Chapter 147, Hidden Fears

As Arata walked to the canteen, the halls and corridors were silent for some reason. As if many of the students had left the school. As he was thinking this, he heard the voice of a senior, the Vice-President of the Disciplinary Committee and the Secretary of the Student Council talking about a worrying topic. The topic about the dwindling amount of incoming and rising amount of outgoing students.

"As I thought, the amount of student signing up for our school has dwindled these last couple months." Kazu Kizuchi, the Vice-President of the Disciplinary Committee stated, tucking his black hair behind ear and fixing the glasses on his brown eyes.

"The amount of students dropping or leaving the school has also risen." The Secretary, Nagisa Sasaki stated. "As I thought, the main reason is the fact that they are concerned about their safety."

"Arata being here has caused many troubles for the people here..." Kazu sighed. "We can't even say anything against him as William might do something to us."

Arata, who overheard their conversation moves away and starts for the door to the cafeteria. It wasn't just his imagination, there are lesser students than before. They've dropped out or have left the school, scared of the dangers that have begun to gather around the school. Dangers that gather around him.

He was overwhelmed by the realization of something that must've been ignored for a while now. That is, the dangers that come with being affiliated with him, who is so famous, so strong and so loved by dangers and problems. He, who is hated by the Chimeras and the Nine-tailed Calamity and Pierrot because of his power.

Arata, stood there, trying to calm himself, trying make sure that he must appear nirmal in front of the others. If they find out about what he is thinking, he's certain that they'd only be sick with worry.

Meanwhile, inside the cafeteria, the others were justing finishing their conversation when Ethan in forms them that Arata was approching. Everyone their to calm doen and hide the effects of their previous conversation before Ethan releases the barrier and the others all take seats and talk as if nothing has happened.

Not long after, Arata walks in, hiding what he has overheard. He takss a seat beside Liam and as he calmed down, he spoke.

"I just founs out something very useful." He stated and the others gathered together again.

"What's it about?" Dustin asked.

"It's about the Beacon." He answered. "I know why the Beacon is doing this."

"Really? Why?" Theo asked.

"The Gem of Arcane Sin, Melancholy." Arata answered.

"How'd you learn that?" Zhen asked.

I answer, Arata took out the Chronicle and turned the pages to the part with seal. A lock if you will, preventing anyone for usually opening this part.

"What's that?" Alistar asked.

"The True Records of the World." Arata answered. "Beyond this part is the very detailed and compressed information of everything that is happening and will happen in the world."

Arata undoes the seal my placing his hand above the lock. The lock fades away and the book shines bright. The blank pages that followed begin to glow and texts began to appear, word after word, all written in light.

"The future unknown, the present unfolded, the past revealed, be warned, for what lies ahead is not one but all." Arata read the foreword of the book.

"Meaning?" Lucas asked.

"It's saying it's better not to read the accounts of the future." Arata stated. "It's doesn't matter, what we want to niw is the past."

With a few turns of the pages, Arata finds the part which they were searching for and opens the book shines creating a world around them. They witness the accounts of the past, how the Beacon fell at Pierrot's schemes and how the Gem of Melancholy possessed him. The books shines again and they are all returned to the same world.

"If he is possessed by the Gem of Melancholy, what do we do?" Ange asked.

"Destroy the Gem." Arata stated with a smile. "But... right now, as we are, we won't stand a chance against them, Pierrot, Karin and the Chimeras."

"What should we do then?" Leon asked.

"What do you have up your sleeve, Arata?" Hiro asked.

Arata smiled as he reached into his shadow and pulled out a gems and crystals. Specialized Articles for each of them.

"Pick out the one that calls to your first." Arata smiled. "It took a while, but with Philia's help, I was able to perfect them."

"What are they?" Leon asked as he touched one and suddenly it glowed and became a bracelet wrapped around his hand.

"Articles. They should provide us with a much needed power boost but... of course you'll have to practice." Arata said and just as they finished synchronizing to each of their Articles, Arata felt something in the air and smiled. "Looks like you'll all get the chance to try out your new weapons."

"Oh? Really?" Hiro asked with a smile as Arata opned the window of the cafeteria to reveal the skies, clouded with a multiple Vortexes.

"Let's go." Arata smiled as he jumped out of the window.

The others follow behind him, each bearing his and her Article. They all gathered at the battlefield, where the True Beast of Canis Venatici and Canis Minor, Porycon and Cor-Caroli are standing before them with many of their fighters behind them.

Without saying anything, the wind blew between the two sides, Sirius watched from the other side of the Vortex with thhe other True Beasts. They hadn't permitted the action of the two, but if they succeed then, why not?

Meanwhile, Karin, Pierrot and Licht were also watching the battle at their end. Pierrot was a bit annoyed as the True Beasts didn't listen to him but he knew that they'd lose this battle. He knew it because, the Fire of the Fleur before them burned brightly and silently.
