A New Start

Memories were suddenly burnt after he disappeared. Disappointments and insecurities coating me all throughout. Those were like a poison that whenever they flown through my veins, my whole being went slowly destroyed. Though I tried my best to ease the pain by doing some other stuffs, those still weren't enough since I was the one whom being left by someone that I truly love. Pain isn't that easy to heal after you realized one day,  you're just alone who kept upholding the relationship you built together. after all, everything wasn't enough that it is still you whom being left behind.

"Oh Tina! You still look horrible! Though you insisted that you totally forgot everything, but still your eyes won't lied. Poor Tina, how long will you being like that?" Olivia's indeed a good guesser that I can't hide anything from her. Either I'm not good in acting skills or maybe she's kinda shaman girl who entirely knows me well..

"Don't bother me Oli, you know this is not easy for me, but I tried my best winning against my self...I felt the progress at least. And I believe.. I am now getting feel better than before." I replied.

"Good! By the way, Charles told me about stargazing tonight. How about you join us! It's been a long since we didn't make it together. What do you think?"

"I'm in! I missed that stuff actually. Maybe it's about time for me to be delighted somehow. I badly need a new start." It was like the thorn has being picked out right after Olivia mentioned about the stargazing. The thorn was actually my longest burden that at last I was totally got rid from it.. Four of us were usually doing this years ago on the mountaintop to look and observe the beauty up on the sky. But due to some of my memories vanished, I couldn't even remember if where was the last time we spent each other into this. And now, we talked about making another sort of memories by doing that again. But this time we're just only three..me, Charles and Olivia. Hanley's already not included since he had suddenly disappeared.

"Pffft..speaking of bitch! Another troublesome is coming. Here we go!!" Olivia talked about our wicked boss who's very demanding when it comes about the tasks that he'll gotta give us in. He isn't that kind but less of patience and always irritated.

"Oh no! I'm dead!" I was being worried after I realized the deadline that we agreed the last time we met should be on that day. I wasn't even that sure if he'll gonna be satisfied with it or, it will be in the trash again.

"What did I said to you Tina? I badly need this ASap!!why were you keep saying you're still working on it?!I already gave you much time! Weren't those enough?"

"I'm really sorry sir..honestly, I already had my designs here but I'm afraid you'll not gonna like it because of the quality standards you talked about. You know I am not the qualified one but you kept insisting. That's why..I did my best, my all efforts into this. If you don't want it pls don't throw it away."

"Don't you dare telling me what I have to do!! Just hand me now the designs and let me know your fortune as of today.."

"But I.."

"Don't try to lose my patience Tina...Hand...me..the.. designs... NOW!!!" this time, he was getting furious that his voice echoing to the entire building. I wasn't had a choice but to give him what he wanted then suddenly closed my eyes as another disappointment will definitely comes.

"Are you kidding me?! Are all this best for you? What a fool!? You know what, you're not that Kindergarten that whenever the teacher let you draw something, you'll gonna make it such a trashy thing!" He crumpled all the designs I've made. It's ended how're my sleepless nights turned to be useless after all the efforts I've done being neglected again. The worst thing was, he destroyed all my hard works and even my dream. Those time my pride had stood up which was completely ready to attack against humiliation.

"All my life, I respected you..but now, you totally getting me on my nerves! You don't deserve my perseverance.. actually...I Quit!" I never had a doubt while spitting those words to his face! I was being honest for I wasn't happy at all. I just thought and realized how come I dealing this kind of people for a very long time. My patience were totally getting full and couldn't helped but threw it out.

"Me too..I quit!" Olivia's did her hand's up so that she will caught up the manager's attention that which made me surprised.. I never do expected what she was just said.

"Hahahaha!!! You're even not important to this company! You're not the one leaving us that way! I'll be the one getting fire you all!"

"Huh! So..be it!" I showed him my confidence and let him know I wasn't that scared. I also smirked him as he will gonna see me how happy I was that at last I had breaking free the jail that giving us such infernal way of living which negativity had fully occupied us for so long.

"By the way sir.. Next time, don't ever shouted with your big mouth!.. honestly, we felt dizzy a bit with the smell on it.!" Olivia had spoken those words that made the other employees laughed secretly.

"How dare you insulting me? I'm the boss here and y'all just the garbage stink all over my company!"

"Oops!! You forgot something... you're not now our boss...babooosh!!" Olivia grabbed me out of the premises. While the manager had pissed off as he threw us something that we immediately dodged out.

"Get you out of here you idiots!!!!" He shouted all his breathe pointing to his employees while me and Olivia laughing together with the best day happened in our lives. And that's how we lost our Job.

It was like as heaven when the wind had smoothly caressed our skins after reaching the mountaintop. Me, Charles and Olivia felt exhausted that's why we threw ourselves laying on the grass to have some rest for a while.

"What a wonderful sunset!" The beautiful sunset which amazingly seen felt me relieved and relaxed.

"Hey Tina! Don't you wanna build up your tent.?..come on!" Charles called me that made my motivation interrupted.

"Coming.." I replied.

The night has come when we done building our tents. We prepared our foods together to eat some and be ready with the stargazing later. As if when Olivia slipped some words that suddenly made my whole expressions changed.

"I remember how Hanley good at it.. making fire without this lighter.." She said...

"Ah-huh? Ehem.." Charles trying interrupted her just to help her realized I overheard everything what she says.

"It's ok Charles! Honestly, I missed him too but not same as before. I only missed those memories when he's with us...about him and I... those memories were totally vanished! I understand that you also missed him because once, he was our friend."

"Sorry Tina...I didn't mean to.." Olivia was apologizing but I didn't gave her a chance to continue what about she's saying."

"Forget it! Let's do this quick so that we won't missed the shooting star tonight." I said.

We prepared all our stuffs after eating our dinner. Right after assembling our telescopes, Charles had let me see something.

"Binoculars are a great tool for observing the night sky. This is the Celestron SkyMaster 25–125x80 Zoom Binocular. Do you like it?"

"What the... looks like it kinda simple but..what a perfect zoom binocular." That was Olivia when she suddenly appeared behind us and saw what Charles handed me at the moment.

"Yeah! It's not that hassle to carry. Kind of.. I'll gonna change my taste now." I said..

"Seriously? What about your favorite telescope? I remember when Hanley gave you those cool accessories such as a dew shield, Barlow lens, Moon filter, or nebula filter. Those eyepieces were totally cool! And that's how you were jumping with overloads of happiness." Olivia had extremely pissed me off again! I know she didn't mean what she just said out of her excitements. But this time, she's gone too far and I honestly hate it.

"You know what?.. maybe we should split up in a while. I mean...you and Charles together in here..and me alone in there! And please...take note! I wanna be alone for God's sake! No talking about Hanley and me...nothing else but peace... Understand Olivia..?"

"Ohh..I'm so sorry Tina..."

"Ughh.." I just sighed and left them behind.

Honestly, I regretfully done those to Olivia. I was ashamed to my self knowing that I've been caught up pretending that I wasn't affected anymore. But..reality hurts so much that I couldn't escape however I tried to do so. It's just...I certainly that fool.

"The best time to observe the stars is after midnight, when the sky is darkest and Earth's rotation faces the direction of the planet's motion in space, so the oncoming meteors seem to travel even faster." It was Hanley talking in my dream when I suddenly took a nap in a while right after preparing my alarm so that I won't missed the perfect moment catching the beauty of the stars.

Later on, I felt the wind was getting cold and seems like it's caressing me all throughout in purpose. I woke up abruptly when some kind of unexplainable energy held me so passionately.

"Kind of weird..He's getting in my mind again! But this time.. It's more like.. it was real?!" I'd never been slept again after seeing my phone. it's about the right time that meteor shower will gonna showed up. I was just open the canned beer and drunk it while waiting for the perfect time. Even Charles and Olivia came out from their tents and silently observing the sky.

Few minutes later...

"Wow!! So beautiful! My best reliever is now coming! What a perfect place I'm in.." I was being amazed after seeing the meteor shower using my telescope. Spotting a meteor streaking across the sky is a truly captivating sight to behold. The dramatic, bright trails that streak across the sky come from a much more harmless source --- a dust particle the size of a grain of sand colliding with Earth's atmosphere, making it glow.
