We got into position and activated our dueldisks.

Black: This is our turf so I'll go first!
Dyne: Is that how it goes?
I asked Crow and he shrugged.
Black: I activate Double Summon! And with its effect, I summon 2 Solar Flare Dragons!
Two serpentine dragons appeared and the same time.
4 Star Pyro
ATK: 1500
DEF: 1000
Black: Hehehe then I set 2 cards face down and end my turn! But before you play, let me enlighten you about my two dragons here! During each end of our turn, you lose 500LP for each Solar Flare Dragon! So eat some of this!
The two dragons shot fireballs at us and our lifepoints took a dip of 1000.

"Shit, I know this bs strategy!"
Dyne: Crow, you can't attack either of them since one protects the other so we have to destroy them with effects!
I said angrily. These types of burn/stall decks annoy me to great extend.
He grinned and drew a card.
Crow: Pay attention now cause I'm only gonna say it once! I activate Allure of Darkness which allows me to draw 2 cards and then banish 1 Dark monster from my hand! I banish Blackwing Oroshi the Squall. Then, since I don't control any cards, I can special summon from my hand Blackwing Gust the Backblast!
A winged beast was summoned and took a defensive stance.
2 Star Winged Beast
ATK: 900
DEF: 1400
Crow: Following that, I activate Black Whirlwind and normal summon Blackwing Blizzard the Far North!
Another Blackwing appeared next to the first.

DEF: 0
Crow: And thanks to Black Whirlwind, I can get a Blackwing from my deck that has an attack equal or less than 1300!
"Oh shit! I forgot that blackwings play by themselves for half an hour each turn..."
My shoulders dropped and I pinched the bridge of my nose but I didn't interrupt Crow.
Crow: I take Blackwing Breeze the Zephyr from my deck and because I did that, I can special summon it.
3 Star Winged Beast Tuner
ATK: 1100
DEF: 300
Crow: Now, since I have a Blackwing on the field, I can special summon Blackwing Bora the Spear from my hand!
4 Star Winged Beast
ATK: 1700
DEF: 800
The more cards Crow played, the more the enemy's jaw drop.
Black: W-Wait stop! I activate my trap card, Just Desserts! That will teach you to play a lot of monsters!
He tried to sound aggressive but it was more like an annoyed whining.
Just Desserts dealt 500LP of damage for each monster we control.
"Damn, that's another 2000LP gone! Freaking burn decks!"

Crow: Alright, I continue!
He announced like nothing happened.
"Well...3000 out of 8000 isn't much but it's only the first turn."
Crow: I tune Blizzard and Bora to synchro summon Blackwing Nothung the Starlight!
An imposing buffed birdman with pitch black feathers and a big sword appeared.
6 Star Winged Beast
ATK: 2400
DEF: 1600
Crow: My dude here, allows me to normal summon an additional Blackwing monster per turn. Meet Blackwing Shura the Blue Flame!
4 Star Winged Beast
ATK: 1800
DEF: 1200
Crow: Additionally, with the effect of Black Whirlwind, I take Blackwing Mistral the Silver Shield from my deck. Finally, I tune Breeze and Shura to synchro summon Blackwing Armor Master and since I cannot attack, that will be the end of my turn.
A cool looking monster was summoned next to Nothung with its arms crossed.
7 Star Winged Beast
ATK: 2500
DEF: 1500
"He finally finished!!"
Understandably, the enemies are even happier than me. Though I have a suspicion that this wasn't even close to Crow's best play.
"He must've gone easy to see what I can do..."
Jack: Stupid Crow! All that and not even 1 point of dmg! My turn! I attack Gust with Solar Flare Dragon!
Apparently Crow knew that he would attack as a smirk creeped its way to his face.
Crow: I activate the trap card Black Sonic from my hand!
Jack: What? You can't do that!
Crow: Oh yeah, when you attack a Blackwing I can banish all your attack position monsters and if I control exactly 3 Blackwings I can activate it from my hand.
As the two Solar Flare Dragons disappeared from the field, Jack flipped out. Though what got my attention wasn't Jack, but Black. He didn't seem bothered by what happened and for a moment I thought I saw him raise his head and nodded for some reason.
I turned to Crow with a concerned look. He saw me and made a signal with his hand. I took that as a 'it's ok' signal and relaxed a bit.
Jack: You miserable runts! I summon Cannon Soldier in attack position!
A humanoid purple robot with reflective paint entered the field.
4 Star Machine
ATK: 1400
DEF: 1300
Jack: Then I set 2 cards face-down, activate Swords of Revealing Light and end my turn.
Bright swords appeared all around the field. Though instead of swords they resembled crosses made of light.
Dyne: Oh come on!
Jack: Shut it pig! If you don't like it, you're free to surrender!
"Chill Dyne, it's not wise to antagonize people like him"
I thought to myself as I try to calm down.
Dyne: I draw!
"Alright, they have 3 face-down cards, 1 Swords of Revealing Light and a Cannon Soldier. Sadly, I didn't draw MST. Hmmm...fck it! Let's do what I can!"
Dyne: I summon Battlin' Boxer Headgear and with its effect, I send Switchitter to the graveyard.
4 Star Warrior
ATK: 1000
DEF: 1800
Dyne: Since I have a Battlin'Boxer on the field, I can special summon Battlin' Boxer Sparrer from my hand. I can't conduct my battle phase if I use its effect but that doesn't really matter thanks to your spell card.

Dyne: Then I overlay my two monsters and xyz summon Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke in attack position. Finally I set 2 cards face down and end my-
Before I can even finish my sentence, Jack interrupted.
Jack: What's that pig? Is that all you can do? Before you end your turn I activate my face-down card. Scapegoat!
He mocked while laughing at me as 4 sheep tokens with different colours surrounded the Cannon Soldier.
Black: Hehe my turn! I activate Cannon Soldier's effect four times to tribute the scapegoats and deal 500 points of damage for each one!
The four sheep turned to ammo and got shot around me like mortar shells.
3000LP
Black: But I'm not done yet, I summon Fire Trooper and at the same time, send it to the graveyard to deal 1000 more points of damage!
2000LP
Black: Where did you find that deadweight Crow? In a booster pack?
An insult appeared out of nowhere.
"That wasn't even remotely funny...but he's right, my deck doesn't really fare well against decks like theirs. Though I'll make them regret laughing at me, and I've got just the thing for that."
Crow didn't react to any of that and was just watching me silently.
Crow: Are you done talking? Good! Then let's kick this duel into overdrive!
He announced but then I could barely hear him mumble.
Crow: Ugh, that's so cringy! How can Atlas say that with a straight face?
Ugh this chapter was a real problem. I've never played with blackwings but I know they can wipe the floor with the enemy by themselves and can easily overshadow Battlin' Boxers. Still, a few things came to my attention from this chapter. One of those is that there are too many Jacks in my story xD There's Jack Dalton the owner of the restaurant, Jack from Blackjack and also Jack Atlas.
