Chapter 3: Innocence (Tony Stark's POV)

My head is aching as I'm processing the information Bruce just told me. I knew he was right of course. But I don't see how we could have missed something important like this! I mean to be fair we don't really know the guy but Thor does! There brothers for goodness sake!

"J.A.R.V.I.S, call a team meeting in 5 minutes," I say, grabbing my tablet and motioning for Bruce to follow. He comes and we walk to the conference room. Slowly everyone trickles in and sits down.

"Why did you call this meeting Tony?" Steve says, looking at the tv.

I don't answer but I do look down at my tablet and put an image of Loki on the screen. Then I zoom into his eyes.

Thor looks confused and the rest of them are annoyed as they don't yet know the purpose of my meeting.

"What did you do to my brother's eyes Stark?" Thor asks, still clearly confused as to why Loki's eyes are blue. Me and Bruce launch into an explanation. Bruce explains how he found this information. The room fills with stunned silence.

Thor is the first to speak "How did I not see, I thought he was bitter! I thought he wanted a throne!"

I nod my head. Bruce looks concerned.

"When Loki landed he looked awful!" Bruce says this and hurry's to a tablet pulling up a live feed from where Loki is. On the camera feed, I see Loki sitting on his bed with his legs tucked to his chest and his arms around his knees. He looks defeated and lost. I also notice the scars and burn marks on his arms and for goodness sake, he still has the muzzle on!

"Thor, how do we get the muzzle off of him," I say looking at Loki's pitiful form. Thor grabs something and presses a button making the muzzle drop. Loki looks surprised as he grabs the muzzle and throws it far away from him. I see his face is tear-stained and injured.

"Bruce, we need to give Loki medical attention asap!" I say looking at the beaten condition he's in. Bruce nods and walks out the door. I follow and so do the others.

"I'll need Tony and Thor to come with me, Tony because he's a scientist and Thor because he knows Loki," Bruce says quickly. I nod Bruce leaves and I tail behind him with Thor behind me. Bruce knocks on the door. "I'm coming in," Bruce says, lightly pushing the door open. For a split second, I thought Loki looked scared. Bruce sits on the foot of the bed causing Loki to scoot away a bit.

"I'm going to take you to the med bay in the tower so I can get you checked out," Bruce says looking kindly at Loki.

Loki scoffs "Why would you help me, I'm the villain, the bad guy remember"

Thor comes through the door "Brother we know, we know you did not do those things willingly"

Loki flushes a bit "I suppose I have no choice?."

I nod and Loki laughs a bit. He uncurls his legs and sits upright on the bedside. I try not to but my eyes wander to the scars that are visible. Loki, who I assume noticed me looking, hid his arms. Bruce offers a hand to Loki who ignores it and tries to push himself off the bed. But I noticed he winces and his hand goes to his side.

"Yes, Stark," Loki says, watching me as he stood there shaking.

I hear Bruce mutter "He's in worse condition than I thought."

"Come, Brother, we need to get you treated," Thor says looking at his brother in concern. Loki scowls but starts taking a few shaky steps anyway. I was just going out the door when I hear a thud, apparently, Loki had fallen. Thor was trying to help Loki up but Loki kept denying his help. Though Loki did finally get up. Luckily the lab was on this floor or else I don't know if Loki would have made it. We made it slowly to the med bay because Loki had kept falling and refusing help. When we finally got there Bruce pointed for Loki to sit on the med bay bed. Loki reluctantly sat down.

"Thor, is there a way where you could use those cuffs to block all of his magic just for a bit because I do need to see the wounds to treat them?" Bruce says getting his tools ready. Thor presses another button and I see Loki look at him angrily. I see a green glow drop around him. He (if possible) looked 100 times worse. I examined him again looking to see if there was anything worth telling Banner about. That's when I notice slightly higher raised dots along the tops and bottoms of his lips.

"Take your shirt off so I may examine your wounds" Loki snarled at Banner and gave him a look of contempt as he took his shirt off. I almost gasped as I saw how bad it was under the shirt. Banner paled a bit I notice but continues on any way he grabs a cotton cloth and some rubbing alcohol.

"This may burn a bit," He says looking at Loki, he starts patting the swab on a large cut across his chest that is oozing pus. I can tell Loki is trying his best not to wince or gasp. I sit and watch Banner do something but I couldn't tell what it was as it was getting late and I hadn't gotten much sleep the night before. Slowly my eyes droop. On the verge of sleep, Dr. Banner says something that I couldn't make out.
