The Second Tournament, Spear God Yue Yang Descends!

Well it was a forgone conclusion as he threw a beginner Hero out of the ring after a few spear blows. Yue Yang was currently using strength equivalent to a beginner Braveman and the Yue Clan Advanced Spear Techniques. This alone daunted the majority of the challengers that would face him in the tournament, though that majority was the extended clansmen who didn't possess grimoires. As for Yue Tian and Yan who felt like they were unmatched geniuses because they had grimoires, well they also won their matches and advanced.

Yue Yang was smiling as he thought about how to rip the rug from below them as he couldn't just shamelessly kill all their beasts like the original. After all his great plans for the future also involved conquering the Soaring Dragon Continent, taking over the Yue clan was only part of the bigger picture, if he could use his marriage to the tigress in the future to take over Da Xia, then use the war with Zi Jin to conquer it. Well that was for the future, though it was without a doubt the simplest parts. Of course convincing the cross dressing Empress Hau Xu Ri to marry him would be extremely difficult, though subordinating the small kingdoms would be easy as long as he could fuse the three great empires.

Yue Yang faced two more weaklings before finally getting to face Yue Yan, he knew the best way to rub mud on his face in this tournament and not leave a bad impression on the audience. As soon as the match began Yue Yang shot forward placing the head of his spear against Yue Yans throat, yes the simplest and most direct defeat to the young man(?) would leave the most lasting impression.

"Brother Yan, you put to much faith into your grimoires protective shield. What good is it if your enemy can kill you before you even bring it out? Instead of just training beasts you should train yourself as well." Yue Yang advised his cousin with a heartfelt and sincere look, those watching truly believed he had his cousins best interests in heart as he advised him. Only the childish Yue Yan reacted to it as it truly was and threw a tantrum at him.

"Not fair! You didn't let me summon you let all the others summon!" The petulant ten year old child didn't want to accept his loss or to lose the halo of a genius.

Of course how could a child be prepared for a reincarnators rebuttal, "They are already aware of their own faults, they at least knew some basic fighting skills to defend themselves until their beast are summoned." Yue Yang wasn't going to show mercy with his words. "Combat Skills are even more important since you have a grimoire, your enemies definitely wouldn't wait for you to summon it if they could kill you beforehand." His argument left no room for rebuttals from Yue Yan or any of the adults in the audience.

No one in the audience was surprised with his arguments either he had already long established himself as a genius whether it be in combat, learning or crafting. The Elders of the Yue clan even believed that he would be their next renaissance hero. Yue Yang was of course smiling as he knew that his status was now even higher in their hearts. Yue Yan surrendered after a few moments when he calmed down, though he still looked like he didn't believe his loss. The same sequence of events happened with Yue Tian a round later, though a bit more mockery was thrown at the eldest child. This time unlike the first tournament he entered 3 years ago, he finished in first and though he didn't care about the rewards he still accepted them with a smile on his face. It all would have ended there, if Yue Hai didn't make a surprise announcement of him facing off against Yue Yang.

Yue Yang was not happy with the course of events, but he had to humor the old man or the image he was building up would crumble prematurely, thankfully Jun Wu You didn't bring the tigress this time or else he might have had to face her. What happened was of course Yue Hai wanting to see where his level of the Spear Technique had reached, and he didn't disappoint. Yue Yang raised the level of strength he had been releasing to that of a intermediate Braveman and used around level 80 of the Advanced Spear Technique. He didn't even come close to matching the old man, but both his and Jun Wu You's eyes were sparkling so much that Yue Yang couldn't stop his anus from tightening up in horror. Afterwards he had to spend three hours convincing the emperor that he didn't need to go anywhere to continue cultivating. What a joke, how would he be able to access his IDs in the palace or Jiangnan Academy? Sure there would be beautiful girls, but what was the point when his body wasn't able to do anything. On a side note he needed to make time to see the empress and look at all the imperial concubines. He would pick the best of the best and prepare bracelets for them as gift, though he would need to make the empresses special. She couldn't just wear a bracelet similar to what others were wearing with her social status. He went home after the New Years celebrations were done and nearly cried when he heard that people were calling him the 'Spear God'. He didn't hate the title, after all the innuendo was amusing, no he hated the recognition that may further change the story. What he did after getting home was to dive into Greeds Vault to look for recipes and practice his Runes, hoping to figure out away to jumpstart his bodies sex drive so that he could start conquering women.

Yosh~ I’m off for the next week, cause I’m avoiding the DOT. Don’t want to be stopped every twenty miles while hauling campers. Eros shall begin after the next chapter. Also this author does not have as severe a ntr fetish as this story makes it seem. It’s just turning out this way because there are too few beautiful women for the Mc to take advantage of at the moment. Thanks to VIIAria and Alfanricuh for reveiws. *Bows*
