6. Xu Xuxing and Jin Wenxue

The beautiful girl was named Jin Wenxue, even though she lived here she was the only one, she did not have any family that they knew of so they all treated her as their family and so did she. The other girl was just 7 years old and very cute when Tian Ye saw the girl his eyes had a bit of happiness in them as she was the girl that he had met early on in the game. The girl that once invited him to play with her.

The couple was shocked to see that the handsome man would pay little attention to the devastating beauty right next to him and only focus on the little girl… maybe they misjudged the man. Even if the little girl was very adorable he should not pay that much attention to her right? There was a perfectly beautiful girl right there!

Tian Ye did not mind the looks and walked towards the little girl. The little girl, seeing a strange handsome man walk up to her was very calm, mostly innocent.

"Hello, my name is Tian Ye. What is your name cute little sister?" Tian Ye said softly while approaching the little girl and half kneeling down so he would be on the same level as her.

The little girl looked in Tian Ye's eyes and said cutely "Xu Xuxing, I'm called Xu Xuxing big brother!" The little girl was not shy at all.

"That's a beautiful name, Xu Xuxing." Tian Ye said with a smile as he patted her head like he had done it hundreds of times, Xu Xuxing seemed to enjoy it too. After he patted her head for a few seconds he got up and greeted Jin Wenxue who was stunned.

Tian Ye got up and nodded with a smile at Jin Wenxue which got her out of her daze and she nodded back. Seeing that Tian Ye no longer paid any attention to her and got back to chatting with the couple.

"It's getting late, isn't it? Do you have a place that I can stay in?" Tian Ye asked the couple, as he finished Jin Wenxue held Xu Xuxing's hand and walked towards their resting place.

"Are you sure you want to rest now? We are about to have dinner soon so do you want to join?" Arther's wife Margret asked. As she asked Tian Ye got reminded that he did not eat today and he was very hungry.

"Oh, I almost forgot, of course, I want to join! Can I help with the cooking? I am quite good." Tian Ye said, he was quite confident in his cooking skills as he was LVL 5 in it, Players would usually need 4-5 years to get that far, much less NPCs which usually take much longer, that was the advantage that Players had in this world, to make up for time they had talent even if it is artificial. Tian Ye spent a lot of time away from any cities or towns for decent meals so he made meals himself, over the years the experience racked up until it had gotten to LVL 5, at that point he would probably become a decent chef at one of the major empires.

The couple was surprised that Tian Ye knew how to cook, but considering that he seemed like a great person why wouldn't he have some great skills? They both thought if this man could cook well the person who would marry him would be incredibly lucky.

Margret took Tian Ye over to the area where they cooked while Arther prepared the table. When they reached the area where people cooked Tian Ye saw very large pots that were probably meant for large parties and such, but Tian Ye knew after spending some time with them in his previous life that it was mostly due to them having to feed a lot of people and it was way easier and more affordable to just make one very large meal.

Of course, the meal itself was very costly for one person to pay alone so there was a system where everyone at the Alley would pay a certain amount of coins each week for spending on supplies and food, there was a mini-government in this alley and it worked quite marvelously.

"I hope you don't mind that there is extra work here, we have to feed a lot of people at once." Margret said to Tian Ye apologetically.

"No problem I haven't worked in a long time so it's a good chance to warm up." Tian Ye replied.

They started to prep and people started to also join in and help, there were nearly a thousand people to feed so naturally there were also many chefs, both men and women worked. As they started cooking Tian Ye started to show off his skills, his technique with cutting and prepping was leaps and bounds above the rest, and some people started to notice, his skills almost looked like they were made of special effects so it obviously attracted some of the curious children. Xu Xuxing also joined in as she was curious about the new uncle.

When Tian Ye saw the increasing amount of children he stopped for a bit. He looked at the children with a gaze of playfulness and said. "You guys' want to see something cool?"

"Of course!" A boy said.

"Yeah uncle keep going!"

Tian Ye laughed a little and took out a couple of onions, threw them into the air and this suddenly also threw his knife in the air at the onions with a flip. As the knife flew through the air it seemed like it had a mind of its own and flew towards the onions and cut them into neat little slices, when they landed the once full onions fell one by one now as clean and neat slices while the knife landed in Tian Ye's hand.

All of the children's eyes open widely as they watched the spectical, even some adults were stupidified. However, that did not last long as there was a consequence of opening one's eyes while onions were being cut… after a few seconds, the effect started to kick and many children close to Tian Ye started crying. Tian Ye knew that he went a bit far so he quickly borrowed some fire from a neighbor and evaporated the vapors.

"Now shoo! You don't want to cry again do you?" Tian Ye said to the children. Most of them were afraid and quickly ran away back to their parents leaving only one behind, Xu Xuxing who was watching intently at Tian Ye.

"Not going anywhere?" Tian Ye looked at the curious girl with a bit of warmth, even though he tried to hide it. The little girl shook her head immediately.

"Ok. Move a bit further back so you don't get hurt by any accidents." Tian Ye said softly to the girl.

She nodded and moved a few steps back while still looking at Tian Ye. She was really curious about this mysterious uncle that appeared out of nowhere and treated her really well.

Tian Ye stiffly smiled at the girl, while he did say a little further back he was hoping for more than a few steps by the little girl… but since he had said it, he couldn't possibly take it back from the girl.

Tian Ye just continued on working while sometimes stopping to explain sometimes to explain things like the correct way to slice meat or what kind of knife was used for what and so on and sometimes doing a trick or two.
