. You then hear a knock at the door and you rush over to open it. Seeing Stephanie there smiling and holding something behind her back.

Stephanie: Y/n! It's been way too long!

Y/n: (You give her a hug) I'm so glad you could come.

You invite her inside, and she follows you into the living room. You notice she's holding something behind her back, but you pretend not to notice for now.

Y/n: So I already got the food and drinks now we just got to choose which movie to watch. I got the Texas Chainsaw Genocide, Countdown to Death, The Old Cabin in the Woods, The Nightmares on Gem Street all 10 films of it, all films of Halloween Killer, and a bunch of other movies to choose from. So what do you want to watch?

Stephanie: Actually... I was thinking we could play a little game.

She reveals a board game from behind her back and when you get close; you see that it isn't just any board game.

Y/n: Is that an Ouija Board?

Stephanie: Yup! I'd figured since we're going to be watching some scary shit, might as well play this, right?

Y/n: Yea... I don't know... (You hold the board) I thought these were taken off the shelves because of what happened.

Stephanie: (She smirks) You really believe those kids actually saw a demon? (Takes the board) Come on, if anything, those little bastards probably thought they saw something and cried to their moms that night.

Y/n: I mean, the news also said that they all died from weird accidents and the last kids' final words were something about a demon getting them ever since they played with the Ouija Board.

Stephanie: Girl, no, don't believe everything the news tells you.

Y/n: I don't, not completely.

Stephanie: We'll be fine. The only way this thing will hurt us is by giving us splinters. Other than that, we'll be okay. Now you playing or what?

Y/n: Well... alright.

She places the Ouija Board in the middle of the coffee table as you two sit across from each other. You don't know how this is going to go, but maybe she's right, maybe those kids just got themselves into deep shit with the wrong people or something. You two then place your fingertips on the planchette and she starts to move it slowly across the board.

Stephanie: Is there anyone with us?

Y/n: Hopefully not.

Stephanie: Shut up.

Nothing happens. The planchette isn't moving. Now you know you don't have a ghost in your house.

Stephanie: Is there anyone here who would like to speak with us?

Y/n: ... I don't think this is working.

Stephanie: Well shit, there was a lot of hype when this came out. People kept saying the lights kept flicking, doors slamming, voices of little girls. How come this shit isn't working?

Y/n: Wait... Wait, so why the hell are we playing this in my house? You could've asked me to play this in a cemetery or your own house.

Stephanie: My mom sees us with this shit. It'll be my ass.

Y/n: Which is worse? A ghost or your mom?

Stephanie: My mom, anyway, let's keep going. I know a chant we can use.

Y/n: (You remove your fingertips off the planchette) If it's Lucifer you want to summon, I'm throwing this shit out the window.

Stephanie: It ain't Lucifer, come on put your fingers back.

You let out a quick sigh as you place your fingertips back on the planchette. She slowly moves it across the board again before making circles at the center.

Stephanie: Alright I'm gonna say it first and I'll let you know when to say it.

Y/n: Alright.

Stephanie: (She takes a deep breath and stops where the glass lands on the letter D) Where is light without dark? Where is dark without light? In this world of sin as darkness becomes our light. Where is light without dark? It's your darkness we summon, Lord of Darkness. Where is golden light without embracing the dark? Where is light without dark? (She nods her head to you)

Y/n & Stephanie: (Stephanie slowly moves the planchette in circles at the center of the board) Where is light without dark? Where is dark without light? In this world of sin as darkness becomes our light. Where is light without dark? It's your darkness we summon, Lord of Darkness. Where is golden light without embracing dark? Where is light without dark?

Nothing happens for a few seconds. You could instantly tell the disappointment in her face, as you don't know whether to feel bad or laugh. But then, in less than a second, the planchette flies across the board, causing you and Stephanie to let go, but that doesn't mean it'll stop. It quickly moves all over the board, landing on almost every letter in no particular order so fast that you and Stephanie stand up. The coffee table shakes as the planchette keeps moving, the lights flicking on and off as you two don't know what to do. You're too scared to even scream.

Then, from beneath the board, a thick black smoke appears. It almost engulfs the board, but before it does, the planchette slows down a bit and you think it spells out your name, but it was still going kind of fast for you.

The black smoke now completely engulfs the board, while the planchette keeps moving until it's gone. The board is gone; the planchette is gone, but your coffee table is still there thankfully. You and Stephanie look at each other as the light now stays on.

Stephanie: ...

Y/n: ...

Stephanie: I...

She tries to say something but it completely speeches by the whole thing, and so are you. Now you don't know if you want to watch any horror movies considering that just happened.

Y/n: ...You... wanna watch a comedy movie?

Stephanie: ...Yea...

The first hour was really quiet as the movie plays but sometimes after that, it's like you two almost forgot since you two are watching the movie 'Let's Be Jackasses'. Thankfully, you have the entire film series of it since it was a great distraction from earlier. Hours go by until it almost gets dark and Stephanie has to leave.

Stephanie: Well that was fun, I'll text you later okay. (She gives you a hug)

Y/n: Okay see ya. (You hug her back)

You close the front door and head back to the living to clean up before heading to bed. While you pick up the leftover pizza and drinks, you look at the coffee table and remember what happened. You just keep staring at it, but then again, you also think to yourself that maybe your house isn't going to be haunted since nothing else happened while you two were watching a movie. The lights are working just fine; you don't hear voices, and your doors aren't slamming shut. You just leave it at that and get back to cleaning up.

After cleaning up, you take a hot shower before changing into your pj's and going to bed. You turn off the lights before laying down on the bed and cover yourself with the warm blanket. You eventually drift off to sleep, unaware of another being watching you from another realm.

???: What a beautiful human she is. She's perfect. I know you can not see me yet my love, but I promise you, you will. I shall prepare a feast for your arrival. I shall be seeing you very soon, my love.
