Currently, inside Shockwave's lab Shockwave was reviewing his fight with the Titan shifters. He tried to think of solutions to the different problems he faced during the battle.

'Driller-bot was necessary to defeat the Colossal Titan. My weapons were not powerful enough to penetrate the flesh of the Colossal Titan. Solution: Weapons with extremely high damage with a small area of contact with target.

Second problem: Doesn't have proper means to capture fast moving targets. Solution: Change vehicular jet mode to allow flight at low speeds. Try methods for levitation.

Third problem: Source of energy for Titans discovered to be originating from a human female. Detection occured by chance. Unsatisfactory. Solution: Find way to activate energy infusion in optics permanently.'

After deciding on his next plans, he got to work. The first he did was to try to permanently infuse his optics with Honkai energy. (AN: I have not properly explained this skill. The Honkai energy infusion skill both has a passive and an active effect. The passive effect is the permanent increase in stats with increasing proficiency. The active effect is to infuse any part of his body with Honkai energy which can temporarily increase the power of that body part. It's like the body enhancement magic from light novels.)

He activated the skill and tried to supply his optics with Honkai energy. He directly sent Honkai energy to his optics. He was able to see the energy flow from various objects in his surroundings like heat energy or even his own Honkai energy but it only lasted a few seconds. He then tried passing the energy in a circulating fashion. The energy instead of only staying in his optics for a few seconds lasted nearly two whole minutes. Intrigued by this he tried various pathways in which he can provide the energy to his optics. But he didn't it was actually a long-time project.

In the first two months, by using a method of trial and error he found out the best way to supply Honkai energy in his body. He first supplied the Honkai energy only a millimetre away from his Herscherr Core. He tried the different locations just a millimetre around the core to find the most efficient pathway for the energy. Through this method after a period of nearly 4 months did he finally find a way to permanently supply a little bit of Honkai energy to his optics.

But he was not satisfied with just this achievement. So he modified the energy pathways of his whole body spending nearly a year and a half on this project. He first found out the best energy pathways in his body. Then by using his Creation ability he created extremely thin hollow tubes which is set in the pattern that he found out to be the best. It was a tedious and tiring process even for someone like Shockwave. But the results were great and totally worth the reward.

A 50% increase in all physical abilities! That was a lot! Though it had been a long process Shockwave was satisfied by the results. He now had a way to always see the energy flow of the environment. He got out of his lab the first time in nearly one and a half year. He was already feeling a little more powerful than before. He then went around the nearby forest to kill Titans for helping him get familiarised with his new physical capabilities.

After getting the results of his little 'test run' he again went down into his lab to go ahead in his other plans.

This time he was trying to find a way to damage enemies on whom missiles don't work. Currently he was trying to increase the fire time of the laser which he used on the Armored and Female Titan. The previous laser was just a prototype and even using it for just a few seconds made his cannon-arm almost melt off. Now, he was developing a new type of aerosol which can reduce the overheating problem by a lot. But the problem with this new kind of aerosol was that it was extremely brittle. He tried to carefully place the aerogel inside his arm but everytime even a touch was enough to break it down. Shockwave was persistent and continued that process for nearly 2 weeks but seeing no more results he abandoned that idea.

He then tried accessing all the different research files he had in his mind. Every single file was recalled, every experiment, every observation, every single action, every little molecular movement was being played inside his mind with crystal clarity, as if he was seeing those things in real life. It is a skill Shockwave himself made in his Cybertronian days. Eidetic memory doesn't even come close to what he is actually doing. It was a skill Shockwave developed to help see him the results of experiments again and again without actually doing the experiment. And it is not limited to his own vision. His memories contains the files and results created by every piece of equipment in his lab. If he ever requires the heat distribution of an experiment, he just has to ask for it and his mind would present it to him. He doesn't even have to try it again and again to find the various results, because just for that moment during the experiments in his lab, he was omniscient.

Finally after a lot of searching, he found a satisfactory file. It was the file about the different data on how the planet Cybertron disperses it's heat from its core throughout the planet. He recalled the information and saw the different calculations, theories, hypothesis, observations from those files.

He now tried to replicate the way the planet distributed heat, through nanotechnology. And he was doing all of this only for a single weapon.
