Chapter 2: Buying a food with stone

Sherly walked out of that prison with a delighted expression on her face. She gazes at her surrounding and felt confused because this place is not familiar to her.

'This place is weird' she mumbled.

She explored for a bit and was shocked that all the houses here are so unique indeed. All of them are almost the same as Kianns', unlike what she knew of the house in her place.

She walked aimlessly for a few minutes and saw a middle-aged woman ahead of her. She chases up to her and wants to ask about what kind of place is this and what is it called.

"Ma'am wait for a moment!~ can I ask you a question? Where is this place?"

"Ohh!~What a beautiful little kid. Are you lost here? This place is called new royal street..." she explained for a bit.

"Thank you ma'am." she nodded in understanding and pretend that she is just a lost child and only ask that question otherwise it might arouse some suspicion.

She left after that and explored for about 2 hours. During her exploration, she learned a lot of things such as the precise location of this place. This country is called lipinimia country with different regions and this place is within region 4, under that region where many cities and here is called limston city, and so come the new royal street. She also slowly accepted that this place is indeed not the emperor's place as all people here are only mortals like Kiann.

Because of her frantic exploration and eagerness to learn this place that she didn't take notice of her growling stomach.

"I should eat first and find a place to sleep later it's already starting to get dark," She said to herself in a lower voice

"I want 3 chicken legs, 3 drinks, 3 fries.."

"1 burger and 1 fries take out"

She heard many kinds of orders and understood what's happening and she also lined up and didn't force her way forward as she was not a kind of woman who will bully the weak and fear the strong. She's still has a conscience and she was only overly cautious towards humans due to her experience and she will not vent her anger towards those weak mortals.

It didn't take long before only 1 person left in front of her before it's her turn and she looks at the signboard with the image of various foods with names as she remembered their names.

The man in front of her leave and now was her turn.

"Miss~ what's your order?~" The counter girl was a bit shocked due to her beautiful face, and unique silver hair, and mesmerizing blue eyes and she admired her. Still work is work and she asked that question to Sherly.

"I want...." many kinds of food was ordered by Sherly as the people in her back was shocked as they knew that she is just alone here and it only means she intends to eat all of that.

"That's all I would ordering... Is this payment enough?" After ordering she put 3 energy stones at the counter which dumbfounded the girl and also the people in the back.

Sherly just shrugged as she thought that these people were shocked due to her generosity. Because as far as she knew, this kind of food could even barely reach 1 energy stone much less 3 and the food price and at most only reach by a certain amount of gold coins a currency worse than energy stone. But her smug expression disappeared not long after.

"Pfftt!"

"Woahhh! That beautiful little girl is so amazing and brave!~ even willing to order that much food and pay with random stones. HAHAHA!!~" A man teased and laughed maniacally and resounded in this place and others follow along and laugh too.

"AHAHAHA!~"

"Miss, I think you're in the wrong place. If you want to exchange this stone into something then you can go to the pawnshop and appraise it.. I'm sorry but we do not accept that.. if you have atm card that will do, you can swipe that here..you have none.. then other currency is also accepted, you look like a foreign so your money should be in another currency...." the counter girl apologized to her and explained some things that may be of help.

"I have neither.." she replied and smiled awkwardly and removed her smug expression as she now felt extremely ashamed and humiliated. She is also angry toward the man who incites the laughter.

"Miss!~ if you have no money, I can lend you here and I can even give you some more... just you know..~" the man who incited the crowd to laugh walk towards her and whispered that offer as his face look is so disgusting and his saliva almost drops from drooling as his expression is full of lust.

He didn't even finish his sentence when his belly was shot fiercely as he stumbled and fallen to the ground as he groaned in agony and this commotion caused the crowd to look towards the source and only felt that a gust of wind came by and they thought they are hallucinating as the girl that was there before was now gone. Luckily there's no CCTV here otherwise it might go viral.

Sherly left angrily as she could no longer endure the shame and humiliation she experiences there and she vents all her frustration to that bastard as he teaches him a lesson. Her cautiousness towards humans increased once more.

She just walked aimlessly again as she contemplated what she's going to do now. Now that her energy stone seemed useless in this place. She then remembered the counter girl mentioned about the pawnshop.

She quickly found the pawnshop after asking some people around regarding this pawnshop.

"Sir, how much is this stone can sell for?" After entering, she asks right away.

"Please wait for a moment little girl, I'll appraise it." He left but It didn't take long before he comes back.

"Little girl, although this stone looks special, in truth this is only harder than normal stones and not valuable at all. I'll take the stone of yours for 1$ consider it as my gift to you and you can buy some food with it." He generously offered.

"No thanks sir, this stone is special to me." She rejected right away and pretended. She knew the true value of her energy stones and she also knew the value of that 1$ now. The energy stone she had can buy her a lot of food many times larger than what she had ordered right now if she was in her place. And that 1$ can't even buy a tenth of what she previously ordered. How can the two be compared at all?

She leaves that area and roamed aimlessly again while contemplating.

"Now I don't have money, I can't even eat food and fill my stomach that is growling now, I don't even have proper clothes suitable in this place as all my clothes are suited for battle mode and it is out of place if I wore that here, and now even a place to sleep, I have none. Money is the source of my problem and I don't have one at all. I am not even familiar with this place so how can I earn some money?" She mumbled absentmindedly not noticing the figure in front at the intersection as she just continues walking and both collided to each other but the only one who falls down is that figure.

"I'm sorry!!~..... It's you!!~.. you're that demoness you're here for revenge!!~ you're coming after me again and wanted to beat me to death!!" The figure shouted hysterically as he stood up and quickly run as if a killer was chasing after him.

"Hmm? That figure?..... It's that human! Yeah right.... his name is Kiann!" She was jolted awake by that collision and confusion flash over her first when that figure said that to her, but soon realization struck her as she chases after him while shouting his name.

"Kiann!! Please wait for a moment! Hear me out!" Kiann didn't stop when he heard that but he shivered instead as he notices that she was chasing after him as his only thought right now was to run or else he would die an agonizing and horrible death!!
