Ling Xiuqi's family fetched him home from the police station the next morning.

However, he did not sleep a wink there at all. His eyes were red and watery, completely bloodshot from the lack of rest.

Butler Xu was the one who took him home. Since the butler of the Xu family had served Old Master Ling in the military district, the officials would have to treat him with the utmost respect.

When he came to the police station, every policeman in the station had to bow their heads and offer great respect to him.

"No, he hasn't. Wasn't he taken to the police station for fighting in the basketball court yesterday?" Gu Yaxi was somewhat perplexed at his abrupt question. Gu Nanyu should be with Ling Xuqi now, why doesn't he know where he is?

"Did your family not go to bail him out?" Ling Xiuqi furrowed his brows in doubt.

A hint of embarrassment appeared on her countenance as Gu Yaxi hurriedly tried in vain to make an excuse.

"Brother Xiuqi, my grandfather's heart is in poor condition. If he found out about Brother Nanyu's misdemeanor, he would surely fall ill. My third uncle said that Brother Nanyu constantly misbehaves.
