I opened my eyes to the sound of someone breathing. Aiden sat upright as his eyes remained closed, wrapping his arms around my back. I got up from him and I grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around him. I wonder what happened last night.

I went to the bathroom and freshened myself up and when I got back out, I saw Aiden on his phone. "Good morning," i wished. He let out a soft groan. "What happened last night?" I dared to ask.

"You got drunk, blabbered bullshit like always, and passed out on me, then I finished whatever was left of the bottle and passed out too."

"Well at least you remembered to grab a blanket." He then looked at me, confused. "I thought you took the blanket." We stared at each other in silence. "Maybe someone came in and was nice enough to put a blanket over us," I finally said. He went back to his phone. "Are you going to go to school today?" I asked.

"No," he said blatantly. I gave him a quick nod and I bit my inner cheek. He then removed the blanket and got up. "I'll go drop my mom home. I'll text you later," and he left before I could say anything else. I see his morning attitude hasn't changed.

I got dressed and I ran down to the kitchen and ate left over food while dad laid asleep on the couch. Brian walked down as I took another bite of my food. He looked at dad and looked at me, confused. "Where were you last night?" I asked. "Dinner with a few friends. What happened last night?" He replied. "Aunt Zelda came over and they all drank till they passed out," I answered. "Where's Aunt Zelda now?"

"Aiden took her home."

"He left too?"

"Yeah." I placed my plate on the sink. "Can you drive me to school today please. Aiden usually does that but he's not going today. And I would stay home but I did that yesterday."

"Yeah sure. Go get your things." I picked the edges of my nails. "We're going to have to pick up Emily and Eddie too," I dragged. He opened his mouth, about to say something but I immediately cut him off by saying, "You said you'd go. You can't go back on your word." He let out a soft sigh and nodded.

I grabbed my things from my room and headed down to the car.

On reaching Emily's place, I looked at her and she looked mortified, but quickly regained her posture. Eddie opened the door and she got in after her. "Oh, hey Brian," greeted Eddie. "Hello Eddie. Long time no see," Brian greeted back. Emily stayed utterly silent. "Will this be an everyday thing now or are you just going to drop us for today?" Eddie asked. "Only for today. Aiden isn't coming to school today," Brian answered. Eddie looked at me, confusion written all over his face. "He's hungover," I clarified. Realisation seemed to hit him and he settled back down.

We reached school and I quickly got out. Emily immediately locked her arms around mine and dragged me to school. "Why couldn't you have given me a heads up about Brian picking us up?" She asked furiously. "Because you'll just find another ride to school to avoid him. That or you'll skip school and I really don't want you to do that because I don't feel like coming to school alone," I answered. She stayed quiet, biting her inner cheek. Eddie showed up behind us a moment later. "I'm going to go. I promised Clara I'd meet up with her before class starts," Eddie said and he headed off. "Well. At least one of us has a nice love life," I commented. "Well it's going to be two soon, given how Corbyn looks at you," she remarked. I rolled my eyes and as I was about to fire her back, she pointed behind me and said, "And there he is right now." I turned around and I saw him standing at the school door with his left hand in his pocket and his right hand waving at me and smiling. I waved back. Emily grabbed my arm and said, "I'll go meet up with Maddie and Alice. You have fun with your new boy toy," and she gave me a quick hug and left.

I walked up to Corbyn and he greeted me with a small bow. "You went M.I.A yesterday," he stated. "I wasn't feeling okay," I answered. He bit his lower lip and extended his arm. "Come. Let's get you to class," he offered. I took his hand and the boy led me inside. He walked me to my history class, kissed my hand and left.

I sat down and took out my books and the teacher came in and class begun.

An entire morning passed before I saw Braden standing outside my last class before lunch. The bell rung and I immediately got out. He gave me a cheeky grin and held a bouquet of roses. "Now, I know you said to wait an entire month to take you out on a date but go easy on me here. There's only so much waiting a guy can do," he remarked and I giggled. "So, I have the entire afternoon planned for us, that is, if you're willing to say yes," he gave a soft look. I bit my lower lip and proceeded to give a small nod and he instantly lit up. I guess my day had other plans after all.
