Dantian!

Drog raised his upper body and sat up on the ground. Doing so, he felt each place hit by Go, Ro and No ache with pain. He closed his eyes. "There are six things I must do to awaken my dantian. First, I have to sense it. Second, I have to use the first technique on it. Third, I have to pinpoint the five points which represent the five elements: Fire, Wood, Water, Earth and Metal. Fourth, I have to use the second technique on each of those five points. Fifth, I have to draw out Qi from all of them at the same time and sixth, I have to use the third technique. Let's Begin!" he thought.

He began slowly breathing, breathing in through his nose and breathing out of his mouth. With each cycle – thoughts left his head, until the point when no thoughts were left inside it. That was when he sensed his dantian. It was located in his abdomen area and it was small. It had one big point in the centre, eight medium points around the big point and three small points around each medium point. He activated the first technique.

All the points in his dantian started lighting up. First, it was the small ones, then the medium ones and finally the big one. A warm feeling enveloped him, but that feeling didn't last long as the next moment, all the points started furiously exploding. He snapped his eyes open and began coughing out blood. When he finished, Liu Ri's voice sounded in his head, "Continue."

He closed his eyes and focused on his abdomen area where his dantian was supposed to be. He sensed it, but it was no longer small. It had one enormous point in the centre, five big points around the enormous point, fifteen medium points around each big point, three small points around the first eight medium point and nine small points around the other seven medium points.

"Amazing!" he thought and his blood began to boil with excitement. First, he focused on the enormous point in the dantian's centre, but he found that he couldn't sense anything from it. Then, he focused on one of the five big points and he could tell that it was one of the points which represented one of the five elements, the water element.

He used the second technique and the point which represented the water element lit up, but that was not the only thing that happened. His body got covered by a thin layer of water and it no longer ached in pain. He of course noticed this. "The pain is gone?" he thought before smiling. "Let's continue." He focused on the second big point which represented the fire element. The point lit up and the rags he wore burnt away. Then, one after another, he focused on the remaining big points which represented the elements: wood, earth and metal and used the second technique on them. They all lit up but that was not the only thing that happened. The wood element increased his vitality. The earth element increased his endurance. The metal element made him feel strange, like he was incomplete.

"Now I have to draw out Qi from each of the six points and use the third technique," he thought. He focused on all the big points which represented the five elements: water, fire, wood, earth, metal and pulled out Qi from them before using the third technique. All the Qi that he pulled out went into the enormous point and the enormous point suddenly expanded, devouring all the big points which represented the five elements. But it didn't stop there, it devoured all the medium points and all the small points as well. His dantian was now all but a single point.

"Congratulations, disciple. You have done it. You now possess a dantian which is known as a devourer. A dantian which's capacity is six hundred times than that of a normal dantian. A dantian in which bottlenecks simply don't exist. A dantian which completely devours all world and divine Qi it encounters, and not absorbs a portion that one comprehends with their martial talent."

He opened his eyes and widely smiled. "Good," he said. "How do I cultivate?"

"If you try to cultivate now, you would die."

He frowned. "What do you mean, I would die?"

"As they are now, your meridians are far too thin and weak. If you tried to cultivate or tried to use Qi in any way, your meridians would snap and the Qi would destroy you from within."

"Then, how do I expand and strengthen my meridians?"

"You just have to wait."

"What do you mean?"

"Qi constantly flows through the body. It flows out of the dantian, flows through all the meridians and flows back into the dantian. After enough time has passed, your meridians will be wide and tough enough for you to cultivate, or to do anything that is Qi related."

"How long until that happens?"

"Ten years at most."

"I see," he said and stood up. Only then he noticed that he was naked. "What happened to my clothes?" he said but he didn't expect to get an answer.

"They burnt away when you used the second technique on the point which represented the fire element."

He raised his right eyebrow in surprise. "You are aware of what is happening outside of the pendant?"

"I can see through the jade and feel what is happening a short distance away from you."

He nodded his head in understanding and left but not in the direction of the previous Drog's home village but in another direction altogether. He walked through the night and the sun began to rise. But for some reason, he didn't feel even a bit tired. "Why don't I feel tired?"

"You have awakened a dantian and you are now a cultivator. You no longer need to sleep or eat."

"I see." He nodded his head. He walked ahead, without knowing where this path would take him.
