Chapter 3

A couple of days later were my parent's funeral. The postmortem had done and somehow I accidentally heard that my parent's accident was the work of someone. But the case is close because there was not any hard evidence. But someday I am going to investigate and search for the true culprit.

During the funeral, I could see many people who knew my parents came. With my consideration, Andrew also invited my other relatives, which may want my family wealth as the news about my parents' death had been spread when it reached the media. So, the funeral was changed from doing it among my close relatives to everyone who knew my parents. Everyone there came to me and said 'sorry for your lost'. I knew that they felt sympathy towards me but I do not need them. This because my instinct told me that one of the people came was the mastermind of my parents' death.

The funeral came out on the news. It was the main topic of the month. For the whole month news about their death were reminded. After the funeral, I was asked to go to my family's lawyer's office. So, I went there with Dew and Andrew. As I reached my destination, I could see all eyes were on me as I am the main actress that day. My father's will was read and also my grandfather's will. Based on the will, it stated that I am the next heiress to our family company. I could see many dissatisfied eyes were on me.

Well, of course, this would happen as I am too young to manage a big company. But because of my grandfather's will saying that if something ever happened to my parents I would be the one to manage it no matter how old I was unless I was five years old or younger, the other could inherit the company until I reach my sixteenth birthday. I think my grandfather gave that kind of will because he knew I was a genius – well not to boast or anything but that is what people been saying and I have been heard all my life – as he passed away when I was seven years old.

I want to put that aside. I was really shocked went I found out that my father put me under Andrew's wing and that mean I do not have to go to the orphanage. Well if I am not under his protection there is always my relative. But I am afraid of that solution even though all of my relatives are wealthy; my family is the wealthiest among the others. So, the thought of they might want my family's wealth kept popping up in my think box make me wanted to avoid it by any means.

After the reading of the will was over, we went back to the mansion. But I was shocked to find out that my father most trusted secretary, Mr. Ray, was in the living room as I entered the mansion. At that time, I do wonder the reasons he came as the news about my parents had spread across the country.
