The Universe of the Underworld, Part 2

Breathing through the blissful air, I walked through the windy planet. My black pant dried soon, after walking through this planet. While taking a stroll through the landmass, I was constantly on the lookout for various unique herbs. I was keen enough to even ask the system about grass, but it turns out, most of the things of this planet were useful in one way or another.

"System, analyse that blue grass."

[Item: Water Grass. Rank D.]

[Eaten to obtain water based skill. Chance to obtain skill: 1%]

Fascinating. I could obtain a skill by eating a grass. Quickly, a smirk developed on my face. I ate a piece of grass one at a time. There were about a 100 pieces, so the chances I had were pretty high. I ate about 80 pieces until I finally obtained a skill.

[Skill: [Water Wall] obtained.]

[Water Wall]? I ate 80 pieces of grass to obtain the skill [Water Wall]?! No wonder this grass was rated Rank D. A [Water Wall] was the least efficient skill of all. Even people who didn't use MP were aware of this fact. Using water as defence would only slow down any projectile. In no way would it completely stop it unless the water was constantly moving upwards with a large force. After eating so many pieces of grass, I felt a bit queasy. Unknowingly, I deactivated [Red Shadow].

I shrugged my mind, and clicked on the skill.

-------------------------------------------------------------

[Water Wall] (Active Skill) <inactive>

A wall of water stands in front of the user. It uses 10 MP per second.

Skill Requirement: MP > 10

-------------------------------------------------------------

The skill was just as useless as I had thought. Even the system didn't make much of an effort to describe it. I walked further and collected more Magical Twigs which were pretty prevalent in the area. And then, while collecting Magical Twigs, I came across a glowing blue flower that was covered in vines. The vines were connected to trees in the surroundings. I could see the flower clearly through the gap between the vines.

"System, analyse the flower."

[Command accepted.]

[Item analysed.]

[Item: The Sacred Flower. Rank S.]

[Absorbed by whoever plucks it. Creates mana shield with no MP cost. Contains a large amount of MP that can be used for other purposes.]

I rushed towards the flower to use it. A mana shield would be perfect in such a situation. Fighting against a water demon head-on was too hard. If I encountered more than one of their species, I might have to retreat. I cut through the vines and reached closer to the flower. Just as I was about to pluck it, I heard a voice from behind. A sweet feminine voice with a hint of anger. Her voice was as sweet as a dish. "Don't pluck that flow-"

It was too late, I had already pulled the flower from its roots. After plucking the flower, I looked back. A fair lady wearing a green breast plate and a smooth green cloth covering her legs all the way to her ankle. She had slightly curly blond hair of which, some of her smaller hairs were almost shaped bangs. Her eyes were light blue which somehow complimented her pink lips. She was standing bare-feet on the grass, and carried a bow. The string of her bow was present between her breasts in a slanted manner. The string connected with the bow over her shoulder. Her ears were pointed and were partially covered by her hair that was blowing ever so slightly through the wind. Her abs were covered by a little bit of fat, which made her waistline perfect. One glimpse, and I could tell she was an elf.

I blushed as I looked at her, but didn't move to make it obvious. She continued to speak, "That flower was the one guarding us against the Demon God! By plucking it, you've removed the seal!!!"

She closed her eyes and twisted her hips to the side. She held her hands against her head while bending sideways and cursed herself.

"Urghhh!!! I had to deal with the chores of the entire town, then I made breakfast and I also did laundry today!!! And now this!!! This human might not even understand what I am saying!!"

She looked back up and sighed. Her sigh was the cutest I had ever seen.

She continued, "Look here human,-"

She paused as she stared at my large biceps and the eight pack abs I had maintained over the years.

She blushed and placed her hands over her eyes. "Ahhhhhh!!! Wear a shirt human!!"

A second later, the ground rumbled. She immediately changed her expression. A fierce and bold approach, to what was about to come. She pulled out an arrow from the quiver on her green belt and held the bow in her right hand.

"Human, leave this place and head east. I'll handle things from here."

She faced the source of the rumbling sound, and stood alert.

Before I could speak, the Demon God appeared.

1. A quiver is a item used to store arrows.
