Regret

She heard her father say " please, this is the last time i will never ask" but there is no reply from her mother he continued " i know, I did a lot of mistakes and you will not forgive me but now i am very serious this time"

Still there is no reply from her mother then her father with pleaded tone "just help this time with money, i will come very clean and settle every matter outside. I will never bother you"

With a long gap her mother said " Do you remember how many times you broke the promises you made?" questioned her father and then continued " i am working my ass off to run the family, you running errands and spending all the money" even though they got married for 19 years they never get along. which women can bear this nonsense, as her working hard and her father spending all money.

" please Eli, just help me this once and i will never repeat and that's a promise" her father pleaded her mother.

" just stop with the lies , i am tired of it" her mother said with teary eyes. Her mother knew, he was just telling lies. It is the sentence that he uses everytime.Then she took something from drawer and throw it to her father.

"please never come back again, go" these are my savings, that is the only thing i had. Nothing i had to give you but me. She feel disgusted when he's around. Her father did not say anything. When lily heard the footsteps that coming towards the door, she immediately ran to her room and closed the door behind her.

She sat on bed and thinking how much pain her mother endured during all this time, where her father never once supported or take part on family problems but still asking her money to pay the debts that he made. She wanted to go back to her mom and hug her but she dismissed that thought because her mother always like a strong, stubborn woman in her children eyes.

When her alarm ringed, she turned it off and went to bathroom to freshen up. When she came in to the kitchen to make some breakfast but her little brother doing something.

"Good morning joe" she greeted her with smile. "what are you doing in kitchen, my little brother?" she wondered, he never came once in the kitchen.

" morning sister" he greeted her back with smile. " just trying to prepare some breakfast but i think i am not succeeded" he said, showing burned toast .

She smiled " you should either ask me or mother".

" Mother is still sleeping and i do not want to disturb either of you, so i was making my own breakfast" he said innocently with puppy eyes.

Her mother is still in bed room. Lily wondered is she okay? She thought to prepare breakfast for three of them .

" you might burn, now sit i will make you a wonderful breakfast" leading her brother to the dinning and made him sit their.

She made a nice butter toast and egg omelette gave one plate to her brother and took another plate for her mother.

She knocked on her mother's room door "mom" there's no reply. She thought her mother would be still sleeping so, she opened the door and entered in to the room. She saw her mother is still on bed but not sleeping just staring in to the space.

"mom" she called her mother again. But still there is no reply from her. She knew, her mother and father both did not have any good relationship. She can't blame her.

"mom, have some breakfast" lily brought the plate near to her mom so she can eat some breakfast. Her mother did not speak a single word. "finish your breakfast mom, i am go to school" she understood how her mother feeling right now.

She came out and went to her room to freshen up and got ready for school quickly.

She was on her way to school, suddenly a black Mercedes coming on her way with high speed.
