My Vampire

No matter how dirty my hands were, he still took them in his. He pulled me inside the enormous mansion. A red carpet was on the floor to cover up the hard wooden floor underneath it. On the ceiling, there was a chandelier with diamonds hanging down from it. There were two cases of stairs on each side of the room, along with two doors by the stairs leading to different rooms.

There was another door between the two staircases, and we were both standing right across the front door. Suddenly a tall man with black hair and a fancy outfit came up to us. He looked like an adult, and I didn't enjoy being around adults. So I hid my body behind Vincents, sticking my head out from behind him. Vincent looked over at me, a bit confused, but then smiled.

He looked at the tall man "Hello Carlton, this is Sky. He will stay with us from now on." The man named Carlton nodded with a small smile and got down on one knee. "Hello, Sky. It is a pleasure to meet you." I was so shocked that this all man kneeled in front of me. For some odd reason, it made me more scared than before. Suddenly I could hear more footsteps, then I saw some maids walk in.

They gasped, then whispered to each other as they stared at Vincent and me. They may whisper, but I could hear every word they said. "Who is that child behind the young master? Did he break in? Did the young master save him? Is the young master going to use the boy for food?" I ignored everything they said except for the food part. "Give Sky a bath and some fresh clothes to sleep in. Make sure his wounds are clean." Vincent commanded Carlton.

Carlton reached his hand out to me, but I went further behind Vincent, this time hiding my head. Vincent frowned and turned towards me, placing his hands on my shoulders. "Why are you scared? He won't hurt you." Vincent said in a soft tone. I knew Carlton wouldn't hurt me, but I didn't want to leave Vincent's side, just in case.

I felt my heart beat fast as I looked down towards the ground. "I can't go with him... I don't want to. Please don't make me..." I begged him. I could hear Vincent's soft sigh as he raised my chin with his hand. I saw a smile appear on his face. "I'll give you the bath and let you borrow my clothes." I nod quickly. "I would like that very much!" I replied, feeling grateful. He took my hand once more and pulled me up the massive stairs.

We entered a room that was significantly better than mine at home. The room even had a bathroom connected to it, which is where he took me. Vincent left the bathroom and returned, holding a white towel and some clothes. It puzzled me to see the clothes he had brought me. They were very fancy; I didn't even want to touch them because I felt like I would ruin them. "Take off your clothes," Vincent told me as he turned on the bathtub water.

I did as they told me and pulled my clothes off. Once Vincent finished prepping the bath. I got into the bathtub and sat down. "I'm sure you know how to wash your own body. I will wait in the bedroom when you're done." He said as he walked out, shutting the door behind him. I washed, starting with my hair and then my body. It started hurting the more I passed. The soap got in my cuts and hurt a lot more than when I first got them. Once I finished, I got out and dried myself off. I did my best to put on the clothes he gave me, but it became more complicated with the cap, waistcoat, and gloves, so I took everything back off. I knocked on the bathroom door lightly, and in no time, the door opened. "Yes?" Vincent asked.

"Um... how do I put this on?" I replied to him. Vincent gave a confused look. "What? You don't know how to put this on? Haven't you worn them before?" I shook my head at his question. "No... I have seen nothing like this before" Vincent seemed shocked by my answer. He opened the door more and walked inside. "First, you need to patch up your wounds. Then I will help you." He walked back into the bedroom, and I followed behind him. We both sat down on his bed, facing each other. He looked at my chest, arms, and cheek with a frown. Then, I saw him go through a box on his bed and pull out some bandages.

I held my arm out to him, and he wrapped it up carefully, but then I heard a growl. I glanced down at his stomach and then back up at him. His cheeks were turning red, probably from embarrassment. "E-excuse me... I-I didn't mean to... I just ha-" He stopped talking and focused more on my neck. I felt a weird aura come across the whole room. "Vincent..? Are you okay?" I asked, a bit worried. The other was silent and just kept staring, which made me feel more uncomfortable, but he was so pale. I placed my hand on his cheeks and felt how cold he was. "Oh no... You're freezing! I can go get some help-" before I could finish, he tackled me down and bit me right into my neck. It was so painful that my eyes watered from the feeling. ".. help..." I mumbled quietly, wanting to yell, but I couldn't.

I never knew I would die by a pretty boy with ruby red eyes. My arms and legs felt so weak that I couldn't even move them, and my brain was confused with all kinds of thoughts. My eyelids became weak, and I got light-headed. Suddenly Vincent pulled away and whipped the blood from his mouth. He stared at me and took a moment to realize what he had just done. I could see his eyes tearing up, and he shook me a lot. "Sky? Sky! I'm so sorry! Please forgive me... I don't know what happened to me!" Vincent yelled out. I could feel his cold gloves as he held my cheeks. "Stay with me Sky! I will get help!" the boy said as he left the room and the feeling of his gloves left.

I didn't want him to leave because I was alone, staring at the ceiling until it became blurry. Everything then went black, and I passed out. The next day I woke up and looked around quickly. My head hurt, and I felt like I had a nightmare, but when I looked around and saw that I wasn't at home, I knew it was all real. I looked over to my side to see a peaceful sleeping young boy. Seeing him made me feel happy.

I laid back next to him and moved his white hair out of his face to see him more clearly. This boy next to me was the one who almost killed me last night, but... I don't think he even knew what he was doing. Finally, I saw him open his eyes, and he stared at me for a moment before sitting up and hugging me tightly. I could tell by how tightly he embraced me that he was distraught. "I'm sorry, Sky! I'm sorry for what I did to you last night! I didn't mean to at all!" He buried his face into my neck. I hugged him back tightly and smiled. "I know. I forgive you," I told him in a calm voice.

Vincent slowly pulled away and whipped his teary eyes. "I thought I killed you too..." He sniffs. I tilted my head a little "Too?" I repeated to him. "What do you mean by too?" I asked. Vincent looked down and squeezed his fist tightly. "I killed my parents because of the same thing..." He whispers like he wants to tell me, but he doesn't at the same time.

I sat up and hugged him again. "But I'm still here, Vincent, and I will never leave you, okay?" He smiled at me happily and nodded. "Okay! Does this make us friends now?" He asked. I never had friends before, and I have always wanted one. This was my chance to have someone to stay by my side forever. "Yeah! You're my vampire and mine only," I said excitedly. Vincent blushed and smiled more. "I'll be yours forever," He promised.
